Yeah, I think their criteria by then was probably at least two years ago to include the song when it was changed to #1's from the 80s and 90s alphabetically in late 1994. This lasted until January 1996 and then they went to the mailbag for listener requests.
Anyway, this week's show is a regular show from December 21, 1996, though it is unclear if they will post the show today on the website or wait until after Christmas to do so. They mention the year end countdown for next week (which we heard the last 3 hours of it last year). We'll probably get another one from a different year that hasn't been featured yet.
As usual, here are the 10 that didn't make the cut for this week (all male artists):
31. A Man This Lonely - Brooks & Dunn (#1) 32. Like The Rain - Clint Black (#1, 3 weeks) 33. Where Corn Don't Grow - Travis Tritt (#6) 34. Me Too - Toby Keith (#1) 35. She Wants To Be Wanted Again - Ty Herndon (#21) 36. High Low And In Between - Mark Wills (#33) 37. Another You, Another Me - Brady Seals (#32) 38. All I Do Is Love Her - James Bonamy (#27) 39. You Can't Stop Love - Marty Stuart (#26) 40. Politics, Religion And Her - Sammy Kershaw (#28)
Unlike the shows where the ACC Calendar would use the updated jingle by this time, this one here uses the 1986 jingle with a Christmas sting. The previous show (12/18/93) did use the updated jingle (1993 version at the time).

Usually around this time, a special year-end countdown is presented, and the rewind show has decided to go with the 1995 year ender this year (just the last 3 hours of it), that aired on December 30, 1995 though stations could air it on or around that date. I do miss hearing the long 7 hour year-end countdowns - these days are long gone now. Not up on the CT40 website yet but should soon once they fix some issues. Here's the cue sheet that has the full list of the 100 songs of the year and why they use their own methodology instead of Billboard's strict 12-month cutoff date: charismusicgroup.com/ACC%20Cue%20Sheets/12-30-95.pdf

I have been told that unfortunately the audio for the ACC Rewind shows won't be availale for a few weeks. Here is what they said on their FB page:
"The CT40 website will be moving to a new platform tomorrow (1/2/18). In preparation for the move most links at the current site have been disabled. The 2017 Year-End Chart will be posted on the new site tomorrow. Once the change takes place, new streaming players will have to be built for the CT40 and ACC Rewind Replays, so audio for the shows will not be available for a few weeks. We apologize for the interruption."
Once they do get built, I hope they will have links for each of the shows up to date since the move (Year End 1995 and future shows after that).

That is a fantastic chart. Solid songs up and down...honestly probably only around 10 I would say I didn't know or disliked out of 60. I wonder why Billboard doesn't list all 75 that were available at that time?

Streaming is still offline but they just reran the show this weekend from January 6, 2001 to the affiliates (also the last one with the old 75 song format). Because this was still the period of holiday season as they post theirs about 7-10 days in advance, it remains unclear if the show played all the holiday songs. They did so with song #26, but unless if we have an aircheck of all the hours to confirm this, we probably won't know. Here is what the chart looked like since they did not publish an issue on January 6, 2001: www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/2001-01-06

January 6, 1996 is this week's rewind show, not sure why they didn't go with January 13 as it was closer to the chart date. It may not have been remastered in time. Speaking of which, they didn't play song #18 as it was a Christmas song on the rewind show, and probably song #33 as well. It may have been edited out of the broadcast to the affiliates. This was also one of the last times the ACC Archive feature was used. With regards to last week's rewind show from 1/6/01, I can confirm now that the remaining 3 holiday songs were not played and they played songs bubbling under the 40 in their place as a sneak peek (like AT40 used to do in the later years). Here's the full chart list (well most of it anyway) for that week: www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/1996-01-06

Looks like the online streaming may be back by next week's ACC Rewind show (may be lucky if it is there by the end of this week), but anyway, January 11, 1992 was this week's show. I'm thinking what is happening now is that because Billboard changed their rule to allow the release date be closer to the chart week ending date, the shows are about a week off compared to the chart date today. Whether if that is permanent, I'm not sure yet. At least the shows are new... Here is most of the full chart anyway including the #31-40 songs that were in the missing first hour: www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/1992-01-11

This was also one of the last times the ACC Archive feature was used. I have been told that they indeed skipped #33 that week. Since Joe Diffie's "Leroy the Redneck Reindeer" was the #33 song, they did a special on him instead. Did they do that on any other chart week? Did they skip over the likes of "Here's Your Sign Christmas" every time it recharted? I know that Bob did NOT skip over Joe Nichols' rendition of "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" the week it hit Top 40 since it's more of a winter song than a true Christmas song, so I would imagine that he didn't skip over the Ricochet version either.

Well next week was usually the end of the holiday period to return to normal music, so I am not really sure if that was the case of skipping holiday music on any other chart week, although 1/9/99, 1/3/98, and 1/4/97 were aired on the rewind show before, so maybe we can find out for sure.

January 23, 1999 was this weekend's rewind show as they are starting to get back in sync with the chart date. Still no online streaming yet even though they said it would be up by now or within a few days... hopefully it will be up soon. Here is the chart for that week: www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/1999-01-23

Streaming is back up for the ACC Rewind, but is an inferior version. Now it’s just in a streamed loop filled with commercials and no way to listen to individual songs. It’s definitely better than nothing.

I occasionally listen to ACC Rewind, but mostly CT40 replay, but neither one is producing any audio. Or am I the only one?

It's not working for me either as well - I wonder if it may be geo blocked outside the US? I hope that isn't the case... maybe they are waiting until Monday to get it fully working like they did on the old website for customary posting. Maybe a little too soon to hear 2001 again, but that's what they did this weekend as January 27, 2001 is featured (just after the songs cut from 75 to 60). www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/2001-01-27

Wow, that’s weird. Both the ct40 and accrewind work on my mobile device. It doesn’t go to a new page, just a banner on the botttom of the page with a play and stop button (its black). The new chart is simply streamed on a loop as well with commercials where they would normally be if listening to it live.

And the comments on their FB page so far aren't showing any love either with the new format and want it reverted back to the way it was (each hour, individual songs, no commercials, etc).

I'm still trying and nothing is showing. It just briefly shows its playing and there's no audio and then it just pauses on its own. So frustrating. Or am I still the only one not getting anything.

I'm still having the same issue for me as well - tried it through multiple browsers and still nothing. I guess we may have to listen to ACC airchecks on Youtube (at least they have all the hours including the missing first hour (and some 3 hours prior to 1986), except they cut down the songs for copyright reasons)...

There is a recent update they just posted on FB about the streams and not good news for those outside the US:
"We realize some of you are having issues with the new streams not working. We have tested both show streams on new computers with current operating systems and old computers with older operating systems using MS Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox browsers. We also ran checks using iPads and iPhones with Safari. Everything appears to be working. We have been informed by the IT people from the company that now operates our website and streams, that the new streams will not work outside the U.S. If you are in the U.S. and still experiencing issues, they suggested checking your ad blocker settings as they can sometimes interfere with the streaming players."
So I guess I am out of it until things change in the future.

Aw man that stinks. I don't get it. I figured the whole "If it's not broke than don't fix it" mentality is a good one CT40 would follow. Instead they fix it amd most people end up pissed off, myself included.

We heard that a little more than a month ago when it was featured on the rewind show. This week, inspite of it being February, they are rewinding back to January 31, 1998.
Still don't like the new stream, and although it is there, the comments on FB aren't loving the new stream and/or the website. I wish they would give us a compatibility to use the old website again and have replays without commercials...

Now I hear that some segments seem to be missing on the CT40 stream for no reason probably due to long commercials. Anyway, this week they are rewinding to February 12, 2000, which still has the 1995/1998 themes in use and the ACC Calendar jingle was still the 1995 version. By April 22, 2000 the newer ones were in use. I do wish they wouldn't cut off the end of the hour themes on some shows like this one this week... personally I'd leave them intact like Premiere does for the 70s/80s AT40 shows (although stations can cut them early). Here is the chart for that week: www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/2000-02-12

CT40's website has now been updated to the latest ACC Rewind show, which was from February 18, 1995. This also was the last show to include the 1993 music package (including the new 1994 bumper jingles), which did have some holdovers of the 1989 package, and some number jingles from 1986 were still in use along with the 1989 number jingles. I think next week debuted the new music package, new ACC Calendar jingle, and new number jingles (the number jingles would have 3 variants and would stay that way through the end of the Kingsley era). Here is a full chart (well most of it anyway including the missing first hour for songs 31-40, and notice how fast the turnover was compared to last week's ACC Rewind show where it slowed down): www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/1995-02-18

Looks like WLAW (92.5 Nash Icon) has dropped the show now...
However, the CT40 website has now updated the rewind show to February 23, 1991, yet they still haven't sync'd the chart date and are still a week behind which I wish they would fix. Here is the top 10 for that week:
10. Loving Blind - Clint Black 9. Little Things - Marty Stuart 8. I Couldn't See You Leavin' - Conway Twitty 7. These Lips Don't Know How To Say Goodbye - Doug Stone 6. You've Got To Stand For Something - Aaron Tippin 5. Love Can Build A Bridge - The Judds 4. Daddy's Come Around - Paul Overstreet 3. If You Want Me To - Joe Diffie 2. Brother Jukebox - Mark Chesnutt 1. Walk On Faith - Mike Reid

1994 now gets a turn again as this week's show is from March 5, 1994 (still would have gone with the March 12, 1994 date as it was closer, new show though). We'll see if come May if there will be repeat shows from 2015 (not too much though)... Here is the chart list for that particular week (this does not include the ACC Archives which were still #1 A-Z from 1966-1990) and was still on a pretty fast turnover rate at the time: www.billboard.com/charts/country-airplay/1994-03-05
