While Im not a fan of the song I wonder why Cheerleader isnt taking off more. Dunno where its gonna peak but the fact its top 40/30 on iTunes w/ minimal airplay def. means its a big hit coming. Dunno if its the record co. waiting til it gets closer to summer and/or for SYA to *slow down and be more vulnerable. As of now, SYA ain't even close to 'vulnerable' lol. Its got 5 weeks at #1 w/ 6 a shoe-in and it's def. getting BL and Happy like radio updates. To think out of its total points, the airplay points are still minimal (only around 15-20% I believe). Dunno how many total weeks its gonna get but the fact it peaked so quickly w. sales may or not prevent it from getting 10+ weeks at #1. Its sales are still solid and declines minimal but *radio def. is gonna be its firewall if it starts to see sharper sales declines. Another disadvantage is it def. isn't a fun, festive summer song. I'm thinking people and radio are gonna move on something upbeat/summer friendly (Cheerleader probably) :# or if Maroon 5s wannabe summer smash ends up being just that. Dunno if it even makes 'that' much of a difference but if it was fall/winter, I think it would be better time of the year for SYA. Regardless, theres really *nothing that's a major threat for now (possibly Maroon 5s new song zzz and some still say Taylor).

Well considering the song is going to be premiered on the voice finale will definetly help it out alot. The last time they premiered a somng on the voice it debuted with 400k, sales so who knows whatlll happen

What do those rankings mean? Are they just accounting for their radio play?

Regardless, theres really *nothing that's a major threat for now (possibly Maroon 5s new song zzz and some still say Taylor). SYA's sales decline, although not as significant as we expect, aren't exactly "minimal" lol. It's been shedding 50k per week on average these past 4 weeks. Streaming, on the other hand, IS seeing very minimal losses - even some gains (God only knows how this is possible -___-). It is also, as you said, getting inexplicably large airplay gains which may or may not slow down soon. And it is seeming more and more likely that SUAD will not make #1 but I still am maintaining a little hope that it might somehow squeeze in a week at #1. Otherwise I hope it at least peaks only at #3 then I won't feel so bad. Or at the very least for a song other than SYA to be #1 when SUAD is #2. I will flip the fuck out if SYA is the one that ends up blocking SUAD. Heartbeat mentioned in the other thread that Hey Mama is being performed at the BBMA's and that the video is dropping soon. Given that this is David's first major U.S. hit in the streaming era, this could be a good chance for him to get his first #1! Of course Nicki might have to misbehave at least a little bit in the video to aid the streaming, similarly to Anaconda (except that I actually like the song this time LOL but that's not relevant). There's also Taylor's song as everyone is aware I'm sure lol. Although for all we know it could follow the same path as Pretty Girls. I guess only time will tell

There's also Taylor's song as everyone is aware I'm sure lol. Although for all we know it could follow the same path as Pretty Girls. I guess only time will tell SYA has had minimal recent losses. I would call 12% minimal. The last two weeks have seen 10-12% declines. You are correct that if it opens at 464K it will fall quite bit, so 50K/week works out when you factor in that it dropped from 464K to 375K in one week. When the song is that big, no where to go but down - LOL Streaming has held pretty constant for 5 weeks. Airplay as you know is gaining in big numbers. The 50K/week declines will probably be smaller than that since airplay is still growing and streaming is holding steady. In other words sales may not be declining as fast as YOU expect but the minimal decline I think is expected given that the other metrics are either flat or growing

The Hot 100 is quickly turning into the Adult Contemporary chart from the 90s and 00s. Hell, it could still be the same today. Pretty soon we're going to think a 5-7 week chart topper indicates quick turnover at the top of the chart.

(Well aside from BEP domination in 2009)

About See You Again's airplay, it will get a good airplay peak, but I don't think it'll be as high as Blurred Lines or Happy. Those songs went #1 on HAC, urban and UAC, which I can't see See You Again doing. I can't see a song with rapping going #1 on HAC, and I can't see this song going #1 on urban either. Love The Way You Lie was huge too and only got #7 on urban iirc. Debuts this week on the chart- Taylor Swift Bad Blood Remix Various Pitch Perfect 2 soundtrack songs. These are the major ones. M5's single got moved from 5/15 to 5/19. Surely the remix will get combined with the original like All Of Me (Tiesto), E.T. (Kanye West), Summertimes Sadness (Cedric Gervais), Give It 2 U (2 Chainz), Jealous (Tinashe), Stay With Me (Mary J Blige), Don't (Rick Ross), You Know You Like It (DJ Snake) and so on? Another song I think might debut is Fun by Pitbull & Chris Brown. It's a lot better than his previous single imo.

Woah, was there a radio recalibration? I don't think I've this seen many drops of 5 million, much less 7 million. Also, Uptown Funk is back above Sugar and falls less than half of the Fifty Shades songs; if that isn't longevity I don't know what is.

Ugh, the chart is real boring right now. well we've got bad blood, TSGH by maroon 5, pretty girls and Cheerleader if Shazam is right.

Why are there always two updates now? One oldskool Mediabase and one Kworb? Overkill?

There's enough other discussion, might as well include all the numbers we got. One caveat to this: These are starting to look like duplicate postings. Quite honestly, do we need multiple audience postings per day? With regards to today, yes this is definitely an audience recalibration.

Mediabase updates every day, but those numbers are otherwise private unless someone with an account/access shares the numbers, which is why we get those numbers sometimes. Kworb, I think, uses the all-stations output from AllAccess to compile his chart, and the difference would come from a variation in stations counted.

I think the Kworb ones started getting posted on days when the Mediabase ones weren't available, but have continued to get posted every day now. I don't mind either way personally, having them both isn't a massive inconvenience, but the Kworb one should at the very least be posted when we can't get the Mediabase one (but when we can get the Mediabase chart there's not much point as it's less accurate and we can just look and Kworb's website anyway if we needed).

Maybe whoever posts can just say at the top what the source is to avoid confusion. Frankly we should always be referencing a source for data/articles anyway.
