Confirmed as the third single by her most credible fan site, official artwork, and out on ITunes.
Don't quite understand why my message to Kurt was ignored....

If this is true this will be the first actual POP-sounding single. At least it will be to me. FFS didn't sound Pop at all, and BBHMM, of course not.

I like this song but this is not the smash I've been waiting for. Hopefully it being a single is just a rumor.

It's on iTunes and Spotify and the video should be on Youtube/VEVO within the next few hours!

Definitely not in love with this song, was hoping for something more "epic" as the pop single. It's enjoyable but I don't think it's single material.

Song is listenable. Good message and vocals.
But I have to say, I have never been more disappointed in a Rihanna era. Please bring back MOTS tbh.
But, in all honesty, it's not all Rihanna's fault. Its all in these lame ass productions. I hope she works with completely different producer(s) next album.

This is my favorite single that she's released from "R8". I love the song's vibe and I thought the video was well executed

I don't like the chorus or the production, really. I like the bridge or whatever part that is where the production is soothe and she's singing "This is the new America..." she should have built the song off of that. I don't like the sound of the rest of it.

Once again, I applaud her commitment to pushing her sound and all this exploration, but I'm just not really feeling it. I kinda like "Bitch Betta Have My Money," but it's not a song I play much on purpose. This has some nice moments, but it just doesn't really go anywhere. Doesn't seem like something that even Rihanna could push that far on radio, but who knows. Quickly losing interest in the project as a whole.

0/3 for me. I think this is the weakest of the 3 songs she's released so far.

Wow yet another major snoozefest. Just a whole lotta nothing w/ this. Barely a 'song'. Very disappointed but more so like WTF is happening to/with her. She needs her old team, record company etc etc...just all of it back! She was on SUCH a mega hot roll w/ one effortless smash after the next. Now, it's almost painful and sad how bad these new songs are. :/

I can't see this being spun 10,000 times per week on Pop radio. There is no melody or hook at all. It's like she's trying to go all Beyoncé on us and failing miserably.

Yeah, this is okay....but as an album track. This will not succeed. I see what she's trying to do at this point in her career, but it's not exactly working.

I do like this better than her other two singles. Although this is nothing special to me either. If this is where her album is heading, I probably won't be buying it.

Going back to a discussion the first page, Sam Smith isn't one of the writers on this song. It's a man named Sam Harris from the band, X Ambassadors, signed to Alex da Kid's KIDinaKORNER imprint through Interscope. Here is a list of the composers: Here's an article from Billboard that talks about the song and its creation: How 'Born in the U.S.A.' Inspired Rihanna's 'American Oxygen'On another note, she's hype as fuck over these new songs:

"Trying to be Beyonce but failing miserably"?
I don't see the unnecessary comparison, but nevertheless "Four Five Seconds" was/is significantly bigger than everything on 4 - the first album where Beyonce moved from pop, & all but "Drunk On Love" on her recent self-titled. "Bitch Better Have My Money" has potential to do better than "Flawless" & "Partition" (its already out-peaked both on the Hot 100) which are the comparable urban singles if we're going to make this comparison. "Bitch" is climbing the urban and rhythmic charts strongly and has remained stable just outside the top 10 on iTunes..with a video, it'll surely return even without pop support.
How is she failing miserably? They might not be up to the chart standards of RIHANNA'S first singles, but It's clear that goals are different this go around and the material is far more left lane of top 40 radio. She is still making waves on social media and critics with the release of each new piece of music, and I think most here will be surprised to see how this direction will be rewarded in the future.
I'm sure there's a "Rude Boy" somewhere on the album anyway for those looking exclusively for a top 40 smash to deem the project a success unfortunately.

Easily the best thing I've heard out of this era.
Not anywhere near her best though.

I still like this, still love the video, but also am still put off by the initial Tidal 'exclusive' that IMO defeated the intended purpose of the video. They should have made it an open release in the first place. I'm not sure how I feel about its chances as a single - coming right after FFS would have made sense, but BBHMM being sandwiched in between them makes it feel a little weird for some reason, even if BBHMM is pretty much an urban/rhythmic only single. But this is my favorite of the three songs she has released so far and I suspect it will benefit greatly from a radio edit.

She's had better, but this is the best I've heard of this project. Don't see this doing anything on pop, though. "Trying to be Beyonce but failing miserably"? I don't see the unnecessary comparison, but nevertheless "Four Five Seconds" was/is significantly bigger than everything on 4 mm. Don't push it.
