I've seen some comments on here recently that said Mariah Carey and Miguel's 2013 single "#Beautiful" would have performed better if the title did not have the hashtag. What do you all think? Did the hashtag help, hurt, or have no effect on the performance of the single?

I don't think it affected the song's performance at all.

I honestly don't think it hurt or helped the song significantly chart wise. The only aspect I think it helped on was social media.

I think it looked dumb, but I don't think it had a significant effect on the performance. I mean, LOL was a hit.

No.. If anything really hurt it after it initially took off really well the first few weeks, I'd blame the embarrassing music video and live performances.

What week in it's chart run did it's peak in it's chart run? I feel like this song kind of came and went in 6-8 weeks.

So it kind of had the "Superstar" 5-6 week rise than fall. Do you happen to know or remember where it's sales position was when it was peaking??? I feel like a decent amount of people liked/loved this song when it came out but it had to grow with some people I knew as well. Then when they caught on they loved it but it already was dropping off the charts. lol.

I don't remember exactly where it was on Digital Songs when it's airplay peaked, but it spent a long time in the teens on iTunes (and I believe it went as high as #4). I'd imagine that's about where it was after 5-6 weeks.
