Can we close this thread? It's been nothing but mellongraig saying which week the ACC Rewind is from for several pages now. There's no actual discussion on the topic, just "This week is from X". If you want me to, I can provide at least a top ten chart after mellongraig announces what week they are featuring. Just adding something extra here.

If people were sharing actual conversation about that week's ACC Rewind, like "wow, I haven't heard this song in forever" or "I don't remember this song", that would be something. But it seems there's no interest in doing that.

Maybe we could put the list of shows aired and up to the current one so far on a separate post in a new thread... that way I think the show list can be added as the series goes along, and I do agree with the suggestion of creating a top 10 list on it or some sort every week as there really aren't that many cue sheets available in the later years. Unfortunately, they haven't aired a 2000-2005 show since last July, and also 1990 since December, limiting it appears to 1991-1999 (I wish they'd expand it to 1986-2005 or May 1978-end of 2005). Besides, it really is hard to find which station affiliates carry the show as there really aren't that many to choose from. I really would like to see more stations carry it and air all 4 hours from #40-#1 rather than the truncated 3, missing #40-#31.
Anyway, to this week's show in hand, it is from June 26, 1993, featuring some songs that you may know (including some summer songs, like That Summer, Chattahoochee, etc., even if overplayed back then), others you may not know, and cool other features.
*since the show is now up on the CT40 website, I think it would be a good idea in the future to hold off what show will be for next week (new or repeat) until either it goes up on the CT40 website or some time has passed to the station affiliates airing the show on the weekend.

Here's the top 10 list:

Hopefully soon it should be up once the issues on the website have been resolved.
*Edit: They have just recently fixed the issue, and is now available for listening pleasure on their website :)

Why does Bob Kingsley not use the BB chart anymore? He could at least use the BB Airplay chart.

Why does Bob Kingsley not use the BB chart anymore? He could at least use the BB Airplay chart. I'd be willing to say that it came down to cost-efficient reasoning... BB is quite expensive as far as using that chart on countdown shows now, so he has used Mediabase 24/7 (formerly Radio & Records) since 2006 or when CT40 began prior to ACC using it in August 2009.

I listened to his countdown this week, and his voice has REALLY aged. I still like his voice and countdown better than the rest, but it's miles away from the ACC Rewind shows from the 90's.

That August 1991 show was a blast to listen to. I felt like I hadn't heard ANY of these songs in 26 years, yet most of them were still totally familiar to me.

Just what took them so long on bringing back the 2000-2005 shows? I'm glad they brought them back and hopefully they will stick on a permanent basis. If they had stuck with it last year, 2000 would have been due. We'll see if they will alternate back and forth on the 90s and 2000s like they used to do when they began the series.

August 16, 1997's show is now up on the website for enjoyment this week.
On an aside note, ACC is returning to Billboard effective next month, beginning Sept 9-10 and using the Country Airplay chart. I think it really is a long time coming for them to reunite after an 8 year absence.

One of the reasons why I think they should have never moved to Mediabase 24/7 in the first place.
Anyway, August 28, 1999's show is now on the website for all of you to enjoy (well, except the missing third hour which hopefully they'll work on it). Wished they'd add the missing first hour...

It's really strange that they don't provide the first hour. It's not like it's any extra effort besides uploading a file, adding a url, and changing the page weekly with the other ones. I know many stations only carried the Top 30, so maybe that's the thinking behind it? But yes, I would LOVE to hear the first ten songs every week.

The airchecks on YouTube are at least providing the full complete show (although songs are trimmed for copyright reasons), so maybe it will get something going to the PDs who control the show to allow the missing first hour to be available again.

Also of note this week, the #1 song (Amazed) broke the 33 year record with its 7th consecutive week at #1. Next week is Week #8 of course, but I think that show ran last year.
