Artist: Lucy Angel Single: "Crazy Too" Writers: Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally, Karyn Rochelle Label: G Force Entertainment/New Revolution Add Date: May 26th, 2015 Source: Music RowMusic Row has this going for adds on May 18th, with New Revolution handling promotion. Lucy Angel is a family trio consisting of mother Kate Anderton and her daughters Lindsay and Emily. Veteran posters of Pulse might remember them first from their early 2007 single "How Long." They had two other singles in 2011 and digitally released their self-titled album earlier this year. Sirius/XM's The Highway was the first to spin this late last year as a "Highway Find."

This sounds great!! It's so refreshing! It sounds like something that would have been released many years ago. We need more songs like this in country music.
I don't remember "How Long" and couldn't find a place to listen to it, but I was able to check out their song "Serious" and that's great too. I definitely want to check more of their music out.

This song is great. I love this. Nice harmonies, clever lyricism, enjoyable melody and production. Would love for a new girl group to become a thing at country radio. Still waiting for that to happen -- I miss the Chicks and SHeDAISY. :(

This is so good! They are very pretty too, I'm shocked no big label has taken a shot with them.

This was sent to radio this morning with an add date of May 26th, which is a Tuesday. Music Row has it on the 18th, which is a Monday. Perhaps the 18th is when secondary radio plans to add it. In any event it's not a big deal - I still don't expect this to do more than crack the top 60.

Right - the 25th is Memorial Day, so any songs going for adds that week will be listed with adds dates for the 26th.

I remember WATZ playing "How Long" a lot. Fun song. These gals are slow workers though...

Big add in Aircheck tonight for this song. I think New Revolution will have their work cut out for them in terms of achieving great success but I think this will end up charting. Meet Lucy Angel

Hey, 20 first week adds for "Crazy Too" this week. I don't expect this to be a hit but I definitely think this one will chart.

I just heard this on the radio! I saw that WSOC had added it but didn't expect to hear it unless it hit top 20. I tweeted them to thank them. I'd love to see this make some noise on the charts!

Sorry for bringing this thread back up but. It looks like Lucy Angel looks to possibly enter next week on BB. With 3 set recurrents (Tim, Casey, and Aaron. Maybe Easton or if Steven Tyler gives out.) Anyway we should have 3-5 entries. These girls have been slowly building and should get in along with Clare Dunn and Tyler Farr possibly Alan Jackson maybe Kid Rock or Logan re-enter. Anyway Lucy Angel should get in soon.

Anyway Lucy Angel should get in soon. Aaron Watson can't go "recurrent". He might drop out of the top 60 (KKBQ in Houston, his biggest supporter, has significantly decreased his airplay in the last week), but last week was his 1st week without a bullet, so he can't go recurrent. Otherwise I agree--Lucy Angel might be able to debut soon, possibly on Monday. Given that it's Thursday, it's probably still a bit too early to say that they'll definitely be in, but the possibility is there. It helps that perhaps only 600-700k will be required to crack the top 60. No longer does it take 1.1 to 1.2 million just to chart, like it did for the last couple of months. Steven Tyler is eligible to go recurrent, but I'm guessing he'll re-bullet and hang around in the 50's for a little while yet. Tim will leave, Casey James should leave...Easton might lose enough to go recurrent, but again, it's too soon to call. I wouldn't rule out Mo Pitney re-entering, though. He had a bad update today, but he's only down about 150k since Monday, and I'm sure Curb will fight hard to get more airplay for "Country". Maybe Mo never re-enters, but I think he will at some point. Clare Dunn and Tyler Farr are probably the 2 front-runners (to debut on Monday), but Lucy Angel isn't far behind them.

I'm not convinced Mo will be back. I feel like the bad update today will start him slowly going down til Curb is done. Wait I thought Aaron was on his second bulletless week. Maybe I'm going crazy. I do have doubts on Easton leaving while he is falling I am just thinking he will sneak in one last week. I do think Lucy Angel could sneak ahead of Steven possibly. A lot has to happen but I am looking forward to it.

I don't think they are done at all...this has just been a touch week for "Country". If it doesn't re-enter on Monday, then I'll be it'll re-enter in the next week or two, so long as Curb sticks with it (and again, I expect that they will). No, Aaron Watson had a bullet on the chart from Monday the 29th. This week was his first without a bullet. He might fall out of the top 60, but it won't be him going recurrent; he'd be eligible for a re-entry if the Texas stations (and/or any other stations) start increasing his airplay again.

Hey, "Crazy Too" did in fact debut at #59 on Billboard Airplay this week. I knew it would be pretty close but it looked like a decent shot this weekend like raylatch98 said. This is Lucy Angel's first charting single.

Whaaaaaaaaat? Yes, yes, yes! I know it doesn't mean much, but somehow seeing this chart makes me super happy. I love this song so much. I miss the presence of girl groups and the beautiful harmonies that come with them. Maddie & Tae becoming successful is a step in the right direction (their harmonies on "Fly" are beautiful).

I'm sure some already know this but I never updated the first post. The writers of "Crazy Too" are Brandy Clark, Shane McAnally and Karyn Rochelle. It's no coincidence many enjoy this song.

They definitely have a good taste.

Every time I hear the line "I know why she hates you 'cause right now I'm on the verge," I kind of think 'damn, if only this had been picked for On the Verge, it would've been perfect!'

I think New Revolution is doing a great job at promoting this one to mainstream radio. It helps to have the money to partner with their promotion team because they're pretty darn good at it, especially considering this single being a throwback from about 10 years ago sonically. The majority of the leaders for "Crazy Too" have seen an increase in spins and they should easily stay on the Billboard Airplay chart this week.
Again, I fully expected this one to chart around the impact date, and now I'm hoping they can find a way to get into the MB top 50, which would be great. It's still not going to be easy or even likely since "Crazy Too" is only only 47 monitored stations at the moment and that would mean they would need to at least double their audience and spin totals.

My Dad tonight before dinner: "I heard a new song on WYRK this evening. It was a girl group and the song actually sounded country and was really good."
Myself: "That was probably "Crazy Too" by Lucy Angel.
My Dad: "Yeah, that's it. I wish there were more songs that sound like that on the radio."
Myself: "Me too".

Omg I heard this on the radio today for the first time ever!!! Ah, I could NOT have been more excited to hear the opening chords to this! I was like "Shut up, no way, they're playing this?!" (And it wasn't in the middle of the night or anything either, it was at about 1pm, haha.) I really hope this can become a surprise hit like "Look at You." It sounded so, so good on the radio. I could really see people liking it a lot, personally. <3

"Crazy Too" landed at #53 on MB this week, just 148 total points away from the #50 position. Unfortunately for Lucy Angel, they got zero adds this week but I'm hoping New Revolution can find a way to sneak a Top 50 finish on MB for this song.
