"How Deep Is Your Love" Written by Ina Wroldsen, Gavin Koolman, Luke McDermott, Nathan Duvall and Calvin Harris Produced by Calvin Harris and Disciples "How Deep Is Your Love" is the new single from Calvin Harris and Disciples, which features uncredited vocals from Ina Wroldsen and it was released WW on July 17.
{Original Post}Calvin Harris was interviewed by JoJo Wright and Jesse Lozano at the backstage of the 102.7 KIIS-FM Wango Tango yesterday and he mentioned (around the 3:38 min. mark) that there will be a new song from him coming out around July, which it's a little bit different of what he has been doing and he's (sadly) not singing on it.

Darn it. I was hoping for another summer jam with Calvin's vocals on it. :(

:( I have been following Calvin's career since "The Girls" came out back in 2007, so I usually prefer when he sings his own tracks instead of other people, despite his vocals aren't the best. I mean, there's something about his accent that I really enjoy to be honest. Also, I guess this is the reason why I prefer I Created Disco and Ready for the Weekend over 18 Months and Motion.

Sad to hear, Summer was an excellent summer song last year, and Calvin's vocals made it even better.

To be honest, "Faith" is one of my favourite tracks from the last album. And I like "Summer", but I was pretty disappointed when I watched his iTunes Festival show and he didn't even try to "sing" live. And I need to listen to his past works as soon as possible.

Didn't he just release an album? Probably a collab for another artist's record, hopefully not with Taylor.

To be honest, "Faith" is one of my favourite tracks from the last album. And I like "Summer", but I was pretty disappointed when I watched his iTunes Festival show and he didn't even try to "sing" live. And I need to listen to his past works as soon as possible. That's good to know that! Regarding his live performances, they aren't too good to be honest, but they are acceptable for me. Also, this is the reason why he quit doing them in favour of DJ sets since 2010 because he felt that way too. As a side note, I guess I'm a little bitter because he's not going to do them anymore. Sigh! Didn't he just release an album? That's true. Motion came out in November of last year, but the 'era' began in September of 2013 with the release of "Under Control", which it's included on it as well. Also, at this point, I don't think that any more songs from the album will be released as singles to be honest, even overseas, if it's considered that "Pray to God" is already done and he may have moved with another one. Probably a collab for another artist's record, hopefully not with Taylor. I don't think so. When he was asked about someone new, he said it was from him. Obviously, there's little information right now about this, so it's still unknown if it's going to be sent to radio or it will be released on Beatport instead.

The track is available for pre-order with a WW release date (minus the US and Canada so far) on June 29, while the UK and Ireland release date will be on August 7. That said, if there's a WW premiere of the song, I guess it will be later this month.

The track was uploaded in a German website last weekend, but it was reported before it spread out. That said, I didn't listen to it, but the description of the song in the post that it's now removed mentioned that it's a future house (!!!) track, which it's something Calvin has never done before. Excited! <3
As a side note, it has been reported that the music video will be shot next week, between June 23 and June 25, in LA and Emil Nava will be the director.

The release date has been pushed back WW to August 7, aside the US so far, where it's still not available for pre-order on iTunes or Amazon there. That said, I really don't know what kind of strategy Calvin is planning to do now. I mean, it reminds me of "Blame" when its digital release coincided with his headlining on the iTunes Festival in London back in September, so he and John Newman performed the track live there, while it was premiered three days before. However, Calvin already played "How Deep Is Your Love" for the first time in his EDC Las Vegas DJ set this weekend, so a rip of it is 'literally' everywhere Anyway, I listened to the rip and, despite I mentioned that it's a future house track, I don't think it totally is. I mean, the verses give me a sort of vibes of this with its laidback and chill sound, but the drop definitely isn't. That said, the latter isn't bad and it's really euphoric, like "Blame", so I'm looking forward to the studio version now, as I wasn't earlier

It's the first time I've seen this term

WAIT, so this is a lead single? There's still no information about this, so it could be either: a. A single from the re-release of Motion. b. A standalone release. c. The lead single from his new album. I personally don't see a) happening to be honest because he hasn't re-released any of his albums yet and he could have done it with 18 Months. If it's taken into the consideration the time between the release of the lead singles from his recent albums with the launch of them, c) is a possibility, but I would go with b) at this point. Mikey: Interesting that you mentioned Tchami and you didn't include any song from him. Anyway, I guess you should know that embeding a lot of YouTube videos, even if they are on spoiler, tend to slow the page, right? If you could post a link to them, it should be better :)

^ 1. Those are the ones that come off my head. 2. Despite him being the inventor of the sub genre, i find his materials to be ultimately forgettable and that's why i didn't include him 3. Coming to edit them in a moment! :)

I feel like this might be a similar release to how "Under Control" was. It was a standalone single, but was still included on the next album.

This... is not future house at all Well, maybe the beat is futuristic, as of the drum pattern in the build up. That being said, the track is good and the drop is unique, but i was expecting a sick, heavy future house :( Still need to listen the HQ later though.

I'm surprised the EDC Las Vegas rip of "How Deep Is Your Love" hasn't been taken down though~
As a side note, the UK/IE release date has been brought forward to July 17, so I assume this will be the new WW release date, despite the August 7 date still appears in the other iTunes stores. Also, the artwork has slightly been changed on Disciples' font. Anyway, as I previously mentioned, the video shoot was this week and Gigi Hadid will appear on it, being Malibu one of the locations. There's still no info if Calvin Harris, Disciples and/or Ina Wroldsen will appear on it though.

Columbia's newsletter isn't naming this as the track, but it says a Calvin track is out July 24 and impacts August 10, so it's safe to assume this is it.
