ETA: Carrie and Keith are performing "The Fighter" on the Grammys. It could be cool if it was a sort of tribute section and they did a medley of duets and ended with that one. They could obviously do "I Knew You Were Waiting" in tribute to George Michael. Maybe a Merle Haggard/Bonnie Owens duet or a Stanley Brothers song, too.

I think Keith and Carrie will be performing their own song (for a minute more or less) before getting into The Fighter. If so, i really hope she performs CCA and kills that harmonica part. Everybody will be blown away.

I doubt it, but I would love for her to perform "Choctaw" too. That song needs to be heard.

I wish she and Keith would wait to perform "The Fighter" at the ACMs (since it'll be a hit at that point) and instead Keith performed "Blue Ain't Your Color" and Carrie sang some song of her own and not just the echo on the chorus of a Keith song... I like "The Fighter" and all, but it makes more sense for the ACMs in my opinion. I guess the Grammys can be the "debut" of the song though and create buzz that way...

I wouldn't be so bummed about this if it wasn't for the idea that she could easily give us that high-profile performance of CCA, or even the US debut performance of "Chaser"... or even the actual debut performance of "Relapse." I also wouldn't be so bummed about this if "The Fighter" was actually a good song. Nevertheless, at least she'll be there and was asked to perform at the show again. This'll be her eighth time performing. '07 ("Desperado"/RF collab), '08 (BHC), '09 (LN), '10 (Michael Jackson tribute), '12 (Tony Bennett), '13 (BA/TBC), '16 (Sam Hunt collab), and now '17. That's pretty incredible.

Honestly, I don't think artists have too much of a say at the Grammys in terms of what they perform. I think this was a "kill two birds with one stone" kinda thing; two country performers and nominees in one slot... I don't think it's so dramatic as "take the opportunity or leave it", but Carrie isn't one to go diva on them and ask for/demand more airtime. She'll take what they give her...

They've got room for negotiation. It's common for artists to perform the songs they're nominated for, but there can be compromise. Several examples of that, too -- immediate one that stands out is Swift playing "All Too Well" the same year that Red was nom'd for AOTY, and she had 3 other nominations. Pretty sure that was the year "Begin Again" was up for awards, too.

Carrie just won me $20.00 to Buffalo Wild Wings... went to their trivia night and the final question was a double or lose-all question. The question was: "which all American girl is this?" And it had a picture of Carrie's profile. I got it right, of course, and our team won! YAY, Thanks Carrie!

She's got enough registered co-writes or previously determined 'on-hold' songs for 3 more albums. And that's just the ones we know of!
Pick the best 13 and give us a Fall 2017 album, Carrie!

Or just a compilation of demos or whatever for the fans; not an official release in the sense of things promoted to radio, but something to tide fans over.

We're getting an official music video :) Carrie and Keith were on set for the music video today. They posted a cute clip from Instagram of them on set in a boxing ring. I'll link the post below :) http://instagr.am/p/BQLxk9TDfWj

This song is going to be absolutely massive, isn't it? I'm not even bothered by the pedestrian lyrics anymore. Come collect your easy smash, Carrie.
Also, she looks damn good in that IG post. She should wear her hair and make-up exactly like that for #CU6.

Yeah, despite my disliking for the song, it's gonna be big. It peaked at #2 on iTunes all-genre upon initial release. With the Grammys & the video, I'm thinking this will be huge.
Anyways, I think this seals this era off.

It's going to be played at so many weddings too. I can already envision the embarrasing viral videos.
ETA: "The Fighter" goes for adds 2/13!
