Speaking of two Nash Icon singles out right now, when are we getting Martina McBride's debut? Probably Q1 of 2016. I hope so. Didn't she sign BEFORE Ronnie Dunn and he is on the chart now?

I hope so. Didn't she sign BEFORE Ronnie Dunn and he is on the chart now? Every situation is different. Perhaps it's Martina who wanted to wait, coupled with the fact Ronnie was ready to go with new music. Martina just signed a management deal with Red Light this past week, so judging by her studio work and the timing of this signing, I think a January or February single release is what we're looking at.

Martina just signed a management deal with Red Light this past week, so judging by her studio work and the timing of this signing, I think a January or February single release is what we're looking at. Not to mention that Martina has always been one of the sloooooooowest artists out there when it comes to making new music. She'll promise new music soon, and say she's hitting the studio, and then you don't hear anything else for like a year and a half But honestly, I hope you are right and that she waits a few more months. She is not likely to have a ton of radio success anymore given the label she is on, but she will certainly fare a heck of a lot better if she waits until this chart clog calms down a little bit. Right now I am most eager to hear a definitive date for the next Nash Icon album release! There seemed to be quite a bit of buzz surrounding Reba's new album, but who knows how much of that was thanks to the label and how much was thanks to Reba's name. I get the sense that Nash Icon is going to do whatever it can to generate sales for its artists though, so it will be interesting to see how well Ronnie Dunn and Hank, Jr.'s albums fare on this label. Will they be able to outsell or match their previous releases? When Martina comes out with new music I think she will be easier to market, because she is the closest thing they have to a relevant artist, but Ronnie and Hank may be pretty tough sells in terms of trying to get new people to listen to their music without any radio success... It can be really hard to bring in new fans once you reach a certain age and have been off the charts for so long...

Hank Jr is likely next. Ronnie in early 2016.
Hank Jr. can still sell decently enough with his base of fans (especially if he gets political, which I fully expect him to).

I think what Reba needs to help her album sales and radio airplay is to have an official tour supporting the album. A tour would reach audiences outside of the Culumus markets and could garner fan support to call the iheart radio and CBS stations for request. I think it would be very successful for Reba to do another "Girls night out tour" like she did in the past. Martina McBride and Jennifer Nettles would be perfect tour mates, especially since Jennifer has now signed with Big Machine.

I don't think Reba is interested in touring anymore. Just playing occasional dates. Dolly went over a decade without touring.

Well today has been interesting...Reba tweeted me! Here is the conversation. She wants "Horses" as the next single! BigMachine @bigmachine · Oct 12 Our #SongSpotlight is #JustLikeThemHorses from @reba's album #LoveSomebody! Listen here: smarturl.it/LoveSomebody Jonathan @scotty1dfan · Oct 12 @bigmachine @reba That needs to be the 3rd single with a powerful video to go with it! Reba @reba · 8h8 hours ago @scotty1dfan @bigmachine i'm so glad you think that. I agree (And with that tweet when I got it at work, I freaked out for a minute, got some stares, don't regret it! lol!)

I'm all for a "Just Like Them Horses" release now. Initially, I thought that it should be a later single (fourth or fifth), but now since it's pretty evident that most radio stations aren't going to play her (due to a combo of age, gender, and label affiliation), she might as well release 'classic' Reba songs.

It's more like radio conglomerate affiliation. I really think that Valory's promotion staff and Reba's team did a great job getting non-Cumulus stations to add "Going Out Like That" but with the label release momentum gone and this being the second single in a competitive chart, iHeartMedia and CBS stations aren't going anywhere near "Until The Don't Love You" and "Just Like Them Horses" will suffer the same fate, unfortunately.

I know that this has not done much but, do we think that it will move up anymore or is this pretty much it?

Much better week this week. "Until They Don't Love You" gains over 100K in AI, and rebounds 53-50*.

Well, there's a little hope after all! I still wonder if she will in fact release a third single. The comment she made on Twitter was probably what she hoped, but that isn't guarantee that there will be a 3rd single if They Don't Love You keeps charting this low. Hopefully it will go into higher rotation on the stations it is actually being played on.

It's amazing how Reba can make any song incredible, even if she does mess up some words.

I'm really surprised to see this off the charts this week, especially after rebounding last week. She must have lost over 700K, which makes me think that maybe the single was pulled (possibly something to do with the "Just Like Them Horses" tweets?).

Yeah, it looks as if Nash Icon is done with this since "Until They Don't Love You" had its spins drastically pulled back this week. Many Cumulus stations cut its spin totals in half, from the previous week.

Oh well, they might as well go with "Just Like Them Horses" now, since she's clearly not going to get another radio hot from this album.

I only wish Jennifer Nettles' situation could have been dealt with before they released this, because then "Enough" could have come second and this next. Now that Reba and her are essentially labelmates, releasing "Enough" would have been much easier. Jennifer has her own release coming now, which I assume negates any chances "Enough" had. I hope they continue releasing music from this album, though - why not? "Just Like Them Horses," "That's When I Knew," and "Love Somebody" are appealing for different reasons, why not have some more Nash Icon listeners hear them?

Yeah, it's really unfortunate what happened with "Enough". That coming second with both Reba and Jennifer giving it their full attention could have turned into a hit, which would have given UTDLY more of a boost. I hope they keep releasing singles, too. They really don't have anything to lose, since I imagine promotion costs are minimal, considering the radio affiliation.

What, I cannot believe this is looking to be done already! With how long "Goin' Out Like That" was out, I figured Nash Icon was going for 6+ month chart runs despite their songs not doing hardly anything.
However, as disappointed as I am that this song did not do nearly as well as GOLT, I will say that this type of release is what I am hoping Nash Icon sticks to. If all of Reba's singles were to peak for 6+ months, there would be no chance at all of her ever getting 4 or 5 singles off the album, even if she does not have new music ready in a couple years. But if the label only lets their songs chart for 3 or so months and then pulls the plug, an artist could easily get 3 1/2 hits per year assuming there is only a little bit of lag time between singles. With a more rapid release cycle, there would not really be a reason to not release at least 4 singles, or maybe even 5, from an album.
Since Ronnie's song is still doing alright, maybe Nash Icon is planning to let the lead singles from their albums chart as absolutely long as possible and get as high as possible, and then spend less time on subsequent singles. There is not quite enough data yet to verify any sort of pattern, but it will be interesting to see if that is how it goes.

Last Reba McEntire single to do worse was Love Needs A Holiday from 2006 (#60). I wonder if Nash Icon will release a third single.

They need to pool their resources among the labels, release "Enough", and get two of their females back on the radio in one fell swoop.
Jennifer can hold off on whatever pos single she was planning to come with anyway.
