LOL All Time Low will not be #1 on BB200, they might have the #1 album on traditional sales though

The Fast & Furious 7 soundtrack will probably get at least half as many units just from sales of See You Again as All Time Low will sell in total album sales. It's going to be #1 on the BB200, that's not even a question. Unless somebody drops a surprise album in the next 24 hours.

What? You know it's a slow week for releases when ATL has a chance at a #1 album

^That's why Top Album Sales exists. :)
As for an actual SoundScan-era low for a No. 1, i don't think we'll be seeing a title challenge for that anytime soon.

Caroline and L.A. indie Hopeless could score their first-ever #1 on our sales chart next week, as All Time Low looks headed for the top. The Furious 7 soundtrack could challenge, however, if the movie has another strong weekend. F7 will land the top spot on our SPS chart, marking only the second time the top of the two charts have differed. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend.
*All Time Low (Hopeless) 62-67k albums, 67-72k SPS Furious 7 (Atlantic) 50-55k albums, 95-100k SPS Kendrick Lamar (TDE/Aftermath/Interscope) 24-27k albums, 35-40k SPS Empire Cast (Twentieth Century Fox/Columbia) 24-27k albums, 30-35k SPS Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 24-27k albums, 40-45k SPS Wale (Atlantic) 21-24k albums, 28-32k SPS Sam Smith (Capitol) 21-24k albums, 35-40k SPS Fall Out Boy (D2DC/Island) 21-24k albums, 30-35k SPS Maroon 5 (222/Interscope) 21-24k albums, 45-50k SPS Darius Rucker (Capitol Nashville) 18-21k albums, 21-24k SPS Imagine Dragons (Kidinakorner/Interscope) 17-20k albums, 21-24k SPS *Brian Wilson (Capitol) 17-20k albums, 18-21k SPS Ed Sheeran (Atlantic) 17-20k albums, 30-35k SPS *Matt & Kim (Harvest) 15-18k albums, 17-20k SPS Fifty Shades of Grey (Republic) 15-18k albums, 40-45k SPS Meghan Trainor (Epic) 15-18k albums, 30-35k SPS Ludacris (Def Jam) 15-18k albums, 22-25k SPS *Lord Huron (IAMSOUND) 15-18k albums, 17-20k SPS
*Debuts

Can we take a second to acknowledge that without the recent rule change, if the F7 soundtrack wasn't getting an extra boost from Paul Walker's tragic death, and All Time Low had chosen another week to release their album, the #1 album would have sold less than 30k? #TIDAL4ALL

I don't like All Time Low at all, but it sucks that they get screwed out of a #1 album because Billboard's bullshit TEA rules boost Furious 7 due to single sales of one damn song.

More than just one song actually. There is a GDFR remix plus a couple other songs getting downloads as well

Maroon 5 might be top 5, great longevity, obviously because Sugar is the biggest hit from the album so far.

I hate SPS...and the irony if ATL debuted with the ATL for a #1 album.

45K seems like a super conservative TEA/SEA estimate for Furious 7. Isn't "See You Again," alone, tracking for about 500,000 sales (50K SPS points)?

Not great for Kendrick - hopefully "King Kunta" becomes a hit and pushes album sales a bit.

For those who want to track the top-selling albums, and just the top-selling albums, the BB 200 no longer is the place to look. If ATL sells the most albums, it will be No. 1 on Top Album Sales- so the band will not be getting screwed out of No. 1

I hate SPS...and the irony if ATL debuted with the ATL for a #1 album. If they sell 60k they'll have done 20k more than the all time low for #1, Mission Bell by Amos Lee in 2011

Does anyone recognize Top Album Sales as an official chart at all? No, all of the attention is on the 200.

From my point of view, BB200 is the official one, basically because it follows my own consuming habits. I do not buy albums any more really, I've bought 2 this year and those only because they were useful for DJ gigs.

Does anyone recognize Top Album Sales as an official chart at all? No, all of the attention is on the 200. And that's why Top Album Sales and Top Current Albums are only 100 positions... Anyway, I'll reserve my rants about the new Billboard 200 to myself.

Also, is All Time Low's pure sales opening higher than that if Sia's "1000 Forms of Fear"?

On the same level, until we get the final numbers..
All Time Low are going to be #1 or #2 in the UK too so it's not that they're coming out of nowhere.

Also, is All Time Low's pure sales opening higher than that if Sia's "1000 Forms of Fear"? She opened with 52k. They're looking at 10k more than that.
