Evanescence is horrible and deserves to be viewed on the same level as Creed and Nickleback. Who hurt you? Amy Lee doesn't deserve this slander.

Evanescence is horrible and deserves to be viewed on the same level as Creed and Nickleback. This so much. My Immortal in particular is one of the most vile and awful hits of the 00s. The silver lining on them is that their time as a major force was not very long, especially if we're using Nickelback as a comparison tool.

Plus its rep is a little bit slandered by a certain story that took its name from it.

"Umbrella" feels like it should've at least been a 10 weeker.

The first part of King's Dead is complete ass but the second part is better than DNA's second part.

Janet Jackson is massively overrated and deserved a lot of the hate that Britney Spears has gotten since the beginning of her career.
Janet's whole career is due to nepotism. She can't sing she has no range (any one of her sisters could have sang her songs), had a mostly processed voice, never choreographed a routine and never wrote any of her songs; her acclaimed work was written either by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis or her ex-husband Rene Elizondo, who was her ghostwriter from Rythmn Nation to Velvet Rope.
And of course she has lip synced her performances almost as much as Britney Spears for her whole career.
And if people say, well Britney Spears was influenced by Janet Jackson, that all means Janet Jackson led to the 'dissolving' of the music industry.

Britney and Janet are both good examples of how far you can go in music despite having a limited voice. Entertaining live shows and videos, (some) interesting songs, media presence, personal stories and lives that intrigue (if not always in a good way), and a willingness to evolve have served them both well. But when it comes to singing, neither voice is or ever was all that great, so on record they're really only as good as their production--which in the hands of the right people, like Jam & Lewis or Max Martin, made for some excellent hit records that enabled them to command public and media attention.

I only like two Alanis Morissette songs, Head Over Feet and Uninvited. The reason is because I can't stand her voice at all when she sings outside of a relatively limited range. You Outta Know, Ironic, You Learn etc. are all incredibly annoying to me purely because of her voice.

I don't understand all the Despacito slander and think that it has been extremely overreacted to, the overplay notwithstanding. I have yet to see a credible argument for why it's so awful other than "because Justin Bieber" or the fact that "he can't sing it live". Like, come on, people. It's forgettable at worst. Heck, I've seen several comments from people saying that the song blows, but I actually have yet to see it on any worst list video, which I'll admit I find fascinating.

"For You" is the best 50 Shades song. I nearly agree, but LMLYD is better.

SexyBack is amazing and I will not hear otherwise. God's Plan is also pretty good.
On the negative side though, Feel It Still and Havana aren't very good. Feel It Still, because of overplay and Havana, because of a blend of overplay and the fact that I don't really like Camila's voice.

If a 50 Shades link couldn't lead to a US breakout for Rita, nothing else will.

Rita Ora is absolutely, the most average artist ever. Not good, or bad, just AVERAGE. IWNLYD is still her best song though.
