Really love cj solars version on his website. Jerrods vocals just do nothing for me.

I have my doubts that this is going for adds on the 13th. Music Row says it is, but we're less than a week away and the adds date hasn't been published in Billboard or Country Aircheck yet. That never happens. My guess is that the adds date will be July 20 or 27.

I wouldn't put it past going for adds on the 13th but Music Row has been off before ("Stay A Little Longer") and my bet would be the 20th.

The last 12 seconds is a clip of "Blue Bandana."

The last 12 seconds is a clip of "Blue Bandana." I can't believe "Donkey" didn't make the clip montage in that promo.

The other writers on "Blue Bandana" are Ben Goldsmith and Andrew Scott Wills. This from the Tennessean: "Blue Bandana" should hit iTunes by midnight.

Up on iTunes and Spotify now.
It's midtempo and "breezy." Will be a good fall song.
Thank you to Jerrod for keeping your promise to sound more organic.

This is easily the best thing Jerrod has released since "Only God Could Love You More". I think he did Solar's version justice and the melody is pretty good, though it's a little muffled in the chorus. The only minor gripe I have is that I wish this song was a little more acoustic driven, but of course I know why it isn't with this having to be a hit on mainstream country radio. The lyrics are solid and this is a great song for the end of summer and the fall.
I'm not sure how well this will do on radio since it's Jerrod, and his singles are hard to forecast how they'll do. I didn't see the #1 success of "Lover, Lover". I thought "Shinin' On Me" was going to reach the top 10, and I predicted "Drink To That All Night" to be too polarizing; so I'm 0 for 3 in predicting Jerrod's last three lead singles, lol. I guess I'll play it safe and say a solid top 20 peak.

I like this one a lot, he's kind of hard to pin down as an artist even, I've always felt his songs existed just outside the norms of Country music of the time and I hope this is a big hit for him. I can see this becoming almost an anthem of sorts, especially for the "country" guys who have dated girls that were big into the Bonnaroo type music.

They are, was just using an example from the song. They are at the country festivals as well though.

This is really refreshing to hear. Since Jerrod is a self-proclaimed "country historian/fanatic", I would expect better quality of material from him , like this song (and not like his previous album). I think this is right in his wheel-house, and hopefully radio can get this Top 10 at least, albeit a slow climb (thanks to Donkey and Buzz Back Girl).
Not so much production-wise, but lyrically/thematically, this screams a song that Kenny Chesney would have recorded, especially in his recent material. While listening to it today, I couldn't help but imagine Chesney singing this.
If the new record is more organic, then I will definately check it out. Man , we are in for a full Q4/Q1 album releases, there's tons of projects not yet announced.

So expect a release scheduled then with maybe an EP to hold people over before that.

Jerrod predicted this album will be released during "cold weather months", so that means Q4 or Q1, with Q1 being more likely. Perhaps a February or March street date, assuming the single achieves a desired peak.

What's a shame is that "Donkey" was Gary Overton's call more than anyone at Sony and I still wonder how things would have shaken out for High Noon is they had chosen almost anything else as the second single. The station support was great out of the gate (the song however ended up testing poorly and it was deemed too polarizing), so I think another top 20 single would have been likely. "Blue Bandana" is certainly a very important single for Jerrod.

I love this. This is the perfect end-of-summer and fall song, and I really like the lyrics. Way, way better than any of the High Noon singles.
I've really loved every Jerrod Niemann single except the three High Noon singles. "What Do You Want" and "Only God Could Love You More" are two of my favorite songs of the 2010s, so I was pretty disappointed by his last album era. I really hope this gets his commercial success and quality back on track

I enjoyed this. Thanks for posting it -- I hope to hear it at least once on country radio, but I'm not betting on it. It's not bad enough.
Good vocals, nothing earthshaking but a well-written song.

I like this quite a bit... I also liked Drink to That All Night so take that as you will.
The music and melody remind me of another song so much, but I can't place it right now. Does it remind anyone else of anything??

I can't believe I like a Jerrod Niemann song, but this is really good. However, I'm worried that the festival references are going to fly over many listeners heads, and won't connect with many. I'll be rooting for this one though, which is more than I could say for his past 3 singles.

If not, the melody and production are modern and good enough to connect well with all types of audiences. It's so good to have THIS Jerrod back. I like this one a lot. I'm not sure how the rest of the album will be, I wasn't crazy about the other 2 new ones, but they were still miles better than anything off "High Noon"

While listening to it today, I couldn't help but imagine Chesney singing this. I thought the same thing while listening to this on the road a couple days ago. Overall, this is an excellent song. The production is on point and Jerrod does what he almost always does as a solid vocalist.
