Fantastic song, hopefully this means that "Same Old Song" will never see the light of day at Country radio

This is every bit as good as his last single, probably even better. Huge fan and hopefully it's a huge hit.

Really like this song, does this mean any of the songs off the original release of the album probably won't be released (like "17 Again").

Really like this song, does this mean any of the songs off the original release of the album probably won't be released (like "17 Again"). That is what's likely. This single probably won't be leaving the chart (assuming it hits) until early 2016 and by that time they will be approaching two years since the album's release, and over two years since the lead single "Bottoms Up" hit radio -- I doubt BMLG would like to endure yet another chart run from this album. The fact they released a song from the new Platinum edition tells me that the tracks off the original album won't be released and I doubt anymore off this album get released period. I'm expecting the follow-up to "Stone Cold Sober" to be a lead single.

Thanks, I would think some of those songs off the album would've been big hits, but his single chart runs have been a lot slower than I'd think he would be, so moving on after this would make more sense.

Really good song. I need to re-listen to the album. I did a long time ago, but I didn't buy it and remember thinking the songs were on the bland side and tended to blend together. I love Brantley Gilbert though; always have, even before he became really popular.

This is pretty good, but with better production it could have been great. Brantley simply doesn't have the vocals to pull off power ballad, so they have to turn up the guitars on the chorus to cover. Plus the drum loops just completely disrupt the melody - this song is just begging for a strong steel guitar to pull it together. But alas, we get production intended to trick us into thinking this isn't as serious a song as it is.

I'm kind of torn on this one. I really like the song, and appreciate that it's a song of substance that has actual meaning to the artist themself, but I'm kind of worried about how it will perform on radio. Brantley certainly is somebody who won't need to always have #1's to maintain his success, due to his enormous fan base, much like Eric Church and Miranda Lambert. But following up the 40 week charting "One Hell of An Amen" with a true country/rock ballad seems like it could be a recipe for a slow moving song. I knew they were going to go with a new song from the Deluxe edition of the album, but I can't help but think how big "17 Again" could have been. But I give kudos to Brantley for releasing some meatier songs at a time when many choose to release pure fluff.

Too bad not many of his songs feature it. I know Bottoms Up has a few steel guitar fills. Can't really think of any others off the top of my head. Steel guitar isn't really his style since he's more of a rocker.

I like this more than some of Brantley's stuff. But having trouble getting past the album cover at the top of the thread. "Just As I Am" juxtaposed with that photo where he's almost buried in the massive bling just cracks me up

I just hope they decide to push it for a faster chart run than OHOA. If they do, I could see them pulling one more single and then launching his new material for Summer 2016 with new album for fall. Brantley is big enough now that he could be a legit 4Q release.

I would predict this peaks in late winter and if they decide to release one more single from Just As I Am then that single would be released in the spring and would chart the entire summer. I do think SCS is the final single from this album.

Is this doing anything? I still don't see it in Top 50 and it's been almost three weeks since 'most added.'

Is this doing anything? I still don't see it in Top 50 and it's been almost three weeks since 'most added.' It went for adds on Monday the 31st, and then debuted on Billboard the following week (Tuesday the 8th) at #58. On Monday it moved up to #55. It'll probably take a couple more weeks before it cracks the top 50 on either chart -- we've had a really high volume of new releases over the last few weeks, and that looks to continue into early October. Basically, there are too many songs all trying to fit onto the chart right now, and it slows everybody down.

I'm a bit surprised that with his recent track record that BG's songs take so long to build. You'd think he'd be able to break through the clutter at this point, but I get how the format works. I suppose we're looking at a Feb/March peak at this point. Just in time for his new album......

"Stone Cold Sober" jumps five spots to #49 on MB this week; its first appearance in the MB top 50.

Does anyone have any information on why Roughstock is not reporting sales for Just As I Am in their weekly Album Sales Report? Correct me if I am wrong but Just As I Am has to be selling more then 900 copies (a week) these past 3 or 4 weeks. Anyone think Just As I Am will go Platinum anytine soon, or ever? roughstock.com/news/2015/10/39148-top-10-country-albums-chart-october-26-2015

It definitely is selling more than 900 (it sold over 2k and has 920k to date). It'll re-appear there. We don't report on Miranda's this week either. Stuff in the notable section changes from week to week (though recently a few have stayed the same).

I'm so glad Brantley broke away from that Bro Country stuff. Don't get me wrong I do love "Bottoms Up" and "Small Town Throwdown" but I like hearing his more serious songs too.

He has a good amount of great songs, this one right here is one of them. Just as I Am was one of my favorite albums from 2014. After his first single (and after hearing his voice) I wasn't expecting much, but damn, this guy has some *really* good music.

I know you said nothing about his albums, I did. We seem to agree about him as an artist. All good here.
