The AllAccess recap of the iHeartMedia Summit mentions this as Lovato's second single from her forthcoming project. I'll keep it in here until "Cool For The Summer" is done.

I like it, hope it smashes! (Sounds like it should be PCD's comeback single to me for some reason)

The track is a grower, but I prefer "Cool for the Summer" to be honest. I don't know, but the sax/horns influenced songs seem a little bit overdone now.

It's not bad. I like the finger snapping bit. Compared to her last few singles, this is very weak, though, especially compared to CFTS.

I thought it sounded like Hard Katy Perry. It took a minute for Cool to grow on me but it's one of my favorite songs. This one is not good. I just heard another leak that has a male feature (maybe Jonas?). It might improve with that but I don't like it on first listens.

Why is it so hard for her to secure multiple smashes? Her discography and single releases are so spotty for me. I thought with Cool For Summer (which I love), that she might finally have a a more consistent era for me quality wise.

I'm surprised that so many people don't like this. It goes so hard for a Demi song. The production is totally on-key, it's a total banger! This would've been a perfect track to throw in a rapper (ala Dark Horse).
It's probably good for her to strike while Katy is on break, b/c I can definitely hear the similarities.

oh god lol she's always been a hit or miss for me and probably for alot of other people. This will probably have the same affect as made in the usa had, but MITU was much better then this lmao! NOT GOOD DD LOVATO :(

The lyrics are bad, but I like the rest of the song.

Honestly, I liked it!
I do agree on this being weaker than CFTS though and fun fact: It was produced by Savan Kotecha, Ilya Salmanzadeh and Max Martin.

Well, at least Katy fans should be happy with Demi this era lol. Its ok, but again, dated and generic just like Cool For the Summer.

I hear Katy, Britney, and Christina in this, but it still feels like Demi to me. I also don't find this dated, I personally really like this!

This sounds like a Back To Basics reject mixed with Disney neutering. The horns in particular sounds very cheap.
If the issue with the last album's singles was that her vocals were pushed too far ahead in the mix and she just sounded too loud for the track, this time around it's the opposite. She's being drowned out by the production here (and to a lesser extent CFTS) more than is good.
I think I read somewhere that this was supposed to be the lead single until the label intervened, they were smart to do that.

After hearing this, I agree with many people about this sounding like KP. She is definitely channeling some Katy Perry this era. I can see this being a grower for many people. I remember a lot of people didn't like CFTS when it was first released, now it's loved by many people. Just give it time

It reminds me of "Robot Love" from Allison Iraheta's first album, actually. So I guess in that sense I can hear the 'dated' criticism since Allison's debut was nothing if not a blender of all things pop-rock in 2009. But I really like this anyway! I even find it to have a more immediate quality than CFTS, oddly enough. My one criticism is on the choruses, the mixing needs to be tweaked. The background vocals are being drowned out a little by the instrumentation, and it's those harmonies that can make the song pop the most. I'm hopeful this will at least be another top ten pop hit for her. Dubious as to whether the sales will really be there, she always seems to lag somewhat in that department

This isn't good or bad. I can definitely hear Katy Perry in parts of this song too, but that's okay to me. It sounds like this could be a grower, so that is what I'm going to let it do. Cool For The Summer is a better song compared to this, but this isn't totally the worst of the songs I've heard from Demi.
