Starting to see some early action at Hits 1 and KMVQ. "Hold My Hand" recently spent three weeks atop the U.K. Singles Chart.

Great song. She looks a tiny bit like Katy Perry.

YES! Anyway, I guess this is expected to be honest if it's considered that Jess is planning to release an EP in the States before her debut album is out, but I'm not complaining about this choice because the track has grown a lot on me after it came out early this year and I hope it could be her solo breakthrough single as well there.

Love this song, it's been one of my favorites the past month. Jess is a perfect popstar, her voice is spot on. Would love for it to see some success over here. Starsmith is one of my favorite producers and he had been quiet for a while, glad to hear his work again.

This is amazing! I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and KMVQ is already playing this regularly. Thankfully, they jump on these songs that no one else will play until much later. I can't wait for this to smash too!

This is a great song! I love this and I hope this can smash in the US, just like "Rather Be" did.

I actually did just hear this on KMVQ and got so excited but I doubt it will do much. Basics aren't ready.

I like this, but she could have come harder. Oh well, at least she's channelling 1992 better than Kiesza.
I can definitely see this going top 10 if all goes well, but it's definitely not guaranteed.

Love her! I hope she could get recognition in US. Wow, lately, there's so much promising British breakthrough acts!

I like this, but she could have come harder. I agree. I've been rooting for her since Route 94's "My Love" but the massive success of "Hold My Hand" in the UK leaves me perplexed. I knew it'd be a hit there because of her momentum, but a 3 week #1? It sounds too demo-ish for that imo. This is one of the few cases where I think a huge UK pop hit has zero US appeal, but who knows. I could be wrong here too. Jess Glyne > Kiesza "Hideaway" > any of Jess' songs* *not counting "My Love" ofc

I have to disagree there. Hideaway was a bad attempt merging 90s House with modern EDM and it didn't mesh well.
This is more in line as a throwback, but the final product is much stronger for what it tries to be.

Couldnt disagree more. I cant stand this song and I loved Hideaway, I thought it was a much better representation of 90s house, and I did live through 90s house dominating the charts here in Europe.

I'd love for her to have more US success, but I don't see it happening with this. The "Hold my hand" parts just sound so awkward and ruin the entire song for me.

I have to echo the comments about this probably not doing much here. It just doesn't sound like something the US market would get behind too well. I do really like it, though. Glad to see it having such major success in the UK.

This won't do anything in the States. This type of all out deep house diva sound is not popular there at all.

I don't think this is a non-starter on Pop for a few reasons:
It's more Pop with House influences that vice versa, in the vein of Rather Be and Real Love. It takes the strengths of 90s House and merges it with a modern production and instrumentation, so it feels fresh.
Rather Be is easily the better Pop song, but this reminds me of it because it just punches with hook after hook. It pummels you into submission.
The energy of this is contagious. There's a build up to the chorus, sure, but this hits the ground in a full sprint the second that first piano chord hits.
That said, I think this would most benefit from a cute viral video to get the signal boost it needs to get picked up across the board.

Alright, Jess Glynne. I see you serving us that 90's house throwback sound with the spot-on effortless vocals to match. I'm ready for this, there's no denying!

LOVE this song! I'm still upset as to why Clean Bandit's label decided not to push "Real Love" as a second single to US radio?

I like the song and I can see this being a modest hit. I don't think Jess is a great live performer so that may slow its promo.

Isn't it obvious it will flop on US pop radio? BTW, I love the song
