A full day and no posts other than radio updates. This thread really grinds to a screeching halt without one particular person posting. ;)

Does anyone wish to explain the video for The Hills? How they crashed (i.e. how the car flipped), and who the guy at the end was. Don't like it or the song

I don't think I'm really in on the jokes above, I hope people aren't referring to me. :(
What do people think the next #1 will be after See You Again drops? Looking at all the charts atm, the most likely contenders seem to be Bad Blood (again), Honey I'm Good, Fight Song or Cheerleader.
I've never actually heard Honey I'm Good or Fight Song, but their chart performance is very good so far.

This thread is so shady omg Anyway, i personally hope either "Talking Body" & "Hey Mama" can be the next. If "Cheerleader" become #1 (which is very likely), . Just hate it soooo much. I won't barge more about my feelings through it tho #MoreShade

Any predictions for #1 this week or new top 10 entries?
I think See You Again will be #1 but Bad Blood is hot on its trail
And I can see Honey I'm Good and Talking Body both go Top 10 this week. If Cheerleader doesn't do it this week, it will most likely go Top 10 next week. That song is blowing up, I've been hearing it everywhere

And hopefully Sugar can withinold one more week to tie the record and if it does fall out I'd prefer talking body so it can get at least one week in the top 10 before cheerleader skyrockets the week later.

Cheerleader is probably THE summer hit this year, like it or not. More not lol. Not a horrible song but aside from the trumpets at the beginning and at x during the song, it's flat/bland and repetitive and nothing 'that' special. I could see why its a been a hit but not all getting how massive the song was w.w. (and soon to be in the States). However, it's picture perfect for the summer. Reeks from a summer sound. Just wish there were at least a few other hot jams for it to compete with that were better. At this moment (unless a surprise release comes out) it's looking like the only two songs competing are Bad Blood and Cheerleader. I think SYA is on its 7th/8th life. Bad Blood will prob. squeeze in at least a few more weeks at #1 then almost 100% sure that Cheerleader will be the song to dethrone it for god knows how many weeks. Unlike SYA, after several months Cheerleader continues to be high on most worldwide iTunes charts. Once sales/radio start to seriously erupt which I think is happening soon, the song could end up a monster.

Cheerleader sounds like blurred lines: lazy, simple, nothing special but be the biggest hit of summer. I thought it was pretty girls but pg is falling like a rock outside top 50 and cheerleader's gonna be no.1. The chart is becoming unpredictable...

Pretty Girls was destined to be a failure from the moment it was released, I can't believe it lasted 3 weeks within the top 50.
That being said, while Cheerleader does seem to be on its way up it does have a lot of airplay gains to muster, I don't see it doing very well on AC or HAC.

Wiz Khalifa-Led Songs of the Summer Chart Returns to Billboard.com By Gary Trust | June 04, 2015 10:37 AM EDT
It may have seemed impossible in many parts of the U.S. buried under sheets of snow over the winter, but warm weather has, indeed, finally returned. And, with it comes an annual rite as fun as putting away down jackets and replacing them with coats of sunscreen: predicting what will be the top song of the summer.
Now, we can begin officially making our way toward the answer, as Billboard's annual Songs of the Summer chart returns to Billboard.com.
The 20-position Songs of the Summer running tally (up from 10 in years past) tracks the most popular titles based on cumulative performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100 chart from Memorial Day through Labor Day. At the end of the season, the top song of the summer will be crowned.
First, a few flashbacks: Powered by her buzzy arrival, and Charli XCX's irresistible hook, Iggy Azalea's debut smash "Fancy" earned top song of the summer honors for 2014. In 2013, fueled by its racy video and record radio audience levels, Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams, won the title. Other winners this decade: Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" (2012); LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock (2011); and, fittingly, Katy Perry's beach-centric "California Girls," featuring Snoop Dogg (2010).
Wiz Khalifa's 'See You Again' Replaces Taylor Swift at No. 1 on Hot 100
This year, Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again," featuring Charlie Puth, the Hot 100's current leader, ranks at No. 1 on the maiden Songs of the Summer survey, followed by Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood," featuring Kendrick Lamar. While "Again" has led the Hot 100 for seven weeks, returning to the top this week, it appears to have notable momentum left, having ascended to No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart just last week. "Blood," meanwhile, falls from No. 1 to No. 2 on the Hot 100, but with its life as a single having just begun (with its video premiering at the beginning of the Billboard Music Awards May 17), both songs look like strong contenders for top song of summer as the season starts.
Rounding out the first Songs of the Summer chart's top five, Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" ranks at No. 3, followed by Walk the Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" (No. 4) and the unofficial song of the winter, Mark Ronson's former 14-week Hot 100 No. 1 "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars (No. 5).
Song of the Summer: Taylor Swift, Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea, Maroon 5 and Other Early Contenders
Also surely in the mix in the sultry weeks ahead: Jason Derulo's "Want to Want Me" (No. 7 on Songs of the Summer); David Guetta's "Hey Mama," featuring Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha and Afrojack (No. 8); Andy Grammer's "Honey, I'm Good." (No. 11); DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge's "You Know You Like It" (No. 15); and OMI's "Cheerleader" (No. 16), among several others (including Maroon 5's aptly-titled "This Summer's Gonna Hurt...," not yet on the ranking).
Who'll win this summer's chart battle? We've got a hot 100 days, give or take, to find out, and we'll see you in September for the answer.

Interesting that "Talking Body" is competely skipped over as potential song for the summer chart.

The trumpet is the best selling point and it does sound like summer. But longevity for the artist is more of a question. I knew it wouldn't be Pretty Girls. Fancy was more organic and natural as a song. Pretty Girls just sounds forced and manufactured. I wouldn't sell Maroon 5 short in the race for summer. This Summer's Gonna Hurt may not have the sales yet, but the chorus is catchy as heck (I predict you'll be hearing a lot of drunken chanting to it in nightclubs) and I can see this going pretty far. Also, don't sell Derulo's song Want to Want Me short, either. It's got a shot.

This Summer does not have the sales yet, but for some reason radio decided they should play it constantly, so they'll end up convincing the public to buy the song.

Any chance of Classic Man reaching top 10 in Radio and Billboard charts? I think it has a chance, what do you guys think?
Also, HOW IS LATCH STILL IN THE TOP 75???
