Apparently the album is going to be more electronic-inspired. No more string instruments like on their past few albums. Interesting.

They are very talented musicians so I think it will.

Updated the first post! So pumped for this, the teaser sounds promising.
Right now, the album sits on top on iTunes. I think another big debut is likely, though maybe not matching Babel but we'll see. Sort of bummed the new single doesn't come out until just a week before the album release.

I saw the Gentleman of the Road Stopover in Maine with about 7 of my friends and...I was slain. I saw them again by themselves in Boston. The Jersey Shore (LOL) stop of the Stopover coincides with Governor's Ball so I will have to wait for them to do a proper tour and come to NY or Boston but to say I am excited for this is a gross, severe understatement. These guys are one of my favorite bands and I am ecstatic to see what they cook up next. Maybe another AOTY-worthy album?

I'm catching them at Bonnaroo this summer, I know it'll be a highlight for me. The fact that I'll get to hear their new stuff just adds to all of this

Yeah...if I weren't already doing Governor's Ball in NY, I would do Bonnaroo. I keep meaning to get down there, as it's the only major fest I have not attended but now that I live in NY and can walk to Governor's Ball...not sure if it will ever happen. I might also do Firefly this year too.

NOT Mumford & Sons out-Coldplaying Coldplay. YESSSSSSSSSSSS I can't take this epic-ness. I will probably die when this album is released and when I see this in concert.

I'm pretty underwhelmed by Believe at first listen. The lyrics are great, and the mood of the song is on point, but it really lacks the punch/energy that makes them stand out. Actually, it reminds me of when Razorlight tried to slip into this genre/sound and it destroyed the band.
Hopefully it grows on me over time.

This isn't bad, but it's not what I was expecting. I like it well enough, but maybe my expectations were too high. I was hoping that they would go a little harder. Something like an electric "Hopeless Wanderer."

One month to go. SNL performance on 4/11. Maybe playing one new song?
Generally the reviews I read of the surprise LA show were all positive with lots of U2 comparisons (for better or worse)

I've seen links for The Wolf around on the Innanets but haven't looked yet. I am still butthurt that I couldn't see them in NY. I am skipping this GOTR crossover (it's the same weekend as Governor's Ball and there are people I NEED to see there, whom I have never seen before) but I'm sure they will be back to NY or Boston in the fall.

I can't find The Wolf online yet, but just listened to the premiere. They played it twice! I want more listens, but my initial thought it this is bigger and better than Believe.
