You can have a taste of Jewel's country music at Jewel's Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/jewel). There are 3 clips there. I think Stronger Woman is a hit waiting to happen. Everything is a song she co-wrote with Joe Firstman and they used to sing it together. It sounds veeeery different that what I'd expect (I'd expect a huge ballad). I don't know what I think of it just yet (just because I used to like the live version so much...). I Do sounds really good, the production is kinda 80's, but well done. I think they should go with Stronger Woman first, but they seem to want to go with I Do... Let's see!

Willie has been moved up, or that date was misreported. The Kenny Chesney/Buddy Cannon produced album "Moment of Forever" will come out on January 29th.

At least Alan's album is not being pushed back because an underperforming lead single. He probably just wanted more time to prep the album, plus this way the song should be high on the charts at the release date. Maybe the writers strike will be over as well, so he is able to promote the album on television.

An A J update from his site.
SUPERSTAR ALAN JACKSON TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM, GOOD TIME, ON MARCH 4
New Disc Reunites Jackson with Longtime Producer, Keith Stegall, and Marks the First Time Jackson Has Been the Sole Writer on an Entire Album [/u] First Single, “Small Town Southern Man,” Climbing the Charts Fast
NASHVILLE, TN – Superstar Alan Jackson is currently putting the finishing touches on Good Time, his new Arista Nashville album, slated for release on March 4, 2008. The Jackson-penned “Small Town Southern Man” is the disc’s first single, and after only five weeks on the charts, it’s fast become a country radio smash and the youngest record inside the Billboard country airplay Top 30.
After releasing not one, but two chart-topping albums in 2006 (the multi-award winning inspirational collection, Precious Memories, and the acclaimed, Grammy-nominated Like Red on a Rose), Good Time returns the spotlight to Jackson as a songwriter, as well as a vocalist. The man who wrote 21 of his 31 #1 singles is the sole writer on all of the songs on Good Time, marking the first Jackson album to be written entirely by him

Dang dang dang dang dang dang dang........ I hate to agree with your statement. But this does seem like the end for them. I really hope they get picked up by an indie label. I don't care if they get radio support or not. I just want some music from them.

WOW...MCA is sure trying to milk Trisha for all they can since she has a new home. This is messed up. I don't remember who dropped whom but given the years she devoted to them, I find it disappointing that that they're doing this, assuming it is without her blessing. I wonder if her lackluster sales from her new cd is a result of the MCA release shortly before. This certainly won't help things.

I can't see that being the reason why since MCA released a GH collection right before HHPL came out. And no one dropped anyone, Trisha's contract was up and she just decided that having worked with Scott Borchetta when her career first began that she would be better suited at his label.

A report published by UMG Spain, highlighting major releases for the 2008 season, lists superstar Shania Twain as releasing her highly-anticipated album in May. The report states, "After five years without a studio album release, the world-best seller is back with an all-new album." The album is slated for a May 13 release date. No title or further information has been given. Due to the Christmas and New Year holidays, representatives at UMG Nashville were immediately unavailable for comment. --Country On-Demand
