I too, am surprised at the dislike. I'm loving this song more and more every day and I think the video is absolutely great as well!

This board is full of hypocrites Expanding on this would have been helpful. Or, you know, it could have not been posted at all, as it's entirely off-topic and is a direct insult to basically anybody that posts here. TheWolverine, please don't make posts like this. There are much, much better ways to contribute to the discussion in a thread. When it comes to music, people will like what they will like, and will dislike what they dislike. No one should be labeled a hypocrite because of that.

I think the issue is more with being mature and having respect for other users.

I think this one might have a good chance of 2 weeks at #1 when it gets there. The only real competition is going to be Canaan's song, but that one is been out for quite some time now, and with his album finally out I think we might see that one slow down soon. I expect Easton to last no longer than one more week, and then he should be gone. It also might depend on whether Blake gets 2 or 3 weeks on Billboard. If Blake winds up with 3 weeks at the top, then Jason will probably only get one week at #1.
I think the label will have an interesting decision to make about the 4th single. Jason's album sales are fine, but neither of these 2 recent singles seem like they're going to be remembered as much as other big hits like "Burnin' It Down", "Dirt Road Anthem", "Night Train", "She's Country", etc. "Tonight Looks Good On You" has had pretty consistent and decent sales, but this song probably hasn't been as big as the label was secretly hoping for. Consider that Blake's "Sangria" was released at the same time as this one, and that song is clearly more popular. If I had to bet, I think the label will choose between "Sweet Little Somethin'" and "Gonna Know We Were Here" as the next single. Originally when the album came out, I though SLS had smash #1 written all over it. I still think it'd be another easy #1 for Jason, but I don't think the impact would be quite as big now following two similarly themed singles. I'd personally like to see Jason mix it up a bit and release one of the ballad on the album, specifically either "Tryin' To Love Me" or "Two Night Town". "Tryin' To Love Me" has a little bit of the R&B tinge to it that is going over extremely well right now, and it's a change of pace for him that also offers some pretty solid lyrics. "Two Night Town" is probably the best song on the album, but I don't think it would sell as well as some of the other options (most likely), but I do think radio would really get behind that one. Needless to say, I think this next single choice for Jason could be an important one, not only for his album's longevity, but also to prevent any backlash against Jason about only releasing the same type of song over and over again. Jason is one of my favorite artists, and I don't want to see him get pegged down as a repeat bro artist.

Yeah, I think Broken Bow will maneuver this chart run to get multiple weeks at #1 as they often do. If I had to make a solid prediction, I'd predict that Blake will be #1 on both charts next weekend (July 4/5), then we'll get a split between Blake at #1 on Mediabase and Jason at #1 on Billboard the following weekend (July 11/12), and Jason will lock up both charts the weekend of July 18-19, so TLGOY will be a two-week #1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart.

Well, I sure hope that Jason would get two weeks at the top over Blake.. Jason's one of my favorite artists as well and I'm really getting tired of the "everything Blake releases goes to #1 because it's Blake" thing. I totally agree with you about what you said with not wanting him to get pegged down as a repeat bro-country artist as well but hopefully that "phase" is sort of settling down now. While I love every song on the album I gotta say "Two Night Town" is actually my least favorite. I love "Sweet Little Somethin" and for sure seeing that being very successful if they release it. I also love "Tryin To Love Me"... that's definitely of my favorites on the album. And as for "Tonight Looks Good On You," well, I still absolutely love hearing it on radio.

I would disagree with the 'it's a Blake thing'. Blake Shelton himself over the past few years has chosen to record 'safe' songs and release 'safe' songs. Not what you would expect from the FIVE time C.M.A. Male Vocalist of the Year.

I'm actually starting to come around to this single. This definitely sounds more like Jason Aldean doing himself instead of doing everything else. In fact, I think this would've been a much better lead-off for the era since BID felt more like a experiment gone way out-of-hand and JGS was simply phoned-in radio fodder.

Bit premature, but has there been any indication of what the next single might be? I'm not going to say the one I want cause everytime I do, they release something else lol.

Haven't heard anything about the next single, but Jason has already begun working on a new album according to this article: tasteofcountry.com/jason-aldean-seventh-studio-album/. Wouldn't surprise me if we only get 1 more single from this album, which would be a shame because there's so many great single options left.

If there's only one left that would definitely be a missed opportunity. I would like at least 2 more.

Considering Old Boots, New Dirt is around the million sold mark, I am expecting another single to carry Jason Aldean through the rest of the year. After all, four singles were pulled from Wide Open, five from My Kinda Party, and five from Night Train. Aldean still has the momentum.

He's stuck with Q4 releases every other year for his past 3 records, so it'll be interesting if he breaks that mold with the next era. He did release his first three records earlier in the year back in the day, so it's certainly possible. If he sticks to what he's been doing, then he has plenty of time for two more singles, and it could be that he's just getting into the studio early to lay down a few tracks, but it's not necessarily a given that it means an early end for the current era just yet.
I feel like at least 1 more single is assured though if he's just now gone into the studio as new music will be delayed until at least 2016. This era hasn't been quite as 'hot' as his last two, but digital and album sales are down for everybody, and his radio presence is still solid as ever, so I can still see him riding this era out for 2 more singles.

Let's start chanting Two Night Town... If theres one that could not only be a great traditional leaning song on radio, but also get some of Jason's momentum back that would be it.

Jason Aldean is currently riding his longest streak of chart topping hits. After the masterpiece 1994 was, it's been all #1 for Aldean: Night Train, When She Says Baby, Burnin' It Down, and Just Gettin' Started. Hopefully, Tonight Looks Good On You will be his fifth consecutive #1.

Jason's now over 8500 spins and increased over 100 spins since yesterday. BBR may be going for a second week at #1 which could've been 3 weeks if they hadn't played nice to Canaan Smith's song.

I'm predicting the next single to be "Gonna Know We Were Here". Although I'd rather it be "Two Night Town", "Sweet Little Somethin" or "If My Truck Could Talk". This is my gut feeling but I hope I'm wrong.
