Lately most of rap successful songs are trying to cross and failing miserably I was thinking the opposite. There's a whole bunch of urban crossovers that are doing okay right now. Ayo is rising with a decent bullet. You have Truffle Butter which a small hit. I Don't Mind and She Knows are moderate hits here. Then you have the smashing trio that is Weeknd, Natalie, and FloRida. It has been more urban friendly since the late 2000's IMO but who knows if it lasts.

Truffle Butter is way bigger on the Hot 100 than on pop, and the same happened with Tuesday. I doubt Ayo will be very far

That being said, I'm not expecting this to go top 20, but if sales keep up it could do some damage like Tuesday did.

I narrowed down because lately rap songs really have an uphill battle to do some damage on pop, on the other hand more r&B leaning song have not such a problem when become big hits in other formats (or have great sales). The exception of course is rap songs with a singer in the chorus

Already 7 adds on pop. I think this might start off strong but get destroyed by callout scores

I haven't seen a song get the club hyped as much as this song does in a while. This'll do well at pop stations in larger markets but of course go unnoticed at stations located in small town, square-shaped state markets. As for the pop chart, it'll hit a brick wall somewhere in the middle region of the chart but likely have longevity.

Already 7 adds on pop. I think this might start off strong but get destroyed by callout scores lol. I love this song, but there's going to be a lot of middle-aged conservative christian women having a bit of a shock when they turn on the radio! I wish Hot Boy got enough spins on pop to get callout scores, that was way less pop-friendly, at least Trap Queen has a strong melody to it.

Nothing spectacular, but pretty catchy in my opinion. I think this'll have some modest success on CHR.

I honestly think that urban songs would call-out much better if men were counted in the scores. I noticed that younger women are less receptive of urban in the scores than older women. I don't even know if young white girls even like music that much; all they seem to listen to is themselves talk and social media. Of course some of them are cool, down to earth, and have good taste, but I think good taste is increasingly acquired these days.

Ummm...I am not sure about this being a second coming of urban on CHR...The latest by Usher and Ne-yo don't seem to be setting the world on fire...radio tried to push them...both songs seemed catchy enough but both call out scores and sales did not seem to match...and they are now dropping both...I do see 3 main urban songs cacthing on..."Earned this", "somebody", and "GDFR"...the only one of those I am surprised about is the Flo rida song..it seems dated and flo has been struggling as of lately...but "Somebody" is catchy as hell...despite it being overly generic...something that has always worked on CHR/pop...as for "Earned this"...it is coming off a hot duet with Ariana Grande...and is off a hot soundtrack...Plus that song sounds of the moment.

Well, those GCBs can't be in for too much of a shock, cause that type of hip-hop was permeating on Top 40 radio a decade ago. And I don't miss it one bit.

It's not a song that's going to change the world, but its a fun club song that's got a catchy enough hook for pop to at least attempt it.

This will come and go (Hopefully). Callout score will probably destroy this song's chance at Pop (Thank god). I hate these kind of thing as much as Mark G. hated the idea Dark Horse being 2014 year-end #1.

This is so hot, I can't lie, even with him sounding like complete shit. Hopefully it can go top 30 here. I can't really see this doing much more than that if Truffle Butter couldn't do it.

I would rather have Uptown Funk #1 forever rather than this reaching #1
