This song has just been kind of... here lol, for the lack of a better word. Nice to see it still chugging along, though

It flies under the radar, but the song has so much potential i'm hoping it explodes and become a hit

18 adds this week! I can't believe there are that many stations that hadn't added it yet.

Pop kills me with what R&B songs they choose to embrace.

Pop kills me with what R&B songs they choose to embrace. I was actually thinking the opposite. While I like Alessia and this song, it's annoying that mainstream urban radio is spinning it enough for it to make the top 20 there, when there are various other female R&B singers struggling to get even half of the spins this song has at the format. If someone like Jazmine Sullivan or Melanie Fiona sang this, it would most likely be relegated to urban AC, if that.

I agree 100%, but I've started to feel like there's some behind the scenes deal certain records are getting across multiple formats. Like it's a requirement it has to get a certain number of spins at Urban once Pop takes notice. After "Royals" and "Dark Horse" went Top 10 at Urban, I'm not buying it. Because, exactly, there's no way a dope record like "Let It Burn" by Jazmine didn't get played but this is. LOL.

Her vocals here remind me of Christina Grimmie at times

I can't follow the melody on this. It's just like a barrage of notes and words

I can't follow the melody on this. It's just like a barrage of notes and words It's a swing rhythm of sixteenth notes with a lot of repeated pitches. The song is a huge narrative, so I personally think that enhances it and helps the lyrics come across better.

Based on the add boards, it actually looks like it impacted urban a whole month before impacting pop. I don't doubt that the mainstream airplay has provided "Here" with momentum at urban, but this song definitely isn't one of those examples of pop releases that eventually crossed over to urban. It's a song Def Jam has been working at urban since the very beginning.
