Pageant Material - Kacey Musgraves (released June 23, 2015)
The Blade - Ashley Monroe (released July 24, 2015)

Tough choice to make but while I think the highs on 'Pageant Material' and 'Start Here' are higher than on 'The Blade' I like the overall consistency of Ashley's album more.
PM has great writing that I get a lot of emotional connection from Kacey, but I don't personally connect to the lyrics as much as Ashley's.
SH has great writing, production and vocals but I don't feel a cohesive album as much as the other two.
TB has all the strengths of both albums at a slightly lesser scale but that consistency is key here for me.

As much as I love Kacey, Pageant Material was a bit of a letdown for me.
Start Here is average. Has a couple of great tracks but overall I'm not impressed.
The Blade is just amazing. ♥ Almost every track blew off my mind.

I'll go w/ Maddie & Tae. Basically by default because I really don't like Pageant Material and am indifferent on The Blade.
