The title sounds stupid to me lol Then again I'm not a sports fan, so feel free to ignore me. The clip sounds decent, but I'm not sold on it yet. Will have to hear it in full a few times first. I wouldn't say I like the majority of Billy's singles though, he's kind of a mixed bag for me. Some I like really well, others not so much. "Why Why Why" remains a favorite.

Why can't everyone go back to making songs like this? I'm excited to hear it on the radio. Think Billy can get 3 singles out of this record? Unless this absolutely smashes (that is, if radio is looking for some real country to play...aka unlikely) then I'm betting it takes 30ish weeks to peak, which would put it at the top somewhere in December.

Billy is one of the more underrated artists in this genre. I don't think I've disliked one single from him, and that trend doesn't look like it will change here based off the clip. His "We Are Tonight" album was brilliant from top to bottom. Hope this record is as well. Totally agree. Last year he was playing the fair here and I got tickets on a whim way in advance like I usually do every year for the fair shows. The day came and I almost didn't go because he wasn't a "must see" for me and I didn't think I knew many of his songs outside of the major ones. Boy am I glad I went. I knew way more songs than I thought I did and it was probably the best country concert I went to last year. Totally enjoyable from the beginning to the end with very little theatrics, just a night filled with music.

There are shades of Mike Eli in his voice from the sound of that clip.

Billy Currington could get three singles off Summer Forever if this one takes off faster than Don't It did. He's in the second decade of being a recording artist and it takes him forever to get his singles to peak.

I've already got te melody stuck in my head. I wish his material didn't take so long to peak. I know some have said he's an older artist but that's not it he has never been a fast riser on the charts for some reason and yet releases quality material all the time. I mean some of my favorite tracks are good directions people are crazy pretty good at drinkingI beer and walk a little straighter he just never seems to have the momentum to move up the charts quickly he's always been a B list artist and that's not gonna change Unfortnatley so great album track like walk on and all day long never get the chance to see real success that they may have otherwise.

^ Oh come on how many more MALE artists will get it. I wish Miranda would debut a song so we could have a female iHeartRadio deal there.

Growing up in a small town, I so relate to this. I love it. Great production, interesting lyrics and Billy is solid. I think this could be a smash summer hit for Billy

Billy getting a deal for the SECOND single off the album? He didn't even get one for Don't It, did he?
Hoping this will speed this song up and get it out to as many ears as possible.

So Broadway (DJ) in Connecticut is an I Heart station and he tweeted that he wanted to play this but it wasn't on his sever yet. I just found that strange.

Summer Forever hasn't been released yet (tomorrow), so we've seen second singles get hourly deals before, but they usually go to superstars like Blake ("Boys Round Here") and Luke ("That's My Kind Of Night"). He didn't get one for "Don't It", but Billy's got some great momentum right now and while I didn't see an iHeart Premiere coming, it doesn't shock me. This will make it debut pretty high, especially compared to what Billy's been accustomed to, but that 8th day hit might be pretty brutal. The comment from Broadway that carriekins mentioned is strange though. I guess we still have to wait and see exactly how this transpires.

This is just great. I really like this a lot. Easily his best single since at least "Love Done Gone," imo. Very catchy, but without having to resort to being incredibly generic like "Hey Girl" or "Don't It." I'm looking forward to hearing this one on the radio.

This is just fantastic. When is it on iTunes?
As a high school coach, the lines about making states and having that pride you feel when doing so, really hit home. I had high expectations for this song based on the title, and I am so glad it lived up to it.

Not really sure where to post this but it needs to be said! I'm listening to his new album that just came out on spotify a few hours ago and I'm amazed...this is album is full of hits some more traditional sounding than others! I'm only halfway through and every song has been great so far, radio needs to get their act together so he can release a lot of singles this era! Dare I say this could be the album that blasts him into the A list stratosphere for an album era?! Very curious to know what everyone else thinks, lemme know! :) Early favorites are 1. Drinkin' Town With A Football Problem(best single in awhile) 2. Wake Me Up(similar to Crash My Party in a good way) 3. It Don't Hurt Like It Used To(great production) 4. Summer Forever(FGL throwaway but an earworm at that)

I like this & went to download it first thing this morning. Ive always thought Billy had one of the better voices in mainstream country but I gotta say his new album was a huge disappointment though. This will be the first Currington album I'll be sitting out. As far as Im concerned this is the one lone country song I heard from the samples & sticks out like a sore thumb. Im starting to think this R&B "Cure" Nashville is using to get over the Bro-Country blues is actually worse than the illness.

"Drinkin' Town With A Football Problem" sounds like it would have been perfect for Brad Paisley. I personally think it would be perfect for Kenny Chesney. I haven't been able to get into Billy's version yet, but I expect it to grow on me.

I guess that I am hearing a vibe of Southern Comfort Zone, Online, and Celebrity in the song. Funny because I was just going to say I hear Welcome To The Future haha.

Guess I'm gonna have to start listening to the samples instead of going off these artists past albums. Seems like each album by these artists that used to make great music just declines more each year.

I'm glad "Good Night" with Jessie James Decker just hit the TOP 100 on iTunes Top Songs. I hope it becomes the next single, is such a good choice I think. I'm really enjoying his album

If they make it to a third single, I'm really hoping "It Don't Hurt Like It Used To."
The rest of the songs (while decent) would be a huge step backwards.

"We love 'em both and don't want to solve 'em. We're a drinkin' town with a football problem" is easily one of my favorite hook lines this year.

How did this get an hourly deal but didn't break the top 50 on MB?
I love this song!
I was listening on Spotify and right after it came "Alcohol" by Brad Paisley...and you wouldn't have even known we're 10 years in the future. Thank the heavens for releasing this wonderful song.
