I presume this is going to get a push on all formats, CHR/Pop, CHR/Rhythmic, and Urban. Can't wait! SOURCE

I know there have been other rumors floating around, but I really really hope this is either uptempo or at least something along the lines of Thirsty beat wise. I can't see a ballad or anything with a throwback sound doing well on CHR, if in fact it gets pushed here.

And, since that B96, HOT 99.5 (DC), and 107.9 Sacramento has heard this in advance, I'm confident that this is having a radio deal but only time will tell.

The next Song Of The Decade. It's that time again in Mariahland How epic would it be if this was a mega smash, considering her biggest smash in the 90's and 00's came in '95 and '05. Time to do it all over again?

Worries me too. Touch My Body is basically her Born This Way. Yes it was a #1 hit at the time, but it was due to the hype/momentum she had and the song itself did some serious damage to her success I'd argue. As evidenced by the fact that she stopped having big hits almost immediately after. Not to mention TMB would obviously be wildly out of place in today's mainstream scene. So no, TMB comparisons are not something to be hopeful about.

If something did damage to her success back in 2008 it was the release of "Bye Bye".

You don't release a song like "Bye Bye" when you have smashes like "Migrate" and "Side Effects" under your wing to release.

I believe the "Touch My Body" comparisons may be because she supposedly is singing the verses quickly and the chorus is super catchy. BTW, are people forgetting about "Obsessed"? that was a pretty big hit and it came after "Touch My Body". LoL.

You don't release a song like "Bye Bye" when you have smashes like "Migrate" and "Side Effects" under your wing to release. Yes, but Bye Bye was merely the second mistake of the era. TMB is still the first and arguably set the tone for the whole era to disappoint. It is one of Mariah's only #1's or big hits that was very much a love or hate type of song even when it was released. The hype definitely got it to #1, but some of her new-found TEOM fans were already losing interest after it. Migrate was an unabashed smash though, and definitely could have saved the era (and who knows what else) if it had been second. Hell, even third. Such a stupid mistake. Then you had Side Effects with great urban potential and For the Record with great pop potential. Alas, we shall never know what could have been.

For the hell of it, the CHR peaks of all the #1s:
Vision of Love - #1 Love Takes Time - #1 Someday - #1 I Don't Wanna Cry - #1 Emotions - #1 I'll Be There - #1 Dreamlover - #1 Hero - #1 Fantasy - #1 One sweet Day - #1 Always Be My Baby - #2 Honey - #10 My All - #18 Heartbreaker - #21 Thank God I Found You - #28 We Belong Together - #1 Don't Forget About Us - #3 Touch My Body - #7
Tracks That Hit #1 on CHR but not the Hot 100:
Can't Let Go (#2 Hot 100) Make It Happen (#5 Hot 100) Shake It Off (#2 Hot 100)

It is a travesty that ABMB didn't hit #1 and that Honey, My All, and Heartbreaker didn't peak higher.
