Justin had a lot of help from guest vocalists, but they were male... I know it might seem like I'm grasping at straws here lol but Justin had Nicki, Big Sean, Ludacris, etc.

I know it might seem like I'm grasping at straws here lol but Justin had Nicki, Big Sean, Ludacris, etc. Yeah but they were still his songs. The Calvin Harris example of having others on the tracks made sense because, while they were his songs in every way technically, it can be said that often people associate hits with who does the vocals but in the case of Justin's hits, the guests had a rap verse for the bridge and in most or nearly all cases, those don't mask in any way who the lead artist is.

The third single by FAR did the best and was his "next level" smash, so its followup single would naturally have higher expectations that your typical fourth single. Calvin Harris: "Feel So Close," "Let Go," "Sweet Nothing," "I Need Your Love" Eh, I think that would have an * next to it because on many of those songs, he did not have vocals and a female was featured on it lol. All of Ed Sheeran's songs were solo only and featured no other vocalists because some minor BG vocals from Pharrell on Sing. So what other male artist had 4 hits without the help of a female/guest vocalists? What about Justin Timberlake with FutureSex/LoveSounds? Hot 100: SexyBack - #1 My Love (feat. T.I.) - #1 What Goes Around... Comes Around - #1 Summer Love - #6 LoveStoned - #17 Until the End of Time (with BeyoncΓ©) - #17 Pop radio: SexyBack - #1 My Love (feat. T.I.) - #1 What Goes Around... Comes Around - #1 Summer Love - #1 LoveStoned - #4 Until the End of Time (with BeyoncΓ©) - #26 It might be debatable because I've seen Timbaland credited on "SexyBack", but since Billboard doesn't credit him, I thought it was ok. I feel like there are more recent examples but this is the one that came to my mind as most recent.

People need to chill. This will still be going after Worth It, Fight Song, Good For You, and Cool For The Summer are done.

Dang, they even gave Calvin credit for being a "featuring." I legit don't remember many of those songs like Justin's "Die In Your Arms," Lil Wayne's "Mirror," and many of Eminem's one-week only promo singles. I'm impressed by the likes of Drake and (as much as they annoy me) Jason Derulo and Flo Rida, and now Ed, who have done it with four bonafide hits.

Die in your arms wasn't an official single , just made it by being a Promo single just like eminems

Assuming everything from 8-51 this week went up a spot due to HBTB, this song is now #15 on the Hot 100 this week!

The Monster and Berzerk were official singles for sure and Rap God and Survival both were considered singles. They got radio play and each had official videos. Far more than a standard 1 week promo single

In its 15th week on the Hot 100, this stays at #15.
Another interesting fact: This song is #15 now, was #15 last week, peaked at #15 so far, and spent 15 weeks on the chart.
Wanna know the best part? Ed Sheeran already accomplished this feat before with Don't, also off of 'x'. It spent its 17th week at #17, which was also its peak at the time, and it was #17 the previous week to that week.

It may be a little early to talk about possible next singles since this is still gaining, but my votes would be "Nina," "Bloodstream," or "Runaway." After having two ballads in a row, he needs a more upbeat tempo for the next single imo.

I don't think there will be a next single - which is unfortunate because the album can have another one, but I feel like Photograph is pretty much running off of its own steam at this point. If there's another hit from the album, it would be the doing of collective radios and/or streaming radio than label promo methinks.
Runaway is my favourite non-single left now I think, though in thinking about it, I don't know if it would be the best single choice since it's about running away from his father. I'd be okay if they ended the album era now. 4 pretty big hits is a nice way to round it out. His next album will be huge.

Yeah aside from collaborations and co-writes for others, I don't expect a new proper single till the next album. It's likely going to be an uptempo too.
What some may have forgotten is that the original plan was to finish promotion with the Wembley concerts. He's just touring further because the album is still flying high, especially in America. He's perfectly set up for the next project. As in if they take the right steps, he could launch a new album Q4 2016 and dominate the Holidays regardless of who else he'll be up against.

I'm quite frankly shocked this slog of a song might make it all the way to #2 here. It's amazing how quickly he went from someone CHR was hesitant to play to CHR darling. I'd reckon about anything he puts out now will go top ten here.
