Like I said I am looking forward too this. Cassadee has a good voice but I hope she tones it fown. She's no Carrie or Mickey. I see her range in more of like Kelsea Ballerini or Jana Kramer. But I do believe that this'll help her gain some momentum. I want more women in country and it feels like the tides ate slowly turning.

But I do believe that this'll help her gain some momentum. I want more women in country and it feels like the tides ate slowly turning. I would actually describe her as being very similar to Carrie and Mickey! All three of them have extremely powerful high ranges. They all frequently demonstrate that they can easily sing notes that previous vocal powerhouses like Reba, Sara, and even Martina never hit, even in their younger days. She may sound screechy to you sometimes, but that does not mean she has a range similar to Kelsea and Jana and is trying too hard to sing higher than she is capable. I think if she tried to limit herself to her lower register, that could do more harm than good to her voice. A range like hers is a huge gift, and she should not squander it! Of course, I can definitely agree that she could develop her high range a little bit more to take some of the edge off :) I just think that saying she has a limited range is a huge misstatement. As far as this song goes, I really like what I hear based on that live performance. I was hoping she might tone down the production a little on her next album, but it sounds like this song is going to be as bombastic as ever, which I am a little disappointed by. That being said, it is a wonderful song, and I could actually see it being a hit for her! Especially since the door does seem to be opening slightly more for newer female artists. I am eager to hear the studio version!

I do think her voice is better high pitch but she needs to tone down the production as it often felt overproduced my main criticism of her last album. She often got lost vocally in a production that wouldn't stop.

It hits PlayMPe the same day it goes to iTunes. Chances are it'll chart before then, especially if they get a 24 hour iHeartMedia deal on Friday for it.

Yeah, that add date should be more like August 8th. rsmatto you think there is a shot Cassadee gets an IHeartMedia deal?

I give her a 10% chance of it happening. Wasting All These Tears was only a minor hit. What Cassadee does have slight name recognition and they do give these regularly. So who knows.

Yeah, that add date should be more like August 8th. rsmatto you think there is a shot Cassadee gets an IHeartMedia deal? I really don't think Cassadde can get a mini iHeartMedia deal. I mean it's possible, but she's had one hit single and I don't think iHeartMedia will want to do a deal for an artist with one hit single. As for the add date being so far out, August 8th is a Saturday, so if it does fall on the 8th day of the month, then September is it (September 7th is actually Monday but that's Labor Day). Cassadee announced this via her own twitter and facebook, so the add date being so far away doesn't really surprise me. It will give her and Republic plenty of time to work radio and try and maximize her chances of some significant adds come the impact date.

She often got lost vocally in a production that wouldn't stop. I completely agree with you about her production. While I do love belting, I would love to hear her take on something where she doesn't have to scream over the music! That was the best part about "Eleven" on her last album. It is too bad that one didn't get to be a single. I would love to see her release something like that as a single at some point.

Adds date is a little far out, but I am so ready for this! Glad that it'll be out sooner for the fans even if it's not going to get going at radio for awhile. Cassadee's one of my fave female newcomers (love her debut record so, so much) and I've been really looking forward to new music from her for a long time, so it's awesome that the wait is almost over!

I don't consider myself a Cassadee Pope fan, but I'm with everybody who's rooting for more females on radio and everything, so it's nice to see her coming back! That being said, I'm not crazy about this song. The melody is quite catchy and memorable, but I think the lyrics are too generic. Let's see how the production turns out to be in the studio version and how well she'll do at radio, leading to her album being released soon! I'm dying to hear the full version of Let Me Go that she released a snippet. Love that song.

Sorry should have made that clear

I really don't get their release strategy for this. iTunes at end of July, but not sending it for adds until beginning of September?
Seems kinda messy.

I really don't get their release strategy for this. iTunes at end of July, but not sending it for adds until beginning of September? Seems kinda messy. It's the opposite of messy. Republic will send this out a few weeks before the add date in hopes for some initial sales and buzz for radio to take notice before impact day. The giant ads in Aircheck and Billboard are a sign that Republic is very serious about setting "I Am Invincible" up for the best possible success. Now whether that happens is another thing all together but I can assure you that this is not a messy strategy. Sending a song to iTunes a few weeks before the add date is not that unusual. Perhaps the end of August would have been what I predicted (not September 8th), but I'm not that caught up over it personally.

Hmmm... this is kinda what I expected. Very Carrie Underwood-ish. Maybe a little too pop-sounding for my personal taste. Nevertheless, Cassadee has a wonderful voice and great range.

They've been making sure these are really new new artists. Like Sam Hunt Raelynn Michael Ray and Cam. I'd love for Cassadee to get it but I wouldn't feel to sure.

This may be even poppier than anything on her first album... But I am in love with her range on this song! And with the subject matter, I can definitely see it connecting strongly with her female fans. Of course it could be for males too, except she says, "For my girls" in the intro But I could see it being a hit kinda like "This One's For The Girls" for her.

Love this. The melody in the chorus is A+ and I've always really liked the tone of her voice. She's a very good singer. A bit pitchy/shaky perhaps, but I still enjoy her voice. This is definitely a strong lead single and I would like for it to do well for her. I loved "Wasting All These Tears" as well.
