1. Just Dance/Poker Face 2. Bad Romance/Telephone 3. Womanizer/Circus
"Crazy In Love"/"Baby Boy" is a very close 5th.

Saw SUBG/BTHE and clicked immediately without knowing how many answers I could give. Then RITD/SLY, Just Dance/Poker Face.

Womanizer/Circus Bad Romance/Telephone Just Dance/Poker Face
There were some pretty damn good pop singles in the late 2000's.
I would also like to write in Gimme More/Piece of Me.

Love Kelly but had to vote Just Dance / Poker Face. The entire world LOST it when those songs were released. SUBG/BTHE is definitely a contender for 2nd.

"Baby One More Time/Sometimes." Not to start a debate about which one is better but how come Britney's first two singles were choices but not "Genie In A Bottle/What A Girl Wants"? I'm surprised Beyonce and Pink haven't done better.

Gaga Adele Miley at the "It's Like That" shade. Oh crap, haha I honestly didn't even know that was the first single from Emancipation... The goal was to get the best first/second single combos, so I guess I kinda screwed that one up. Anyone else got any other write-ins? I couldn't think of any off the top of my head. Fergie with London Bridge/Fergalicious is a big one I missed. Any others from the 2000s on?

Since U Been Gone isn't a lead single either

Since U Been Gone isn't a lead single either Well Breakaway was from Princess Diaries, and came out long before the album was released... I always figured the label just kinda tacked the song onto the album as it transitioned from a filler soundtrack single into a successful, standalone smash.

To me, Since U Been Gone / Behind These Hazel Eyes will always be my ultimate fav 1-2 punch of all time. BTHE was the perfect follow-up to SUBG. It was more dark/edgy, but still solid pop perfection that solidified Breakway as one of the top breakup albums of all time.

1. Baby/Sometimes 2. Poker Face/Just Dance 3. SUBG/BTHE
She's not a "Pop" artist, but Carrie's Blown Away/TBC was the best two punch ever. :'(

In no order, I voted for Circus, 1989, and Bangerz. She's not a "Pop" artist, but Carrie's Blown Away/TBC was the best two punch ever. :'( TBC didn't go #1 on Country though? Or are you just talking about personal preference A good lot of these songs also didn't go number one pop. Also, "Good Girl" was the lead single anyway. That is what this poll was trying to accomplish was compare lead/second singles to each other. There was just a mess-up on Mariah's.

I honestly was wondering about the Kelly Clarkson choices, but then I remembered that "Breakaway" was technically supposed to be for the princess diaries 2 soundtrack lmao
voted for subg/bthe anyways because it's the only two I actually really like in this lmao

Mariah's were "It's Like That/We Belong Together". "Shake It Off" was third. I actually like "It's Like That" a lot more than "Shake It Off".

Well, I tried to pick based on opinion, but it was too hard, haha. So I went by song plays... Rihanna won. "Only Girl/WMN?" followed by "Diamonds/Stay."

SUBG.BTHE. Will forever remain iconic and a standard that pop divas will attempt to recreate and fail at for all eternity
