This could be her On The Floor! Is it just me or does she sound like MJ style sometimes? The way she sings it.

I guess. It is a bore to me. It reminds me of Usher "I Don't Mind", which got a lot of hate when it leaked yet this one is being praised (eh). They sound nothing alike imo. If you say so, the rhythmic is similar, imo.

I agree with the I Don't Mind similarities.
I am not really blown away by this, on second listen. It's cute, but I wish the production came a little harder. I think I prefer I Bet.

LOL spot on with the J Lo comparison and it also reminds me of Keep Dancin On Me a wee bit but yes, this is everything I didn't know I wanted and needed from Ciara. Better than the majority of her first 3 albums.

This could be her On The Floor! Is it just me or does she sound like MJ style sometimes? The way she sings it. The pre hook especially The prehook is the best part. I hear some MJ influence for sure. But if we're going to compare, the verses remind me of something Tinashe or The Weeknd (pre-sell out) may have done, except with a "made for mainstream" chorus stamped on. The verses also remind me slightly of "Novacane" by Frank Ocean.

They sound nothing alike imo. If you say so, the rhythmic is similar, imo. I wish Usher had released something like this instead of IDM. It would have been something I actually liked, and it probably would have been a huge hit for him. People didn't have a problem so much with I Don't Mind's rhythm (in fact the reason it chugged its way to being a radio hit is because it was so annoyingly catchy), it was with the lyrics which crossed the line from atrociously bad to Lonely Island parody levels. If you'd told me it was their follow up to Dick In a Box I wouldn't have blinked twice; it was that level of silly. It was also a lot more sparse than this...IDM and DLWML have that minimalist sound in common, but this feels more fully realized and Ciara isn't singing absurdly stupid shit on top of the beat. That alone makes a huge difference.

Definitely my second favorite Ciara single of the past few years behind "Body Party". The instrumental reminds me of Phil Collins. Melodically, I'm definitely getting Tinashe vibes.

So smooth and clear. It's hot. That chorus is infectious.

I do see the I Don't Mind comparisons. I find this to be okay. I wish it had some more dynamics because it honestly falls a bit flat. Hopefully we have at least one bop as good as "Overdose" on her album.

I like this. It does have that minimalist feel of "I Don't Mind".

"I Don't Mind" got hate mainly because the lyrics were RIDICULOUS and it was beyond basic for an Usher single.
I don't think this sounds anything like IDM. The chorus on this is just... PLUSH. I don't think this is going to set the world on fire, but it stands out to me, which is a good thing.

This is definitely her strongest single choice since the "Goodies" days.

This is definitely her strongest single choice since the "Goodies" days. I agree. It has a Pop chorus, it's set for universal play.

I like this, but it sounds too much like a demo. It feels that the track should go harder, the vocal should be stronger, and that the production should compliment the actual song more than just being nice on its own.
I do see the slight similarities with IDM, but they're negligible overall.

I think it sounds very dark and gritty. It's pop with an edge.

Just hearing this for the first time. I'm totally impressed, really digging the dark vibe. Praying this will be big for Cici.
I don't hear the Usher comparisons at all. I hear the minimalist approach on this track, but not on IDM. Production wise I feel like IDM is far more polished in the sense that the instrumental loop is pronounced, melodic, and more cheery.

This was just digitally serviced, now we can assume it will receive a single treatment (or still maybe?).

This was just digitally serviced, now we can assume it will receive a single treatment (or still maybe?). Do they send all future singles to digital? Like would they send a 3rd and 4th single before they actually get released? This is so confusing smh.
