For many years, I have been using the Mediabase Song Player. It essentially is a player (that only has worked in Internet Explorer) that has an embedded Windows Media Player and using it, I have been able to play music.
www.airplayaddboard.com/mmrwebinclude/player.asp?sngcde=
When I insert the song code (which is the first four letters of the artist name and the initial of each of the first four words of the song), the song used to play in the player. I have been using this since like 2006, but all of a sudden about three weeks ago, nothing will play. The web page is still there, but nothing is downloading from the server.
For instance, if I wanted to hear the new Maroon 5 song, I could type www.airplayaddboard.com/mmrwebinclude/player.asp?sngcde=MAROTSGH. The website still appears to work and the title and artist of the song come up, however it no longer plays.
Where this was very useful to me was that on the embedded Windows Media Player, I could right-click and click on "properties" and a link would come up (and it still does). For instance, "This Summer's Gonna Hurt . . . " comes up as mms://206.53.211.116/verifiedwma/2107099.wma.
In the past, I could put that link into a program called FlashGet and it would download the .wma file from the Mediabase server.
Not only will the songs no longer play in the Windows Media Player on the website, but nothing will download from the server.
My question is . . . is anybody aware of the website or server address changing? Could anybody help me access an updated version of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
