What songs became major CHR hits but got hardly any AirPlay after they finished their runs?

Basically everything released by Britney since Blackout. Although I hear 'I Wanna Go', of all songs, randomly sometimes.

I don't recall ever hearing Blurred Lines on the radio after 2013... Also Happy died out fast and I haven't heard it since like last June (on the radio)

Most hits from the artists during the teen pop era: Mandy Moore, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera (aside from Beautiful and maybe Genie in a Bottle), Destiny's Child, and even a lot of Britney (I only hear Baby and Toxic very often, sometimes Slave and Oops).
Also, I only ever hear Waterfalls or No Scrubs by TLC, while Baby Baby Baby, Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg, Creep, Unpretty, Red Light Special, and Diggin' on You were all top 5.

I can name plenty of songs: almost any rap or R&B song that crossed over to pop in the 90's and 2000's, pop stations no longer want to play hip hop and R&B and even the songs from those genres aren't playing over half of those songs, nothing from Jessica Simpson, anything from any 90's boy band not named 'N Sync or the Backstreet Boys, "Break Your Heart", "Glad You Came", rarely ever hear a Janet Jackson song anymore, "Too Close" by Alex Clare, "Sail", "Radioactive", "Part Of Me", "Last Friday Night", "Waking Up In Vegas", "Imma Be", "Written In The Stars", "The Show Goes On" (was a top 10 hit for Lupe Fiasco and rap stations won't touch it anymore), aside from "Baby One More Time" "Oops! I Did It Again" "Toxic" "Womanizer" and "I Wanna Go", I never really hear anything from Britney being played anymore, none of Demi Lovato's songs aside "Give Your Heart A Break", "Sexy and I Know It" (never hear that song anymore, while "Party Rock Anthem" is still getting played a lot), outside of "Low" and "Good Feeling" none of Flo-Rida's older songs are getting any recurrent airplay, any Selena Gomez song not named "Love You Like A Love Song" and "Come and Get It", "The Way" has pretty much been a forgetten song from Ariana Grande, "Cups", none of Lady Gaga's singles from "Born This Way" plus "Alejandro" and "Lovegame", aside from "Tik Tok" I never hear any of Ke$ha's songs anymore, "Beauty and A Beat", "Baby" (was everywhere for quite a while, but I haven't heard it for the past 3 years), none of Jason Derulo's songs aside "Whatcha Say" and "Talk Dirty", "The Man" (was a top 10 hit, and I haven't heard it on the radio since it fell off), "Get Lucky", none of Soulja Boy's songs, any TLC song besides "No Scrubs" and "Waterfalls", except for "Pon de Replay", "S.O.S.", "We Found Love", "Don't Stop The Music" and "Only Girl", I never hear many of Rihanna's older hits not even "Umbrella" as of late, any Madonna song from the 90's not named "Vogue" plus "Don't Tell Me" and "5 Minutes", any Mariah Carey song not named "Dreamlover", "Hero", "Fantasy" and "We Belong Together", "Cooler Than Me", and "Do You Remember" by Jay Sean all come to mind for me.

Basically everything released by Britney since Blackout. Although I hear 'I Wanna Go', of all songs, randomly sometimes. I still hear "Till the World Ends" at times, and once in a while "I Wanna Go" or "Womanizer". Otherwise I rarely hear anything on the radio from the Circus or Femme Fatale eras (the Britney Jean era doesn't count IMO as nothing from it was really a big hit to start with.) Of other recent hitmakers, I never hear Katy Perry's "The One That Got Away" (aptly named?), even while she seems to have more hits in recurrent rotation than most other artists. Pitbull has a lot of hits but only "Give Me Everything" really seems to stick around. Almost everything by Black Eyed Peas except "I Gotta Feeling" and maybe "Where Is the Love", judging from the Mediabase list given (surprised to see "Boom Boom Pow" getting so little recurrent play, not that I particularly miss it.) Almost everything from Lady Gaga post-"Bad Romance", except "The Edge of Glory". (Five years ago this week "Telephone" was in a 6-week run at #1 at CHR, but you'd never know it from the recurrent figures.)

I heard "Genie" on my local CHR station a few weeks ago, and I almost thought I was hearing things. I swear I hadn't heard it on the radio since 1999. A few I can think of: Ashlee Simpson- Peices Of Me Ryan Cabera- On The Way Down Black Eyed Peas- I Gotta Feeling Pink- Get The Party Started Avri Lavigine- Complicated Justin Timberlake- My Love, Sexyback TI ft. Justin Timberlake- Dead & Gone

Ollivia Newton-John's physicall comes to mind.
I hear some of Britney's songs every now and then (Till The World Ends and Circus mainly). I never hear anything from Blackout though unfortunately aside from Gimme More maybe a few times a year at bars.

Hot Chelle Rae's hit "Tonight Tonight" was impossible to avoid on the radio in 2011, but I've barely heard it since.

Mariah Carey's whole TEOM comeback era...We Belong Together, Shake It Off and especially Don't Forget About Us. "We Belong Together" is definitely still played. Maybe not at Top 40 but on the other formats it is.EDIT: I didn't read the OP was talking about CHR specifically.

On the whole, Top 40 radio doesn't give nearly as much recurrent play as AC.
If it's strictly about CHR, I was gonna say, that Janet Jackson's tracks get some play at other formats- the most being Urban AC and Rhythmic AC. She doesn't get much at AC.

This thread is bringing back memories. "Somebody that I used to know", "Call me maybe", anything by Fun., "Tonight Tonight", "Happy", "Party Rock Anthem", anything by Katy Perry pre-Roar, "Don't You Worry Child", "I Knew You Were Trouble" (although this might be because of how big the 1989 singles are), so many others.
However, I would argue that recurrent play isn't really relevant when it comes to CHR/Pop as the recurrent songs they do play are typically by artists that remain culturally relevant and/or have had a recent big hit. You are quite unlikely to hear anything by someone who hasn't had a radio hit in the past ~10 years unless stations have an incentive to play them.
Some exceptions to this that come to mind might be Pink's "Just Give Me a Reason", which I haven't heard on the radio since it was charting, or Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" (oddly enough, I still hear "Dark Side" somewhat regularly...), basically anything by J Biebs or 1D post-charting (except I still hear "What Makes You Beautiful" once in a great while, but even "Story of my Life" isn't played much on my local station anymore). I would say all of these artists are still culturally relevant and have had a radio hit in some capacity in the recent past, yet their songs don't get much recurrent airplay.

Are we talking strictly Top 40 or all formats? I'm pretty sure I can tune into a HAC station and hear P!nk's entire discography anytime.

aside from "Tik Tok" I never hear any of Ke$ha's songs anymore I heard "Die Young" on my local CHR just tonight. Otherwise, though, that's mostly true as well, perhaps because most of her hits so far have been pretty much retreads of "Tik Tok", musically and/or lyrically.
