This isn't all that great, "Crossfire" puts it to shame. I think it's more of a Hot AC song too, so it flopping doesn't really bug me.

If that's the case, I hope he releases a more Alt-friendly single next and it could do some damage control. Even if it isn't all that Alt-friendly, I wouldn't have expected it to flop THIS hard.

41 47 BRANDON FLOWERS Can't Deny My Love 184 244 -60 0.255 This is very disappointing especially considering that this is a song that fits in the indie movement and that he is the frontman of one of alternative's pioneers (The Killers). So does anyone wanna take a guess why this song flopped? This one surprises me even more than "Absolution Calling". My guess is that many Alt listeners are tone deaf

And it's follow up (Miss Atomic Bomb), unlike the last second single they released prior to that (Spaceman), missed the top 10 too. Then they released a new song for their greatest hits album that only scraped the top 20. This means that The Killers are starting to decline in popularity, just like Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes. What's more shocking is that there's a lot of promotion for his new album, so this baffles me quite a bit. I expected top 30 at best, but no.

I believe that was one of the last charting singles. #20? , but yeah, I see your point. Sucks , but true.

If "The Desired Effect" keeps getting critical praise, radio can't deny this single.

I don't find anything silly or "over the top" about this song.

I don't find anything silly or "over the top" about this song. I think the production feels out of place in today's climate. This would have fit in perfectly on Day & Age. The fact is the Killers have been consistently losing traction on radio since their debut. They're one of my Top 5 favorite bands so it pains me to say that.

Aparantly the Alt world is clueless to the two new Brandon Flowers singles off his "The Desired Effect" album. Basically made for the 80s buffs.
"Lonely Town" Released April 27, 2015
"I Can Change" Released May 14, 2015. Killer Bronski Beat vibe in this one.

I want Between Me and You or Lonely Town next. But given how hard this bombed, I doubt we'll have a second single.

Nah they'll send another. Beyond that though is pretty doubtful unless the second single smashes, which I don't expect.

Can't Deny My Love is probably my favorite (charting) song of the year! It's pretty disappointing how hard it flopped. New album's fantastic. I want I Can Change as the next single.
