In theory yes, but it's actually not that good.

Excellent choice, the best song on the album. This would have been a smash before the Indie days, but sadly this will probably struggle to make the top 30. The second verse is awesome, and I love the loud siren that blares during the chorus.

One of my favorites on the album, but yeah I doubt it will do that well in today's age as a second single.

Did they just sample Beastie Boys "Kick It" in the intro? Rap killed it for me. Guess "Date Rape" was my one hit wonder for me from them.

This doesn't do much for me. I'll agree with Dr. Indie, Date Rape is probably the only Sublime song I actually like. It's got sick guitar work.

I'm the opposite. I'm a massive Sublime fan. They will probably be one of my top 20 all-time bands until the day I die.

It's hard for me to determine how I really feel for Sublime, since "What I Got", "Santeria", and almost "Wrong Way" have been in "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Even Flow" level rotation for all 16 years of my listening to Alternative era. I love "Doin' Time" no matter how many times I hear it (it's solidly their 4th most played track anyway, and a distant 4th), and only recently I've noticed stations trying to break the monotony by playing "Caress Me Down" and "Date Rape", which I approve, since I'm so tired of hearing those other f***ing songs. I liked "Panic" quite a bit, but stations around here generally elected to ignore that song and keep playing their old, tired hits with their original lineup, which added to the irritation of hearing those old songs. They're definitely an act I could get into, if not for the mass amount of their fanbase who are unemployed and under the influence and it seems like their life mission is to make sure that nobody else who is not exactly like them is permitted to listen to and enjoy Sublime's music. They remind me of Klubba from Donkey Kong Country 2: ...where Sublime's music is inside that golden barrel. I mean, normally that type of resistance would inspire me to try harder to like their material, but it works just the opposite for me. It's kinda like how there's been a number of people who try to convince me that there is musical talent to be found in the act known as Insane Clown Posse. But the thought of listening to them long enough to confirm that, one way or the other, is enough to stop me from ever trying.

Sublime were one of the better 90s alt bands, IMO. Not even close to the level of Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters, but I'd probably put them above Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. "Santeria" remains their best.
I like this, anyways, but I doubt it will do much.

How nice of the Dirty Heads to return the favor for "Lay Me Down." Too bad this song is garbage.

At least 96 spins on Alternative, and that's before the adds date.

Still have no idea how these guys can continue to call themselves "Sublime with Rome" when only one member of the original Sublime is actually in the band, they might as well just get a new name at this point.

I think it's because they still play Sublime's original songs live. Personally, if you've heard of the Sublime cover band called "Badfish," I think they sound more like the original Sublime than Sublime with Rome.
