Relistening to IASF, I think it gets kind of a bad rep. Definitely her weakest solo album but even the songs people always shit on like Satellite, Disappear, etc. are good. The strength of her voice and delivery elevates what would have otherwise been bland cheesy Becky pop.
I love IASF. I just didn't care for all the cheap beat claps and synths on the ballads. Like "If I Were a Boy" would have been better with drums instead of beat claps. Just my opinion. I definitely think she designed that album to showcase her vocals.
I suppose that is true to some extent, but I gonna need some more top 10s. I wanna see home girl win. 7/11 is my jam, but if the tracks on her new album are like that then I don't see her singles doing too hot on the charts.
Okay so HDD just announced that Sony/Columbia is supposed to be releasing Beys new album before the year is up! I feel like they're going to pull another IASF gig again (1 month- single, video, album) and I'm ready! Bey shot a video a couple months back, some shoe designer she worked with was talking about the video and shoes, plus she's been in the studio all year so I'm R E A D Y!
I just they pick the right singles tho, if this is true, cause last era single choices... bunny, NO! especially with Adele in the mix again, everything has to be planned out perfect.

I agree. Those songs you mentioned, Ave Maria, That's Why You're Beautiful, etc. are very well-rendered, produced, and sung. They might not be to everyone's tastes but I have always enjoyed them.
In other news, ET is REACHING for that lip-read. I watched it 10 times and did not see Stop It. MAYBE Stop Please but even that is a stretch.
After that tidal ratchetness and her found love of embracing the whore and sluts of America (Drunk In Love. Partition/Yoncé, Blow/Cherry, 7/11)...I feel like this album might be titled..(wait for it)..: "I AM.. YONCÉ". Bey has definitely found someone to replace Sasha, RIP.

I'll take an album of ratchet stuff (and would not mind it composing a chunk of her next album) any day over some of the tepid and tasteless Whole Foods buffet soundtracks she did in the 00s.

I think her new album is going to be like that any way, I'm so-so about it. I mean...here my thing (JUST MY OPINION) "Yoncé" is cool sometimes but she's not half as fierce & sexy, yet still classy as "Sasha", Yoncé is more off a "hoe". (Basically, I don't like this hoe that Beyonce has been acting as since giving birth to her child, I like the Beyoncé that was shutting all the other classes hoes down)

Beyonce's music catalog has 2 piles of crap for me. One is the dull plodding croonfails on her debut and the other is the ill advised 70s Olivia Newton John AC shit on her third. Those two, and some of the re-release stuff from B'Day (original is perfect) aside, she's finally started to really carve an adventurous route since splitting from Matthew.
I do think it's a bit funny how people try to build like she's engineered this solely herself when Kanye's influence has been seeping through her more and more as the past 5 or so years have unfolded, but it's whatever. I don't think her "no press" policy is going to last forever either.
Lol, Not sad at all cause I don't, but I'm blind to how you got I don't like all woman from me stating that I don't like Beyonce acting as a 34 year old whore whos whorish ways were fermly established after "the joy of child birth" and has played the role of her "new imagine". But okay.

What no press policy? She just didn't feel like doing interviews for awhile. She has that right. A lot more artists should take some pages out of her book, IMO. She's created this aura of exclusivity and anonymity while still being extremely accessible. The media is so dramatic when it comes to Beyonce. She probably reads that stuff cracking up. She just did a full interview with BEAT magazine where she said "Jugg" by Fetty Wap is stuck in her head, talked about what she likes to do on Sundays, talked about success vs. fear, and told us what she likes on her pizza. LOL.
Anywho...
B posted another video promoting the TIDAL X performance with Nicki that's exclusively on TIDAL. She flipped "Darling Nikki" by Prince. Funny.

How sick would it be for Bey and Nicki to drop their Watch The Throne. I think that would be smart timing right now and it hasn't been done before, in recent memory, by two headlining female acts. You want to blow Quarter 4 out of the water, that's how you would do it.

...naw that's okay. Nicki is actually basic compared to alit of unsigned and signed raplers. Hype is a motherfucker!
