I haven't seen any audio for this yet, but it's registered on Mediabase - Andy Grammer's getting a remix of pop hit "Honey, I'm Good" with Eli Young Band for country radio. S-Curve and Valory are promoting it; pop promo was done by S-Curve/Hollywood. (Thanks to avalyn for the heads-up via a tweet in the "Sugar" thread.) Writers: Andy Grammer, Nolan Sipe Label: S-Curve/Valory Impact Date: July 27

I actually like this song a lot, and think that it could've easily crossed over to country without any sort of remix. It'll be interesting to hear what this sounds like with the EYB added onto it.
R&R has it listed as going for adds on July 27th, but just Andy Grammer (no mention of the EYB on their site).

I would have to think the Valory promotion team is handling the bulk of this country radio promotion but I guess that all depends on how much EYB is featured on this song. I would have to guess it's fairly substantial and that Valory and Andy's label see an opportunity to get a cross-over hit. This unfortunately just seems almost desperate on BMLG's part and I can't believe the same group who gave us songs like "When It Rains", "Always The Love Songs", "Guinevere" and "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" have in less than five months, given us a generic borderline sell-out in "Turn It On", and now a collaboration on a pop radio single.

I'm even more disheartened by the news that EYB wasn't dropped by Big Machine now if this is what they're releasing next. Ugh, I wish this song would just go away.

I like the song for what it is, but I am definitely getting tired of it. It's not a song I want to hear constantly on the radio and that's exactly what's happening. So I could do without this happening.

I actually like this song a good bit, but it should stay away from country radio imho.

I hope this and that Bitch Better Have My Money rock remix (see my thread) don't screw up the charts. Seriously.

Now Andy can have a 20 week #1 on the Hot Country Songs Chart. Yay! Note the sarcasm.

Seeing this as someone from a city in Texas where EYB always (and I do mean always- really wish I didn't take those days for granted lol) played before they hit it "big" I really can't believe I'm seeing this from them. Genuinely would not have expected this from them back then.
I do listen to pop music and do enjoy andy's song but I'm sitting here like, "really fellas? really?"

Was serviced this and I've loved this song for a while and it's interesting to hear this with slight "country" instrumentals added (steel guitars in the mix) and Mike Eli taking the second verse. It feels a little strange as a duet but I can see this being a moderate hit on the country chart. But I can see country fans/radio not wanting it at all. It'll be an interesting test and might/could make EYB tough to have any future hits on country radio. Mike Eli also sounds different here.

Will this duet be added to the chart run of the song on the Hot 100?

LOL
Remember when some COUNTRY songs used to be able to be played on POP stations because they were "poppy" enough?
I guess today's the day that some POP songs can play on COUNTRY stations because they are "country" enough.
Is this seriously a joke?
I'd say that's about all for me folks, I'll be limited now to my own Spotify playlists and maybe some Pandora to get some new tunes. It's been nice chatting with ya'll but country radio is dead to me.

I'll admit though, this will be a test to see how far radio can be pushed with the Pop boundaries.

God, what exactly went so horribly awry here with EYB? I'm sure "Turn It On" was the label's decision to make them more viable on today's radio and the changing of their sound was more business than anything else, but after "Turn It On" flamed out, I was either expecting more of the same ("Turn It On') when they were shifted to Valory, or that they would get back to their great past music again. I didn't expect them to be collaborating on a pop song that will be serviced to country radio. I thought "Turn It On" was grating, but this song has already gotten old for me and I rarely listen to pop radio; now I get to listen to it in sizable doses on country radio. I'm not sure where Eli Young Band's future lies but their past two singles leave me about as pessimistic about their music as any artist right now. I know many here probably love "Honey, I'm Good" and I know the logic behind trying to send this song to country radio (from Andy's label and Valory), but there's little about this song that is country to me. Eli Young Band were so reliable from 2005 through 2014 but I'm in awe of what they have become on country radio in 2015. I'm hopeful this will do little on the charts, but I've been let down before.

I don't hate the song (although it's probably andy grammer's weakest single) but the remix just doesn't work at all

I've always loved Andy and I loved this song initially, but the radio overkill has really caused me to grow tired of it quickly. I usually can stand radio overkill but this song just gets old after repeated listens.
Doubt this will do much here but who knows honestly.

I know why it was done (for Country radio) but the change of "you've got that ass" to "you've got that smile" almost completely ruins the flow of ths song for me.

This is Andy's worst single by far. EYB's edit adds nothing.

I used to love the Eli Young Band, but I think their label was trying to fix something that simply wasn't broken to begin with by sending out "Turn It On" and it's replicates from that EP (which deservedly underperformed) and now this. I don't mind HIG as it is, but I'm not even gonna listen to this country remix because I don't really think it needs one. Pop radio is quirky enough as it is, and it'll just get quirkier as time goes on (I honestly think that social media is choosing what will smash instead of letting the music speak for itself) as far as that goes, but if these labels don't get their feet back on the ground quickly, then it wouldn't surprise me if country radio ends up in the same boat as pop radio. Edit: I'm aware that they've changed labels, but this is not a promising start for them.

Just when I think the awful state of county can't surprise me any more something has to go and leave me speechless. What the hell has Borchetta & co. done to EYB? Turn It On was awful enough, but joining a full on pop song? I'm not familiar with this song or Mr. Grammar, and it seems like a nice enough pop song, but EYB has no business on this at all. Mike Eli has such a great voice, but you can hardly even pick it out over the heavy pop production. Surely this isn't going to be their first single for Valory? If so, their career may well be over. With a full on push I can see this doing decent, better than Turn It On - but I have to believe this will be the last straw with EYB's loyal red dirt/Texas base. I'm still hopeful they have another Life At Best in them, but garbage like this isn't making me hopeful at all.

If someone asked me if I wanted to hear that remix again, I'd be like aw HELL naw honey I'm GOOD. It's really awful. I figured I wouldn't like it, but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad.
