I don't see Stitches going any higher than #4. The competition is too tough in the Top 3. Not to mention, there's a lot of new songs that will be racing to the top of the charts.

I'm wondering which track he is releasing next. Maybe a new song?

They should follow the Ed Sheeran-esque sound then.

I hope this makes it to at least #2. #1 still seems hard but that'd be incredible.

The success of this song feels like such a non-event.

Looks like #1 is happening. There's a slight chance of #2 by the final update!

Its especially cool that Shawn will replace Taylor at #1 since he was her opening at on all her US/Canada stadium dates for the 1989 tour! I'm so happy Shawn is having success with this song, and I'd call it a major event in every way!

One of my favorite songs at radio currently. Totally here for it hitting #1!

The success of this song feels like such a non-event. But it is, this is exactly what people like Austin Mahone or Cody Simpson are looking for from the beginning of their careers, a song that put them on the map and make easier another hit single on radio. He seems to be a low key guy which is great (i'm a little tired of singers that promote themselves using their private lives) now the question is if his label will take profit of his success and will promote a new single the right way or it will mess up like they did with the first two singles

I still love this. I don't know any of his other material but between "Stitches" and his cover of "Hello" I'm convinced that he's a real talent and he is the truth!

You should listen to his debut album "Handwritten" on Spotify. It's one of the best debut albums of the last few years. He is re-releasing it 11/20 with 4 new songs and some live versions of fan favorites. My personal favorites that show his real skills are "Aftertaste" "Imagination" "Never Be Alone". Hell it's hard to pick a few, they are all incredible.

I think Aftertaste would be a perfect fourth single

I would love "Aftertaste" to be a single. It's arguably his most passionate performance on the album. But his re-release will have 4 new songs and one of those most likely will be the single. As good has he has got over the last year, one of these new songs could even be better than "Aftertaste." I'm very excited to hear them.

Thanks to Adele and Bieber's monster debuts, Stiches falls to #6 on the Hot 100 this week.

Are they not gonna push the remix with Hailee Steinfeld?

#1 on Pop! 2 1 SHAWN MENDES Stitches 17909 17219 690 106.546 "lmao what a mess this 'era' has been." "jesus f**k his team needs to make up their mind" jjose712: "Oh, come on, this was the obvious choice. They messed with the release of Life of the party (i still think that song could be at least top 20 if they really push it when the song was released on itunes) and Something good (it was pretty clear the second run was not going to happen, and in fact the song did worse than Life of the party on that second run). So he needed something new, and this time give him a video (Life of the party which is his biggest hit till now not even have one) and promote the poor guy the right way for a change" YAAAAAAAAAAAAAS NUMBER ONE ON POP EDIT: I did some research: If this hangs on to #1 tomorrow (which it probably will), it will have reached the top on its TWENTY-THIRD week in the top 40.

I never though I'd see the light of the day that he got a radio hit, so I'm happy for him that this became such a huge hit.

So happy for Shawn! He and this song deserve this.
His album is now on a blue vinyl record in his website for the re-release next week. First 500 orders get it signed. I got one!

I think this could be a two or three weekers in Pop since Drake is still far~ away, and Drake's luck with Pop had never been stellar, imo. Hold On, We're Going Home is his only solo top 5 hit in Pop until Hotline Bling.

"Act Like You Love Me" will be the next single? This ballad is supposed to be one of the new songs on the Nov 20 album release (same date as Adele though....LOL).
Any idea when that single would be released? Notice the album pre-order is not on iTunes.
