Miranda Lambert > Taylor Swift
Country Male Artists are so boring
Mariah Carey is a musical genius but vocally she's no match for Streisand at the same age
Carrie Underwood > Kelly Clarkson
Madonna is a great pop vocalist and is exceptionally beautiful
Adam Levine is not attractive
80s Dance Pop > EDM
Bieber has an incredible body
Beyonce is the jack of all trades, master of none
Nothing special about Gaga's voice, but she'd make a great actress
Florence Welch > Adele
Christina was always better looking than Britney
Patti Labelle > Aretha Franklin
Country females voices > any other genre
Katy Perry is adorable but really not that hot when you look closely
Nicki Minaj is the most creative commercial act to have emerged so far this century
Nelly Furtado deserves a comeback
(I'm not trying to say anything mean here, just calling out who I find overrated.)

-Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is a good album
-Janet Jackson's catalog hasn't aged nearly as well as I would have thought 10 years ago
-Generally, Beyonce's entire career has suffered from songwriting and material below her performance capability. Even with her 2 recent albums where that aspect is stronger, it's still weaker there relative to the strongest efforts from a lot of acts.
-Lady Gaga's peak seems much longer ago than it actually was
-The EDM breakthrough at the turn of the decade permanently changed popular music in that electronic influence and non-traditional lead acts like DJs have been made a regularity.
-People who think being a vocalist means you should automatically get lead billing are dumb
-Fans of every genre who moan about things not being "traditional" or "the way they were", be it R&B or Country or those who want to call "Pop" a genre, are the worst and most detrimental individuals to the progress of those genres into the future.
-Kanye West is one of the greatest acts of our time. He will be remembered and ultimately acclaimed, even if it won't be in his lifetime.
-People who place vocals above everything else in music tend to have the most boring music tastes
There's definitely more.

- I think Roman Holiday was one of Nicki Minaj's best live performances. I thought it was a little messy, but I think it was by design because of the nature of the song and the character she is portraying in that song. It was thoroughly entertaining.

- I enjoy Nicki Minaj's pop tracks. I don't get why everyone hated PF:RR
- Taylor Swift has yet to top Fearless.
- Adore Delano's music is amazing, and everyone should know about it!
- Zayn isn't the most attractive 1D member (well... ex-member :'( ) Liam + Niall >>>> but he's cute.
- Justin Bieber makes great music, he's just a douche.
- Ariana Grande is immensely talented and makes better music than Mariah Carey. (Don't kill me. I like Mimi too)
- Miley Cyrus deserves more credit than she's getting.
- Kanye may be annoying, but he makes some great music, and is one of the most creative minds in the music industry.
- Madonna is highly overrated.
- Nickelback's music doesn't all sound the same.
- 2010s >>> 2000s music

-People look for reasons to discredit Beyonce and her music because of how positively she is received by the public. -Britney's music from 1999-2007 >>>> any Madonna music aside from Bedtime Stories -Janet's music is amazing but she's only had 4 albums that I consider great bodies of work. And all of her albums have a few songs that are just terrible. (Don't @ me) -Ariana Grande's music isn't nearly up to par with what it could be considering her voice. Her albums have 2-3 songs that stand up over time and that's it. -Kim >>>> Nicki, as far as albums go. -Nicki's pop music is godawful. -Katy, Kesha, Selena, Taylor, etc. routinely release terrible music with a good single once in a blue moon. I don't understand how anyone would want a full album from any of them. -Rainbow is a good Mariah album that gets a bad rep because it's essentially a B-version of Butterfly. -JLo has had like 4 good songs in her entire career. -3D from TLC is a great album aside from the cut-and-paste Left Eye interpolation. -Ashanti sort of makes the same music over and over again but it's always good. She's only really had one album I consider a disappointment. -Nicki's best work is still the Playtime Is Over mixtape. -Brandy is an extremely underrated albums artist. -Pop music today is generally a lot worse than it was 10 years ago. -Pharrell is annoying and his music is stale in the year 2015. -The Writing's on the Wall album is one of the best R&B albums of all time. -No More Drama > The Breakthrough -Azealia Banks, asshole she may be, is the most talented and creative female artist to debut in the 2010s. -Kylie and Robyn >>>> most of the pop girls whose careers actually took off. -EDM music is ugly. -Lil Wayne was one of the greatest to ever do it. The first 3 Carter albums are insanely good. -Foxy Brown's only good record was Ill Na Na, her other music never matched her skill.

-Kim >> Nicki, as far as albums go. I agree with that. Kim's earlier work was far more consistent and that really showed on the albums.

Carrie's Inside Your Heaven is the best Idol coronation son T. Swift pop music > country music Madonna's American Life song is miles better than Hung Up and even the whole Confession album Rihanna's Take A Bow is her best song ever Rihanna's SOS is better than most of her other singles One Direction's Best Song Ever is really their best song. Zayn's high note is perfect Harry is thdm ugliest One D member, too overrated. Liam is the best, a bit underrated. Psy's Gangnam Style is miles better than Maroon 5's One More Night which blocked Psy from number one. Austin Mahone's What About Love is better than most Bieber's singles Beyonce's last 2 albums are 2 of her worst albums Ariana is the best new vocalist since when Xtina debuted in late 90s. Katy's Roar and Dark Horse are better than the all Teenage Dream singles Bruno Mars is the best male artist today. Adele's Someone Like Yotu is one of the most boring hits ever

- Glove Slap was right on with all of those
- raspy vocalists are generally capable of better and more emotional performances and recordings than crisp and clear vocalists
- Let Go by Avril Lavigne is one of the best pop albums of all time.
- R&B as a genre has been dull for 15 years but when there's a solid R&B album or song, it's extremely rewarding.
- Subtle EDM influences on pretty much every genre has added much-needed spice to them.

-Out of all the pop stars, Bruno Mars is the best one -the auto-tune craze was the lowest point in pop music -most EDM is not good dance music -Nicki Minaj is a terrible singer and should not sing anymore -Katy Perry is one of the most overrated pop stars of all time -Kanye West is a very talented producer and a decent rapper -the best female pop artist at the moment is Adele, with Pink coming in second -"Let It Go" was a terribly overrated Disney song -music in 2009 wasn't that good like a lot of people claim -the 2010's have been a better decade in music than the 2000's -"Drunk In Love" was not a good song at all, I don't get why a lot of critics thought it was good or deep, it was one of the worst songs on the album -At first I thought Kesha was the worst thing to happen to music and did not understand her appeal, but she's actually a pretty good singer as I eventually would find out. -Taylor Swift was never legitimately country and none of her songs ever really sounded country. -"Time Of Our Lives" is a much better Pitbull/Ne-Yo collaboration than "Give Me Everything" -people should not use auto-tune other than for creative reasons or unless they're T-Pain. -Drake is actually a good rapper when he tries. -Drake did not start from the bottom like he claims in his song -I think "Rude" by MAGIC! is a good song. -"Harlem Shake" gets a lot of backlash because it was a #1 hit, but in reality is not that bad of a song. -LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" is one of the worst #1 hits ever. -Madonna should retire from music because I feel she is embarrassing herself. -"Nasty Freestyle" is not a legit freestyle. -Even though most of the songs that become popular are terrible, I admit that I like the fact that Vine has been making rap songs reach the top 10, as a fan of rap I can't help but feel that. -Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" is not a female empowerment anthem in any way, shape or form. -Lady Gaga is actually talented beneath all of her antics. -I prefer Mley Cyrus now than on her "Hannah Montana" days because she's more amusing now than she was back then. -I don't think Selena Gomez is a good singer. -the 80's weren't the best musical decade as many people claim. -Aside from the annoying fanbase, I never really thought One Direction was that bad. -2013, 2014 and this year have been the best years this decade in music so far, with 2012 having an honorable mention. -Out of all of the boy band to have emerged, the Jonas Brothers were the worst ones in my opinion. -"You Know You Like It" is boring and not up to par with "Turn Down for What" for DJ Snake. -I can't stand when people have to point out on YouTube videos of older songs that their music was "real music" and that today's is crap, I do not like that mindset, plus that is not an objectively true statement. -I prefer that we have less #1 hits than having so many during the year because it makes it more significant and more rewarding of being a #1 song, many songs being #1 make it feel less significant.

*I never have (and never will), understand the fuss over Britney as an artist or performer; she's had some good singles, and that's about it for me *Christina >> Britney *Christina has a lot of gems in her discography; IDG the intense hate she receives for the bulk her material. *Although I was glad to see Taylor leave Country, I find most of her Pop material to be garbage; she showed spades of being a great writer in Country, at least *I don't understand the praise Taylor receives as a writer, as if she's some kind of genius. Her lyrics are basic and recycled. *Speak Now << Fearless *Miranda Lambert>>> Kacey Musgraves *Dixie Chicks absolutely destroy 90% of the acts in Country music, and none of the current groups have even 1/1oth of their talent and artistry *Love me some Mariah, but her albums have so much filler; her singles were flawless *Ariana Grande wouldn't even be worthy to hand Mimi her splash, tbh *Pink and Kelly Clarkson are both insanely talented, but kinda boring *Carrie, Jordin << Kelly *Love me some Bey, but sometimes the amount of praise she gets is pure f***king overkill. Damn. *Drunk In Love is absolutely terrible *Aside from "Just Dance," Gaga's first album has aged terribly *GNR's Use Your Illusion albums have much stronger individual songs than Appetite For Destruction *Chinese Democracy is better than GN'R's post Illusion albums, and it also showcases more artistry than the solo efforts of all the ex-GNR members solo projects *Although I respect their incredible talent, Queen is way too theatrical for my tastes *Nirvana is incredibly overrated and overpraised

- Britney Spears is directly comparable to Madonna in terms of cultural impact and industry respect in this generation. - Cher is infinitely more important than either of them in the grand scheme of things. - Katy Perry is talented, but as is the problem with a lot of artists mentioned in this thread, her material does not live up to what she's capable of. - That said, Katy Perry is also a genius. - Nicki Minaj is routinely overrated. There are many female rappers who can do what she can, and better, that should be just as successful (not to take away from Nicki). - Drake's rapping is garbage. - Sky Ferreira's biggest mistake was dropping the pop sound for whatever depressing bulls**t she's doing now. - Rihanna deserves just as much, if not more credit than BeyoncΓ© for her contributions to the industry (not accounting for charity work or other advocacy outside of it). - ADELE is the most boring, forced presence in pop culture and I dread the day we're made to endure her again. - Kesha is ridiculously talented as a writer and businesswoman who was mishandled by her label. - Sugar Ray is the greatest boyband of all time. - Snoop Lion was hilarious and I loved every minute of that. The music wasn't that bad either. - Kelis is one of the most under-appreciated artists that I've ever known. This woman is a creative force.

-Kylie and Robyn >> most of the pop girls whose careers actually took off. *bows down* YAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! -"Drunk In Love" was not a good song at all, I don't get why a lot of critics thought it was good or deep, it was one of the worst songs on the album I forgot to mention this one. Agree wholeheartedly

-"So Deep" is Kiesza's best song. -I will never get over the fact Electrik Red never got a second album put out. How to Be a Lady: Volume 1 is a fault free album. -Annie = quintessential pop. "Invisible" is my favorite song of hers to date. -808s & Heartbreak is still my favorite Kanye album. In general, I think he has a strong discography as well. -RΓ³isΓn Murphy is brilliant. Hairless Toys was well worth the wait. Her whole discography including her Moloko material is just strong all the way through. -Body Language is Kylie Minogue's best album. -Janelle Monae is insanely talented and deserves so much more, but "Yoga" is dreadful. The ArchAndroid still remains as my favorite so far of this decade though. -Ciara > Rihanna and by a large margin at that. -Hard Candy is not a bad album. In fact, I would genuinely rank it within my personal top three of Madonna albums. Yes, I realize that is a wonky sentiment around these parts but w/e I f**king mean it! -Nocturnes is more impressive than Hands when it comes to Little Boots. -Azealia Banks is actually intelligent and basically a musical genius. The issue though is that she has misguided and cunty ways of coming across 95 percent of the time... if you notice the context of what she says though? She's right more than people care to give her credit as being. -"The Wind" is easily one of Mariah's best songs. Super underappreciated it seems like, but a masterpiece nonetheless. I'm more of a casual fan of hers, but it's brilliant. Her lower register on that is surreal. -Kimbra is way too underappreciated. -Nicole Scherzinger is one of the best pop vocalists around in this current stage and she can actually perform on top of that. Gotta be honest I have enjoyed the bulk of her solo material as well. -Marina & the Diamonds' first album is still her best to date. -Kiddo by Tove Styrke is one of the best pop releases of this year. -"Why Should I Be Sad" still remains as my favorite Britney Spears song to date. -Cheryl may have had the success from Girls Aloud solo, but Nadine's vocals pretty much s**t on everyones from that group. And out of the solo albums from all the girls Nicola's still remains as the best one released so far. -Control is Janet's best album imo. -Toro y Moi has yet to put out a bad album. His range musically is also kind of insane in theory, but appreciated nonetheless. -The only good things about the PC music wave/fad currently are Sophie and Kane West. Oh and that one song by Liz "When I Rule the World" (which of course is produced by Sophie), but yeah? Other than those given exceptions I can't be bothered with it. -Sam Sparro and MNEK are insanely good vocalists. I still kind of wish "Sick" from Sam would have gotten a video treatment and put out as a single from his first album. -"Red Wine" is Kelly Rowland's best song to date. -Rita Ora is great. -1989 is a bit overrated as a collective, but "New Romantics", "I Know Places" (super underrated), and "Style" still remain as my favorites from it. -The backlash Keri Hilson got due the Beyonce stuff was also irrational and utter bulls**t. Her albums have been pretty solid on a general level as well. Eternal tears 4 life for "Alienated" never getting a singles release. -Solange > Beyonce on who I prefer musically even though arguably Beyonce delivered soundly with her last two albums. Her other albums however have always been half baked affairs to me keeping it honest.

Unpopular Opinions
- I don't really understand how people think The Weeknd is good. I just see him as a Bruno Mars wannabe (who I don't really like much, I just think Bruno is way ahead of The Weeknd in terms of, well, everything.)
- Sara Bareilles is the most talented artist (that I know). She has the best voice in the industry. Sara Bareilles is one of the only four artists who I could listen to all day. The other three are OneRepublic, Kelly Clarkson, and Jon McLaughlin.
- I used to be indifferent about Demi Lovato. One time I gave her a listen and instantly became a fan. She's got very amazing vocals (not as good as KC and SaraB, though). Neon Lights is her best song so far.
- Gaga. I admit I loved her before just because of her antics. Now I realize how talented she actually is. I find her songs very worthy of giving a listen esp. The Fame Monster songs. Speechless and Bad Romance are her best songs, imo.
- Jon McLaughlin deserves what John Mayer has. (Not the relationships)
- Stay the Same by Joey McIntyre is one of the best songs ever.
- I hate Adam Levine's voice but I still listen to some of M5's songs. M5 before >>>>>> M5 now.
- I wish Ashlee Simpson would make another album.
- George Ezra's a weird guy (you'll know if you follow him on twitter) and I find him better than Sam Smith and...
- Ed Sheeran, I don't really understand how people like him (yet I got like 3 or 4 of his songs on my computer, not Thinking Out Loud which I truly loathe).
- Happy is a really great song, would give it 9/10. Just got overplayed.
- Rixton's Beautiful Excuses is a must-hear and should be a single.
- All singles from Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway deserved the no. 1 spot.
- Gavin DeGraw talent is too underrated. He deserves bigger success.
- I miss Kesha.
- Phillip Phillips is the third best Idol winner. (Kelly then Carrie)
- OneRepublic's Waking Up is the best album of this millennium (I know it's only been 15yrs).
- *NSYNC should make another album.
- I really want to see a Friends reunion episode but I don't think that's the best idea.
- Vanessa Hudgens is a pretty decent singer.
- I don't get the deal with songs with dialogues/lines for bridge except Oops! I Did it Again.
- If I could have the voice of one artist, it's gotta be Skylar Astin (or Michael BublΓ©).
- Ryan Cabrera with the spiky hair is better than the Ryan now.
- The Voice isn't good.
- Carrie Underwood's best song is I Told You So.

A few more: - Whitney Houston had tremendous vocal talent. But apart from The Bodyguard soundtrack and few stray singles (βHow Will I Know,β βWhen You Believe,β etc.), she recorded a lot of mediocre songs.
- Conversely, Alicia Keys is an unimpressive live vocalist who records excellent songs.
- Ed Sheeranβs + > x.
- Avrilβs Let Go is a pop masterpiece, but each of her follow-up albums were disappointments. βGirlfriend,β however, slays.
- I'm genuinely surprised (and almost impressed) Selena Gomez is still making music.
- Backstreet Boys > N*SYNC
- βStrongerβ is one of Britneyβs most overrated songs. βMe Against the Musicβ is one of her most underrated.
- Mariahβs Charmbracelet is a better album than many give it credit for.
- Little Big Town make far better music than most of their contemporaries. Painkiller is their weakest album though.
- I couldnβt identify most current male country artists if asked to choose them from a lineup, visually or sonically.

- Stay the Same by Joey McIntyre is one of the best songs ever. It's a great song. I love the Tony Moran radio remix of it. - If I could have the voice of one artist, it's gotta be Skylar Astin (or Michael BublΓ©). I would want Michael Buble's voice too. It's so smooth.

Sam Smith and The Weeknd are two extremely boring, overrated artists.
I miss the dance pop trend from the beginning of the decade.
I love a lot of rap remixes of country songs.
Madonna hasn't come out with anything good since "4 Minutes."
"Replay" by Iyaz is one of my favorite pop #1s.
I hate when singers sing in falsetto 99% of the time. Just use your normal voice.
"Fancy" by Iggy Azalea is absolute garbage and I don't see how anyone can like it.
Austin Mahone will become the next big thing by the end of next year.

I miss the dance pop trend from the beginning of the decade. I actually agree with this! Maybe it's because I really got into following music when this trend was in its heyday, but I can't get enough of dance pop songs. I liked songs like Rihanna's "Right Now" or J. Lo's "Live It Up" (dance pop songs that came out when dance pop was basically fading away)

I don't want to go back to that trend, we need to keep moving forward. I would pick the disco trend of the 70's over the dance pop trend any day, and I wasn't even alive back then.

Any trend gets watered down and overdone. The dance pop trend definitely did as well. Personally, it was the one trend I enjoyed as a whole, even when it got over saturated, but I can understand that it wasn't everyone's tastes. Whatever comes next will likely have the same trajectory. Innovative at first, the 'in' thing for a bit, then everyone is on board and it gets overdone until it burns out and the next trend begins.

One In A Million is much better than The Red Album.
Carrie Underwood is overrated. (I still like her tho...)
Streets Of Philadelphia is Bruce's best song.
Kelly Clarkson's voice is masterpiece, but her material is pure garbage.
Janet's best album is janet. The Velvet Rope is annoying and overrated.
Mary J. Blige's My Life album sucks. What's The 411? is the truth.

I don't find disco to be any better than dance-pop or crunk&B. Each genre has some songs I like, but overall they are all on the same level of quality to me.

Oddly enough I enjoyed the crunk&B craze even though it was kind of annoying also, but I still prefer it over the dance pop craze of the late 00's/early 10's, being a fan of rap and R&B kind of does it for me. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed a few songs from that craze, but it got to the point that I really got annoyed and irritated by it that I never wanted to hear it again, plus many of the songs were extremely annoying. Also, I don't like disco too much, but to me I always felt there was more soul and fun to it than dance pop.

- Madonna hasn't had a good song in 15 years and needs to realize she's a legacy act instead of trying to graft herself on to the pop trends of today - Mariah had an amazing voice but all of her albums are mostly filler - Shakira hasn't had a good song since 2005 and is now nothing more than a World Cup halftime show - Bro country isn't awful, but its all cookie cutter and mostly boring - Miley Cyrusis neither a pawn nor running her own show, so it's going to end badly for her - Britney and XTina are both has-beens who are only still around because the people who loved them when they came out 15 years ago are now nostalgic with disposable income - Taylor Swift is the biggest star in the world with absolutely zero star quality - Black artists get shafted on the regular by pop radio and it has nothing to do with the quality of the music

You could've just linked your entire posting history. That would've been more succinct. Just where are you getting at? What's your point?
