yeah looking really good, if this sustains for even just 1-2 weeks more it'll be her biggest hit since "Love all over me"

Top 30 on rhythmic too..So I wouldnt go that far just yet..Now I would say this is about where UIG peaked at Urban..

I'm glad Urban hasn't left this for dead. She's definitely had an uphill battle with the current state of Urban radio, but I'd say this is already a success given it's a fairly traditional female R&B song and especially considering she's over 20 years into her career.

Wonder if it'll ever debut on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Monica's last single charted w/ the old methodology. Obviously, this time around would be much harder for her to score another hit on said chart.

It's nice to see this getting some success. I still don't like it, but I'm glad Mo is recovering well from that New Life era mess.

New Life into Code Red adds evidence to my theory that Mo alternates crap and quality with each album.

New Life into Code Red adds evidence to my theory that Mo alternates crap and quality with each album. almost! just the beginning of her career didn't have that pattern IMO (Miss Thang & The Boy Is Mine are both good), but then it did settle into alternating like that... MT - good TBIM - good AEOM - bad ATS - good MOM - bad SS - good NL - bad CR - good (it seems like it will be for sure)

You better quit playing!

well I do like that album, but commercially it was awful, and ETBD was her worst single ever.

ETBD was one of Monica's best performing [and one of her more remembered] releases of the past decade. That preachy snoozefest of a last album she released featured some of the worst material of her career.

That preachy snoozefest of a last album she released featured some of the worst material of her career. that's meaningless-- the only other releases to compare it to "in the last decade" as you say are the other releases from MOM, which did awful, the releases from what you just called a "preachy snoozefest", which didn't do well, and the releases from SS. Everything to Me and Love all over Me both blow ETBD way out of the water, in terms of EVERY measure. So your argument is complete wrong.

We both are sharing opinions; neither of us are WRONG, boo. You said The Makings Of Me was BAD and equated the commercial success with the quality of the album. I used that same thought process to illustrate that ETBD wasn't that bad given that it was one of her better performing releases of the last decade (2000-2009). Anyhoo, I just take the "Beat Drop" shade to heart, because people are always acting as if that song ruined Monica's career or something. It was a hit, and helped get her the first #1 R&B album of her career, and is still one of the better performing releases from her in the past 15 years. "Everytime Tha Beat Drop," "Sideline Ho," "Hell No," "Raw," and "Gotta Move On" are all fan favorites/signature songs of her career that came from that project... And overall, Still Standing didn't SELL that much more than TMOM, and Snooze Life didn't come close.

Hopefully this isn't done quite yet... 4 UAC adds, 1 more Urban add, and an increase in spins over yesterday on Urban (but still unbulleted).

By the time a video comes out it won't make any kind of impact on the record

Now this gurl said on an radio interview is that she wanted to do legit promo(Talk shows, Late Night shows). Either her or RCA jump on the ball.

part of it is that most songs lost their bullet over labor day weekend... hopefully this does keep recovering!
