Geez Zack....I said all that??? I must have been typing in my sleep. I just don't recall me saying or typing any of that. I don't know enough about music to suggest that. You guys took my statement and assumed something entirely different than what I meant. But hell, think what you want. Just don't like to hear my guy Keith put down because he doesn't use those country sounding instruments. Go put on a Dierks song and get to feeling better and get off my back. Everything in life is changing, so sometimes, like it or not, you may have to change with it! No.....you said that "if all music sounded the same, the world would be a dull place". My post was basically explaining what Lumpy was trying to say with his post. If you actually read my post, you'd see that the thoughts are thoughts that Lumpy and I share, not you. With me so far? And hey this is a messaging board, people are free to express their opinions on music, good or bad. You may not agree with the opinions at hand, but that doesn't mean that people aren't allowed to explain why they like/dislike a song. As for the rest of your sarcastic, assanine reply, no one is attacking you, so I see no reason to "get off your back", I (and others) was simply responding to you. No one is specifically attacking Keith either, someone just made an observation as to how many songs on the radio today don't use the essential instruments that made country what it is today. Now I see no reason to further this conversation but if you wish, we may continue via PM. otherwise, let's quit derailing the thread. Three words are all I have for you Zack.....get a life. OOPs...one more thing...do you feel better now?

Ok, a general reminder: Pulse is not a fan board. If someone dislikes a song, they have every right to express their opinion and state why they dislike the song.
Let's keep the discussion civil and respectful, please.

I like this, and I don't find the production all that jarring. The lyrics are definitely the best part, though. I like most of the Fuse singles better than this though at this point, but it's still early and that could easily change. So far, I'd only put it above "Little Bit Of Everything", but then again I liked singles from his last album a lot. I expect this to be a pretty big hit for him.

I like this quite a bit but I feel this would have been an epic game-changer had they not made it an uptempo.

I didn't really care much for this on my first listen, but it does get much better the more you listen...I agree with others that it should have been a slower song (not great for radio success, but would've been good for song quality).

I really love this song! Sounds like a future "Song of the Year" and perhaps a Grammy nod for Keith. And I'm so pleased he's singing about something other than his typical "love" theme. He's mixing it up and that's smart.

^^ I totally agree with you 100%!!
I know this isn't a fan board, but I will say as one that it's pretty discouraging when reading through the entire thread and see nothing but general complaints. Not liking the song is one thing and everyone's allowed to state their opinion on that, but I do personally agree that some of it is pretty harsh.
With that being said, I'm so proud of Keith. To me, this is crazy different for him and in a good way. Like northwest fan just said, he finally is signing about something other than love, and that's long overdue. WHO CARES if it doesn't sound "country" because like we all know, that conversation can go on for days. Keith could go pop if he wanted to at this point. Not saying he would because I know he won't, but technically he could and he's always been one of the few that could be multi genre anyway. Not a darn thing wrong with it. I say, more power to him.
I'm already hearing it quite a bit on the Nashville stations down here and I cannot wait to continue to do so. This song is going to be an anthem, it's just so darn contagious. It's REALLY good live, as well. I've already seen him do it 4 times and it's only been out a week, lol!!

The title was interesting, but the song itself comes off as flat. It had the potential, but it just fell after the first chorus for me.

A nice upbeat feel to it, but after 1 listen I'm not feeling it. May be a slow grower if I ever end up liking it.

I'm usually not that high on Keith, but I like the chorus of this one. It's got a nice flow to it.
That said, the production butchered this to the point where I am still struggling to understand the words.

Not really feeling this one. The production in particular is what I don't care for. It just isn't appealing to me at all really. I like the song title a lot and was hoping for more because of that, and based on the lyrics, I feel like I'd probably enjoy this much more if it had a more traditional country sound to it. As it is though, I'm not too thrilled by it. I definitely preferred all 5 singles from the Fuse era (all of which I really, really liked) to this.

For some reason I'm getting a feel of "Little Bit of Everything" from this. I actually really love the lyrics in this one, but agree the production could've been better.

If anyone is familiar with the Deluxe version of Fuse, I always hear "Black Leather Jacket" in the very, very beginning of this one :)

I actually like the thick pop production on this one. I think it has personality without seeing overdone. Also it name-drops both Green Day and Wheel of Fortune; did I ghost-write this?
Between this and "Real Life", I think there's a bit of a nostalgia trend coming along again. "American Kids" started it.

Wow, this is outstanding! I really only like his later more poppy stuff, so this is perfect for me. Also, Fuse is one of my favorite albums of the last several years.

Crashes into the Billboard nielsen BDS Canada Country National [Top 50] Airplay at #28! By doing so Keith eclipses Blake Shelton's Sangria which started at #34 on 04/25/15 this year.

Also it name-drops both Green Day and Wheel of Fortune; did I ghost-write this? It's actually not meant to be a reference to the Green Day song. From the midweek Billboard update:

^ Fair enough. Still, this is the only song in any genre I can think of that references Wheel of Fortune, other than "We Didn't Start the Fire" (at least in the mainstream; there was a parody of "The Letter" by The Box Tops called "Vanna, Pick Me a Letter", but it was made by a radio DJ for Dr. Demento).

Nelly mentions Vanna White in his hit song from 2000, "Ride Wit Me."

Up 7 spots to #22 in its 3rd chart week, passing Reba, Dan + Shay, Cole Swindell, Jake Owen, Kip Moore, and Chase Rice in the process.
This one is really doing quite well on iTunes, too. It's up to #9 on the country chart, having pushed ahead of Canaan Smith and Jason Aldean. Keith's had quite a few Gold singles throughout his career, but only 2 Platinum singles: "We Were Us" and "Cop Car".
I know it's still early, but I think this will be his first lead single since "Sweet Thing" to go Gold.

Did LBOE not go gold? Wikipedia says it exceeded 500,000 copies.
