Weird, just gave Onyx a first listen a few days ago after only hearing the 4 singles.
These guys are kind of hit and miss with me, and I feel as if I maybe enjoy them more than I should, but either way I'm curious to hear this one.

The only song from Onyx that I liked was "Torn To Pieces". Before that, only "Bosses Daughter(feat. Mick Mars)" and "100 in a 55" have managed to interest me enough to chart them. Let's see what they have in store with "Footsteps"?

I think trebor will like this. I'll give it a listen once it's out. If it's in the same tenor as "Onyx", I'll probably love it. :)

A few of their songs are gems for me, but overall they're pretty generic in my mind. I have their albums in my iPod, but they aren't the type of band that I'd be completely stoked to see in concert.

They're extremely hit or miss for me, definitely not in the same class as Seether and Shinedown for me as far as the biggest post grunge bands in the business at the moment go.

This leans a bit to the side of hard Rock that I like, but only the guitars in the intro. The drums use some effect that sounds kinda programmed and poppy. Think that Imagine Dragons; song, "Radioactive". I usually like oohs oohs, but here they are also kinda pushing the song into pop territory, but not in a good way. Finally; his vocals seemed a bit downpitched. IDK; it all kinda seems created on a system instead of instrumants. For me; I still prefer "Boss's Daughter" as their best to date.

This could either propel them to further success, or start a popularity decline ala Adelitas Way. But I predict more of the former.

Pretty good on first listen. Catchy too. I decided to listen to the singles off Onyx and I'm now starting to warm up to these guys (although I'm surprised it took me this long; they make pretty much the same kind of music that I like ).

I've given this a few listens and I'm undecided about it. I could see it growing on me, but I think the chorus is missing an edge to it. I'd rate all 4 singles from Onyx above this for now but that might change.

I'm liking this more and more. To me is sounds like a combination of pre-Here and Now Nickelback and a great Shinedown chorus.
Rock and Rool at its finest.

Rock and Rool is sorta like a make fun of statement/ put down? If it is ; then yeah, this is "Rock and Rool" not "Rock N' Rule" OK, I'm going to be the one to ask this: What the heck is "rock and rool"? Because it seems like it's being used as something derogatory. It's not derogatory. There is good AND bad rock and rool. Pipa and I started listening to early material from some of the most generic nu-metal, post grunge, and 80s hair metal wannabe bands around. That's what rock and rool is, and it's really hit or miss. Good rock and rool: Puddle of Mudd's 'Stuck EP', Hoobastank's 'They Sure Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To' Bad rock and rool: Hinder's "Far From Close", Saliva's self-titled debut Absolutely godawful, atrocious rock and rool: Papa Roach's "Old Friends From Young Years". (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE, DO NOT, I REPEAT...DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS)

I gotta say, this is pretty weak for a lead single and weaker than all of the singles from Onyx. That's off of one listen, at least.
