I believe the adds date was pushed yet again. On FMQB, it now shows the adds date as March 22nd.

Heard this for the first time on the radio yesterday, but alas, it was a Hot AC station.

Third most added with 32 adds on its impact date, including KLCA-FM.

it's just a matter of radio latching on. "ex's and oh's" continues to sell very well to this day, and i think it would've gone top 5 had pop given it more exposure.

She's a great singer, but her songs do burn pretty fast for me, Ex's & Oh's lasted about a week and a half and then I moved over it.

What's happening with this? iTunes placement is promising for its small audience but its bullet at pop is only 10.

I honestly don't know what is happening. It's absurd, really. It looks like Pop is reluctant to play her for some reason. If you remember, Exs and Ohs were dropped pretty fast in its chart run. Maybe Pop just doesn't like her? I don't know. I hope RCA does something about it, this is a great Pop song!

This is too country sounding for pop, I think.

the music video's nice, but i always imagined it being shot in a biker bar or something like that. hac has started dropping this in spite of good callouts and amazing sales. the format apparently can't carry anything to top 10 without pop support. it's been stalling on pop for a couple weeks. if this is gonna do anything, it's gonna be a long uphill battle.

I'm so frustrated with Pop sometimes, ugh. This deserves to be MASSIVE, but it looks like it's not going to happen especially with how HAC allowed it to peak right outside of Top 10 this early in its chart run. I'll stay optimistic and hope it eventually turns out to be a SMASH somehow. Is RCA doing anything for this? Are they even trying to push this one? It got 32 adds the first week, but every week afterwards, it got at least 1 or 2 and last week, it got none. It's selling pretty well for the low AI it has, so I hope Pop takes notice soon somehow.

This one looks to be done. Lost 19 spins yesterday and 36 spins today. Brb, going to cry in a corner for what could've been. :'(
RCA really messed this one up, had they sent this immediately after Exs & Ohs to Pop, HAC, and Alt without a dual release (Under the Influence for Alt & AAA), it could've been doing better. The promo wasn't even there either and the video was released a little way too late. The one thing that bothers me is that to this date, this continues to sell well with a very little airplay, so why is not radio picking this up? Do they have some kind of resistance towards Elle? They dropped Exs and Ohs so fast after all...
On the other hand, it seems to be rising on Alternative now, so I guess I'll hope and settle for a Top 10/20 hit on that format.

Maybe Pop is deliberately trying to make her a one-hit wonder.
She's really being treated like Rachel Platten. X&O and FS were both massive sellers but relatively underwhelming support on pop radio and streaming; also, both were co-written by the same songwriter (Dave Bassett). Stand By You sold OK but was barely given a chance by pop radio and did awful on streaming. Now America's Sweetheart is being treated even worse.
Dave Bassett truly is a magician at taking a random female singer and turning her into a one-hit wonder. Can't wait to see who his next "victim" is. And to think I was a fan of the songs he wrote for active rock.

I'm disappointed because I love the song, but the reality is that this...as well as Ex's And Oh's and as well as the two Rachel Platten songs that were identified here...feels very much like a "Hot AC hit." Enjoyable, accessible, but lacking that "hip" factor that makes for an obvious POP hit.
Fight Song and Ex's And Oh's became so big culturally that there was no way pop could totally ignore them, but these really haven't made that kind of impact. So it's easier to put these ones in the same boat as your Kelly Clarkson, Goo Goo Dolls, etc songs that are far bigger on Hot AC.
Remember, Hot AC *does* seem to drive sales, so it's very easy to chalk up any iTunes success they've had to said format.
And as for Hot AC, the comparatively weak initial callouts (however flawed the system - and however much scores have improved in recent weeks) likely did this one in.

It would make no sense for them to send this to Alt given its poppiness - it would never succeed there. Alt/Pop split singles don't normally hurt Pop as an Active/Alt split.

I expected this to be hit. Screw radio. It's still doing nicely on iTunes.

Didn't they send this to Country a long time ago? I know I used to hear it on the Highway XM quite a bit (also aware they play random songs).
Regardless, I think this sounds pretty country for pop. But I hope it takes off.

Interesting, albeit brief comments on this about 37:00 into this Billboard Chart Beat podcast with Joe Riccitelli – HAC jumping on it early in a demo that's passive, but Alt not on board; everything not coming together at once like "Ex's & Oh's" was able to do with Alt/AAA support. His comments on it make me think there might still be a chance for this to keep moving here if it can gain traction on the rock side.
