This is the weekend that ACC Rewind makes its debut on radio. This particular episode is from May 1st, 1993. If you can find it on your dial (one person found it on his NASH Icon station in Muskegon, MI at the ungodly hour of 5 AM Central) then tell us about your memories of May '93 on country radio.
Meanwhile, here were the top ten songs that week.
10. "Tender Moment" - Lee Roy Parnell 9. "My Blue Angel" - Aaron Tippin 8. "Nobody Wins" - Radney Foster 7. "The Heart Won't Lie" - Reba/Vince Gill 6. "Born To Love You" - Mark Collie 5. "Hard Workin' Man" - Brooks & Dunn 4. "Tonight I Climbed The Wall" - Alan Jackson 3. "Hearts Are Gonna Roll" - Hal Ketchum 2. "She Don't Know She's Beautiful" - Sammy Kershaw 1. "Alibis" - Tracy Lawrence (his 2nd)

Never mind about finding this show on your radio dial. The reason is that the whole show is on Bob Kingsley's CT40 web site. Just look for the ACC Rewind on the home page and click on it.

This weekend's ACC rewind is the May 8, 2004 show. Not sure when the show will be streaming at ct40.com I would guess tomorrow when they update the regular show.

I know some of the posters really enjoy the mid-2000s in country music, but so much of it is forgettable to me. Give me the mid to late 90s anyday over most of what 2003-2008 had to offer.

2008 is when it really started to go downhill IMO. Everyone's different though. I'm sure my age has a factor to why I love 2003-2006/2007. At the same time, late 90's country was pretty damn good. :)

I'm absolutely loving the ACC Rewind, especially the lower parts of the chart which feature songs I barely remember. It's as if we're going back in time to summers long ago and drinking around bonfires with stereos blasting :)

The 1997 chart is solid top to bottom. Wow!!
I was hoping George would have pushed One Night At A Time to 6 weeks, but it wasn't meant to be.

For whatever reason, I still remember the upward trajectory of "It's Your Love" in the 40.
Debut at 35 - 15 - 10 - 3 - 1 (for six weeks).

Yeah when Tim and Faith debuted the song on the awards show that May, everyone knew it was immediately the biggest hit of the year. One of those special moments awards show moments ranking right up there with Alan Jackson after 9/11.

I still think "It's Your Love" is overrated. Absolutely. I love "Just To Hear You Say That You Love Me." "It's Your Love" and "I Need You" I didn't like at all, but his other duets with Faith were fine.

WATZ's playing it right now. We've got a 1992 chart, starting with "Two-Timin' Me" by the Remingtons at #30. WKJC actually played that song sometime last year, much to my surprise. I remember hearing it in the Subway in Oscoda not long after it opened.

^ I missed part of it because there were huge storms that knocked out power to WATZ for a while. Picked up somewhere around #24. Zazie, you were right, "Almost Home" by Mary Chapin Carpenter was a good song, and 12-year-old me is stupid for disliking it. I thought it was interesting that "Snap Your Fingers" by Ronnie Milsap was a featured song on both CT40 and ACC Rewind yesterday. Great stuff.
