Not that it will help all that much but, she will be performing on "Live with Kelly and Michael" tomorrow.

I have to say she's performing chart-wise, better than my expectation. I didn't expect her to stay at #1 all day yesterday, let alone she's still there. Plus Sparks is up to #67 on iTunes.
I remember there was a comparison between her and Adam Lambert to see who'd do better. She blew him out of the water.

Adam's album is #5 on Amazon CDs, the #2 new release on BestBuy.com. Hillary Duff's album is #32 on Amazon CDs, the #9 new release on BestBuy.com. I don't see any sign that she is selling much at retail. The reason she is doing well on iTunes is because she didn't have pre-sale, so her iTunes ranking is based on sales starting yesterday. Adam had a large pre-sale on iTunes and the pre-sale is not reflected in his ranking.

It's still doing better than i expected, after a 8 year break plus no hit and barely any promo/airplay.
It got 2 HAC adds only this week :/

And, not only that, Ghost Town has a good amount of airplay as opposed to the inadequate airplay Sparks is receiving. So yes, Hilary is doing much better than expected atm.

I agree 100 percent. For her not being in the music scene for 7 to 8 years, she's killin it rn.

Very nice to see the album is the first album listed under New Music as well as being front page as the #1 album (still!). "Sparks" is also listed at the bottom of the second column for Hot Tracks! This means "Sparks" is also getting front page exposure! The album also has a banner on the front page! RCA has been fucking up a lot with Hilary since last summer, but this is freaking amazing right now!

She's performing on Kelly & Michael tomorrow and The View on Friday, sad that her promo is only on one channel (ABC)

since she has the number 1 album on itunes.. how does this contribute in sales??? She's expected to sell 35K the first week by HDD. I'm so happy Sparks is still staying strong on HAC, I just wish it had a chance on Top 40. I hope if it goes top 20 they cross over to POP like RCA talked about..

I seem to remember Carly Rae Jepsen doing interviews like that at a big station and they never played her. Hopefully not the case with Hilary.

I just disagreed with the poster who claimed that she blew him out of the water. "Blow out of the water" is an expression that means to defeat an opponent overwhelmingly. The term isn’t used to describe a narrow victory, it's used to describe a victory of monumental proportions. Personally I think she should sell much better because she has a long-established singing career and is more well known than Adam.

LoL, I don't know exactly how much she is known for her music because last night on TV Land an ad came on for her current cd and I said outloud how much I Loved "Sparks" and my mother giggled and said "she sings"???? I explained a couple of her cd's did very well and she still looked at me like I had 10 heads. I KNOW my mother isn't her core audience at all but maybe she isn't remembered as much as we think for her music. LoL.

I should've explained that I was just looking at iTunes albums top 100. She was #1 and he was #6 at the time. I should've taken other formats into account though. She's still doing much much better than I expected her to do.

She's still doing much much better than I expected her to do. She didn't have the Pre-Orders. Any Pre-Orders placed via iTunes before the day of actual release do not count toward iTunes chart positions. If the Pre-Orders counted, I'm pretty sure James Taylor would have been #1 on iTunes.

She's still doing much better than much people expected. Hilary's last album was Dignity back in 2007 which didn't even impacted the charts that much, only sold 1,1m worldwide.
Look at Nelly Furtado: She had one of the biggest albums of 2006-2007 and then came back in 2012 and didn't sell 10k in the first week.
I hate RCA Records so much by the way :(

Part of me hopes this is an announcement of the next single and the other part of me hopes they use this song for the winter-time and release My Kind next.

This will be lucky to reach Top 20. If anything, sending it for Pop adds after it reaches Top 30 on HAC will boost the chart run, not only on Pop but also on HAC. But if they are set on pushing this to Pop after it reaches Top 20 on HAC, then RCA really should start pushing harder on HAC because it'll take forever. Sparks is a definite SUMMER SMASH but RCA is f**king it up right now, tbh.

Album #1 again on iTunes and HDD prediction went up a little bit.
If this is not a reason that Sparks could be bigger, idk what is. Stupid label!
