Congrats Scotty for 27 new adds!! Is this good? I mean, Scotty is not a new artist anymore in the country industry. He's on his third album. What do you guys think?

106 spins!!! How many spin til top 50? Between 400 and 500, usually. Hopefully you enjoy posting here and welcome. There is also an edit feature on your posts that allows you to update what you most recently said without creating a new post if nobody has had a chance to reply yet. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions on how any board functionality works. In terms of this song, Scotty is entering at a busy time on the charts but being his first release in a while, he should be able to make a decent impact. But his chart run will be slow, so be prepared for that.

CORNY AS F**K. WORST HOOK EVER. At least he's not ugly. At least he's not ugly. UGHH!!! Is that the only good thing going for him. The most redeming thing is his looks?? Not the talent behind the voice. Not trying to get onto you, but I just think there is more behind the song and voice then meets the eye. It's you're opinion though.

I just listened to this for the first time (I've been so busy lately that I'm way behind on new music) and wow, this is probably my favorite single from Scotty yet. He sounds really good on this, and the production is really good as well.
I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed in radio's response so far, though. This went for adds 2 weeks ago and it's barely on 30 stations. I would've hoped it'd be closer to 50 by now. Also, I'm not sure if Scotty will be able to crack the Billboard top 60 on Monday yet. Eric Church and Kip Moore look to be the only recurrents...Cassadee Pope should re-enter pretty easily and I wouldn't be surprised to see ZBB's "Beautiful Drug" take the 2nd spot. If not them, it could go to Tyler Farr or possibly Scotty or Mo Pitney. I think it'll take a week or two before Rascal Flatts and Jon Pardi challenge for the top 60. It could take that long for Scotty as well.
It's just really congested right now, and these next 4-5 weeks are gonna be brutal as well, with upwards of 2 dozen songs going for adds. Scotty (and others) would really benefit if some of the old songs finally give up like Eric and Kip have this week. I'd like to see Chase Rice, Lady Antebellum, Big & Rich, Parmalee, and maybe a couple others go recurrent soon, as none of those 4 seem likely to climb much higher.

#63 on mediabase country, 247 spins with 45 stations... Cassadee's ahead of him already at #59 :( Cassadee released her song in July, but her add date wasn't until Sep. 8th. She was sent on a radio tour & stations had already started giving her new single spins before her add date. The following link is the Billboard chart from 8/17 which had Cassadee's "I Am Invincible" charting on Billboard Country Airplay at #60. www.billboard.com/files/pdfs/country_update_0817.pdfThe single dropped off the charts since then. I doubt the spins were declining that much since it was going to be going for adds soon & the label should have pushed it more. While Billboard & Mediabase monitor different stations, I assume she was also getting a good amount of spins from Mediabase stations & charting in the 60's on Mediabase before her add date. So I'm not surprised at Cassadee being ahead. As far as Scotty's "Southern Belle," it's getting spins & going in the right direction just at a slower pace. Charts are really slow. It seems to be getting a good reception from radio PD's. What he needs are more adds & new stations playing him. I don't know what is the issue with the low # of adds. He needs more adds & spins in the next few weeks because there are a lot of artists coming out with new music & it's possible for singles to get lost in the shuffle. Hopefully, there are a bunch of new adds today & spins in the following weeks & this is not a continuing problem.

9 adds this week!!! Total of 48 adds!!! Wooohooo! Oh my gosh. Edit one of your posts this is a triple post and it's so annoying. Please just edit so your posts aren't stacked on each other. Also please I don't think we need weekly updates this song is young enough into it's run there's no need to post about this every week. No offense.

This will be a slow mover, but it'll be a top 10 in the end. Hopefully even better! Who knows it may be one of the songs of the Summer in 2016. That alone would speak volumes about the Country chart since it was released in September!

Scotty is writing a book, releasing next May. Very cool! theboot.com/scotty-mccreery-biography-go-big-or-go-home-book/Scotty McCreery Writing Biography for Release in 2016 By Angela Stefano October 8, 2015 11:00 AM Scotty McCreery fans are eagerly awaiting the release of a new album from the former American Idol contestant in 2016, but they’ll be getting a second new project from the singer next year: a book. McCreery is set to release his biography, Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream, on May 3, 2016. The project will be his first book. Go Big or Go Home follows the Season 10 American Idol winner from his childhood to his appearance on the TV singing competition to what things are like now in his country music career. McCreery worked on his biography with author Travis Thrasher, who has previously aided Jimmy Wayne and Thompson Square in writing books. “God gave me a voice, and America gave me a chance,” McCreery says in a press release. “This book is about those two things, and about the amazing journey that began the moment I decided to say two words about this show I knew and loved: ‘Why not?’” McCreery released his newest single, “Southern Belle,” over the summer. He’s also spent the past few months out on the road with Rascal Flatts, on the trio’s Riot Tour 2015. “We’re just watching from afar,” McCreery tells The Boot. “We’re at the soundboard, watching the shows and watching what they’re doing [on stage], but also backstage — how they run their tours, how they treat people, what catering companies are good, what catering companies are bad. I’ve learned a lot.” Go Big or Go Home: The Journey Toward the Dream is being released through Zondervan, a Christian publisher based in Grand Rapids, Mich. It will be available for pre-order on Nov. 15; more details are forthcoming.

do his singles usually climb this slow? lol Yes. Most of his singles have had 10-12 months climbing time each. The only exception being his 1st and then when WTT tanked in the upper 30s. Being a Scotty fan requires a lot of patience with the charts. The only reason his SYT CD stopped at 2 singles was the slow time they took getting to the top 10.

do his singles usually climb this slow? lol His singles are usually slow moving. "See You Tonight" was released April 2013. The single was in the Top 40 range for months. It peaked in the Top 10 on Billboard & went recurrent in Mar. 2014. "Feelin' It" was released April 2014. It made Top 10 & didn't go recurrent until Jan. 2015. This is going slow. But it's not unusual for Scotty's singles. He does need more spins & new stations because of all the new music coming out.
