Randy Houser had a song called "Top Of The World" on his How Country Feels album. I doubt this is the same one, but that's the first thought that came to my mind.

^ Well if it's a cover of any of those songs, it'll at least be a better lead single than either one of his last two (though admittedly, I have personal reasons for liking "Truck Yeah")

Hoping this is a serious song and not like "Truck Yeah" or "Lookin' For That Girl"

Dissapointed they're not releasing anymore singles from SHT, but definitely looking forward to this.

It was a great album stacked with potential singles (literally - it was quite a long album, lol) and the era isn't that old... but I'm also okay with them moving on because I'm a bit excited about new music and the title of this song already has me fairly hopeful that this will be better than his last two leads.

Does he have to release an album every year or something. I mean it feels like in five years he's had as many albums, and someone like Carrie we wait 3 years. Am I just imagining that or does he release every year.

Am I just imagining that or does he release every year. Tim McGraw was still with Curb Records five years ago. I'm kind of surprised of the reaction that the Sundown Heaven Town era ended considering McGraw wanted new music out THIS year.

Is he still releasing a new album every year, because it feels like it.

Is he still releasing a new album every year, because it feels like it. Since he's been with Big Machine, he's released a new album every year. Two Lanes of Freedom in 2013, Sundown Heaven Town in 2014, and the upcoming album in 2015. I read that he'd like it to be released sometime in December so I'm guessing a 2015 date is pretty set. When he was with Curb, he had a 3 year hiatus between Southern Voice and Emotional Traffic because the label screwed the fans over with another Greatest Hits album. I think Big Machine is giving Tim the freedom to make the music he wants and in a timespan he feels is necessary. I also think he has the drive to make new music and because he's a veteran, Big Machine is giving him more freedom to make the music he wants.

Since 2010, Tim McGraw has released seven CDs (three studio and four greatest hits). They are: 1. Number One Hits-2010 2. Emotional Traffic-2012 3. Tim McGraw & Friends-2013 4. Love Story-2014 5. Two Lanes Of Freedom-2013 6. Sundown Heaven Town-2014 7. 35 Biggest Hits-2015

I really would have liked to seen "Lincoln continentials and cadillacs" or "keep on truckin" released before they finished up this album. those were my two hands down favorites.

On the one hand, I wanted a couple more singles from the last album (preferrably, "Overrated" and "Portland, Maine", but "Lincoln Continentals and Cadillacs" or "Dust" would have worked too).
But, the upside is that we should get a new album before the end of the year. His last two have been great, so I have high hopes for his next album.

When are we likely to have audio of the song? Should it go up on iTunes before the add date for radio?

Perhaps this does get released to iTunes or some other place prior to its radio release (albeit, a very short window in all likelihood if that's the case) but I suspect we'll be getting an iHeartRadio premiere with spins every hour, and that will essentially be its debut.

Maybe Tim's just catching up from years of being held back. I say go for it.

I personally don't mind that Tim has been more prolific with his albums, especially when his last 3 have been surprisingly solid so far. I'm sure that he'll deliver again

At first I was bummed that the SHT era was done, but I am eager to hear the new music. I hope it's more along the lines of his last few - and everything but a carbon copy of "Lookin' For That Girl." Let's start this era off with a #1, shall we?!

As happy as I am to hear about new music from an upcoming album from him, I was hoping for at least one more single from Sundown Heaven Town. Really was hoping they would've released "City Lights" as the final single. I thought that song would've been a #1 hit for him. Oh well! Still excited to hear this next week though!

I think Overrated and City Lights could have both been big time hits. I'm by no means upset about new Tim music, as long as it's a little better than his last two lead singles. Based on the fact that Lookin' for that Girl was the only crap song on the last album, I'm guessing (and hoping) this new stuff will be more like the other three singles.

I'm looking forward to this! I'm just hoping there will be no more "Bro Country" songs from Tim.
