Just a little over 24 hours left to submit, and we already have more entries than last time! The battle for #1 is a lot closer this time around, and there have been at least 10 more unique tracks suggested compared to the FF survey

Pulse Top 10s #2 - Green Day - Results
I'm back again for the results of our second vote! A pretty large majority of you wanted the results to continue to be released this way, so here they are. This time around, we had 23 responses, two more than the Foo Fighters vote, as well as five new posters who hadn't entered before. The suggested songs were more varied as well, with 58 different songs (compared against the 45 from the FF) picked by the posters. The battle for first place was much closer, and it changed several times as the votes came in. I'll announce the winner of the poll for our third vote on Tuesday, August 18th. As a side note, some people wrote "Brain Stew", and some wrote "Brain Stew/Jaded". Thankfully, no one suggested just "Jaded" so I combined all of those votes into one single entry. surprised by WICA's #1 placement, for comparison www.thetoptens.com/best-green-day-songs/ has it only at #10 and our Foo Fighters list was pretty similar to that site's top ten. BOBD and Basketcase looks to have higher average rankings than WICA, but are on fewer people's lists overall so WICA deservingly gets #1.

Jeebus. The entire Top 15 is singles. Not that I'm surprised, but there are a heck of a lot of good album tracks too :)
I'm actually surprised and am glad to see "Jesus of Suburbia" that high up. Everything else looks pretty much like I expected. Nice list, guys!

Look at all of those JoS #1 votes. Damn straight.
Rest of the list went about as I expected. "When I Come Around" at #1 doesn't surprise me, actually. I'm more surprised that BOBD finished higher than "Basket Case", if anything. I was sure the top 2 would be "When I Come Around" and "Basket Case", in no particular order.
And as always, I love the work you continue to put into this project, webinator!

Fuck, completely forgot about this.
Oh well, I'll participate in the next round (unless it's someone I don't like)

I never put an artist to do next, but I'd be down for Shinedown.

My #1 was #4, not bad. I'm surprised at the popularity of 21st Breakdown but maybe that's my personal bias. Love Red's picks for next artist.

interesting what-if for the Oscar nerds, if hypothetically instead we used the Oscar system of tabulation of 1 vote per person elimination style based on #1 votes re-ranking , the results would be very different: 1 Blvd of Broken Dreams (11 votes in 4th round) 2 Basket Case (eliminated 4th round, 9 votes) 3 Jesus of Suburbia (eliminated 3rd round, 5 votes) 4 Holiday (eliminated 2nd round, 3 votes) 4 When I Come Around 6 good Riddance (eliminated 1st round, 1 vote) 6 Minority 6 American Idiot 6 Brain Stew 6 know your enemy

For foo fighters, Oscar-voting style would've been 1 ever long - 7+4+2 2 the pretender - 3+1+4 (3rd round elimination) 3 best of you 3+0 (2nd round elimination) 3 learn to fly 2+ 1 5 aurora 1 5 let it die 1 5 monkey wrench 1 5 walk 1 5 something from nothing 1 5 all my life 1

Surprised to see When I Come Around at #1. I was expecting American Idiot, Boulevard, Longview, or Basket Case. Glad to see Jesus of Suburbia (my #1) so high up.

Very late, but I finally listened to Everlong and All My Life and now feel a bit guilty for not putting them in the previous game. Here's my updated FF list (I won't submit this):
1. Everlong 2. Best of You 3. The Pretender 4. All My Life 5. Wheels 6. Times Like These 7. Walk 8. Something from Nothing 9. Big Me 10. These Days

Out of all the songs the Foos have released, I'll honestly never understand why Everlong is considered the best. Don't get me wrong, it's a great fuckin' song, but they've made better.

Out of all the songs the Foos have released, I'll honestly never understand why Everlong is considered the best. Don't get me wrong, it's a great f**kin' song, but they've made better. I've always concidered "Everlong" to be the song Nirvana shoulda written. It defines straight balls out Alternative rock. While many of Foo Fighters' other songs; sound heavier, on the Rock Roots vibe. At least that's how I view it. The Green day results turned out better than I expected. I thought "long View" would've ended up higher, but still a stellar list of songs.

After all the votes have been calculated, 56.5% or 13 of you placed Linkin Park in your set of three artists, so they earn the coveted 3rd vote!
Also, there were several artists that were getting a bunch of support to be added to the poll, but I didn't have enough spots to put them all in. So I'll be adding a new rule to the poll every week. The bottom 2 artists over the last few polls will be removed along with the winner of the poll, to free up three new spots each week.
This week, AC/DC and Depeche Mode were removed for their poor performance in past polls. If you want them to make a return, just suggest them in the three open spots at the bottom of the poll. The Offspring, Incubus, and Queens of the Stone Age join the vote. Hope that clears everything up, just post here if you have any questions. Here's the poll for Linkin Park, which closes at midnight EST on Tuesday, August 25th.

Well, as a fan of LP's since "One Step Closer" was first released, this was difficult. Very, very difficult.

Linkin Park is my favorite band, so in reality all of their songs are on top of my list! One of the hardest things I had to do!
