This is going for adds on Alt? Oh boy. Generally, I don't mind things crossing over from Triple A, but I hope this stays over there. This sounds like a local artist that would be played on the Gumbo Shop on 92 ZEW that would prompt me to change the channel (nothing against local artists, I just don't like this sound).

I don't mind this charting on Alt at all. It's really catchy. Boring isn't a factor. The worst that could happen is this gong to #1.

Why is this blowing up? It's #27 on iTunes right now. It's growing on me, too...

This has a very interesting sound that I can definitely dig. Something completely different on the charts.

Great song! I love it! It reminds me a lot of "Rebel Rouser" by Duane Eddy.

Why is this blowing up? It's #27 on iTunes right now. It's growing on me, too... It was performed on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night.

At first I was skeptical, but that rockabilly chorus sold me. Great throwback track.

I really like this actually. His vocals are outstanding. That Jimmy Fallon performance was great. Awesome that they got a standing ovation!

Great song! I love it! It reminds me a lot of "Rebel Rouser" by Duane Eddy.Holy crap, that's EXACTLY what I thought when I first listened to this song. I KNEW this sounded somewhat familiar. Anything that reminds me of that song, especially a song made in 2015, gets a thumbs up from me. And Nathaniel Rateliff has a presence to him. Damn.

The chorus is great, but the verses make me cringe - and something about the guy really creeps me out, maybe bc he looks like he hasn't taken a shower in a week

this isn't my cup of tea...BUT...it does sound unique & authentic & it's catchy so I can see this doing well...I probably won't be charting it but I respect the musicianship

I got nothing against it yet, but if the Alt charts start shooting this up the top 5, then it's inevitable for me to start hating this on principal alone.

Honestly, compared to the crap that has been doing really well on the Alt chart lately, this is a breath of fresh air in comparison. If the choice is between, say, Halsey or this for a top 5 Alt run, I'm running with "S.O.B." 10 out of 10 times.

I agree with you on that, but I guess I'm one of the few who get bothered by seeing songs like these on higher chart positions; than say, Breaking Benjamin - "Angels Fall": which would probobly have a better shot at that top 5 , if songs like these just stayed to the AAA territory.

I like this way better than any of the chart entries mentioned in this thread thus far, probably the most unique thing to enter the alternative charts in quite a while. Hope it does well.

Great song with one hell of a chorus. I see this performing similar to J. Roddy and the Heavy Bells, mainly because they both have that deep Southern sound to them.
