This is one of four versions of the song to hit the top 40, something that was common in the pre-rock'n'roll era but rare by 1960. Gary Mills, Billy Vaughn, and Garry Miles (a pseudonym for Buzz Cason, apparently chosen to confuse himself with Gary Mills) had the others.
Oddly, for a pretty ballad, it comes from a horror film ("Circus of Horrors", a British production.)

I really like it! But I'm embarrassed that for someone with a vast collection of music, I don't have any of the versions nor have I ever heard it before today! All 4 of them charted in 1960.
