Wow @ A.S.A.P's sales. It really doesn't matter how the singles stick or not, his fan base is loyal.

Who here can tell me the difference between Hillsong and Hillsong United? OK, so apparently: Hillsong United is a band formed in the Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia; Hillsong (or Hillsong Music Australia) is the label that releases their music, which is distributed by UMG's Capitol Christian Music Group.

Wow @ A.S.A.P's sales. It really doesn't matter how the singles stick or not, his fan base is loyal. Kendrick, J. Cole, Mac Miller, A$AP Rocky, Wale and Big Sean all have loyal bases that will buy regardless. It's AFTER the first few weeks that really matter. J. Cole is still selling consistently even though he released in early December yet his peers who have released later are either pacing with him or have dropped completely off the Top 50 (like Wale).

It's a bit more than I was expecting for A$AP, but around the same. His debut opened stronger, but that one had a prominent single at the time.

www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6576205/asap-rocky-number-1-album-billboard-200A$AP Rocky Heading for His Second No. 1 Album on Billboard 200By Keith Caulfield | May 27, 2015 8:07 PM EDT Rapper A$AP Rocky is heading for his second No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Industry forecasters suggest his new album, At.Long.Last.A$AP, which was released earlier than expected on May 26, could move more than 120,000 equivalent album units in the week ending May 31. The RCA Records release was originally slated to bow on June 1. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new Billboard 200’s top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, June 3. A$AP Rocky previously topped the chart with his debut studio effort, Long.Live.A$AP, which bowed atop the list in 2013. Other albums heading for sizable debuts on the Billboard 200 include Hillsong United’s Empires and Boosie Badazz’s Touch Down 2 Cause Hell. Both could move around 50,000 units.

YOUR TOP 15: ROCKY STREAMS AHEADA$AP Rocky Looking at Big Bow With SPS Boost
A$AP Rocky scores #1 next week on both the HITS Album Sales and SPS (Sales Plus Streaming) charts. A$AP’s SPS number surges thanks to some very strong streaming. This year, only Drake and Kendrick Lamar have seen single week SEA (streaming-equivalent albums) over 20k. Will A$AP join that club? Here’s how it looks headed into the weekend:
*A$AP Rocky (Polo Grounds/RCA) 110-120k sales, 135-145k SPS *Boosie Badazz (Atlantic) 40-50k, 50-60k *Hillsong United (Hillsong) 45-50k, 45-50k Pitch Perfect 2 (UMe) 30-35k, 45-50k Josh Groban (Reprise) 30-35k, 30-35k Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 30-35k, 65-70k Twenty One Pilots (Fueled By Ramen) 21-24k, 30-35k Mumford & Sons (Glassnote) 20-23k, 25-28k Zac Brown Band (Southern Ground/Varvatos/BMLG/Republic) 18-21k, 24-27k Now 54 (NOW) 17-20k, 17-20k Meghan Trainor (Epic) 17-20k, 35-40k Fifty Shades of Grey (Republic) 14-17k, 30-35k Brantley Gilbert (Valory) 14-17k, 24-24k Sam Smith (Capitol) 12-14k, 25-28k Sam Hunt (MCA Nashville) 12-14k, 21-24k
*Debuts
In other news, the chief executivese of FIFA are adamant that this latest investigation will ultimately clear their names. And they just roofied your drink.

Still bogus that BB (Remix) sales points are included in 1989's total when it's not part of the album.

Sam's remixes have been counting towards his SPS/TEA totals as well, and I believe Maroon 5's remixes the same.
But really, who cares? It's not like they use those numbers to help certify their albums or pad sales numbers, it's just for week by week positioning.

Pretty good for A$AP Rocky and Hillsong UNITED, nice holds for Brantley Gilbert, Josh Groban and Pitch Perfect 2.

What are total sales for 1989, anyone know? (SPS & TEA included) We don't know. Sales figures have not been leaking. The "SPS/TEA/album" sales chart is a chart that is only available through a SoundScan subscription. Taylor is at 4.830 million with pure album sales.

Well we know she sold at lease 11 million singles from 1989 tracks which means you can add at least 1.1 million units, totalling 5.930 million. But that doesn't count streaming or digital sales from most album tracks.

Industry forecasters suggest the set -- which was released on May 26 through Hillsong/Sparrow/Capitol Christian Music Group -- could shift around 50,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 1. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The chart's new top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, June 3. Empires is the latest release from the Hillsong Church brand, which has tallied 21 previous entries on the Billboard 200. (In addition to Hillsong United, the church has earned entries credited to Hillsong, as well as Hillsong Young & Free.) The one earlier top 10 for Hillsong came with 2013's Zion, from Hillsong United, which debuted and peaked at No. 5. Also on tap for top 10 debuts on next week's Billboard 200: A$AP Rocky's At.Long.Last.A$AP, which should open at No. 1 with over 125,000 units, and Boosie Badazz's Touch Down 2 Cause Hell, with perhaps 50,000.

He might have enough SEA/TEA to make top 10 on the BB200, but his raw sales are going to be insanely low

Yeah, I don't think the label cares for his album sales. He still is a massive single seller.

Why do Jason's singles do well, but his albums don't? No identify plus he is a black male Pop artist without any urban appeal (who will most likely buy his music).
