No offense to Charles who is a great guy who has put out this great song, but did anybody really think someone could have a successful headlining tour with ONE single that isn't even in the top 50? He's brand new...and it's not like Lady A was Brooks and Dunn status where people would probably pay just to go see Kix or Ronnie alone. I do think Charles can tour eventually but geez they kind of rushed that one a bit yeah?

A Miranda Lambert collaboration with Charles Kelley sounds like a good idea to me! I certainly like her voice a helluva lot more than his usual female duet partner.

Well I think Miranda's voice is much inferior to Hillary's.

Well I think Miranda's voice is much inferior to Hillary's. Hillary has one of the most bland, vanilla voices of any female artist in country music, imo. She does alright sometimes and I think she's at her best dueting with Charles but I could never imagine her having ever made it as a solo artist. Also the thought of Hillary doing "The House That Built Me" (for instance)... no.

I feel the exact same way about Miranda. She has a voice that makes me feel like nails on a chalkboard. Almost like Brian Kelley of FGL.IMO Hillary would have been an upgrade on The House That Built Me.

I've never cared for Hillary's voice. Much prefer Miranda's to Hillary's.

The album come out today but I have yet to have a chance to listen to it yet. I do have a few questions though. Does anyone think this song will make it into the top 40? Also how well will the album do in first week? Will the album make it in the top 10 on the country charts?

So, just found out about this. Only know Need You Now by Lady A, but heard The Driver and fell in love. Bought the album today after going through clips briefly.
The ballads FAR surpass the uptempos/more lively tracks.
1. Round In Circles 2. I Wish You Were Here 3. Leaving Nashville 4. The Driver 5. Southern Accents 6. The One Who Gets Me
7. Dancing Around It 8. Your Love 9. Lonely Girl
I am shocked that Chris Stapleton's contribution is easily one of the weakest links in this set. I don't really remember Your Love but it struck me as song from Keith Urban's "Love..." album. Dancing Around sounds like Hall & Oates but isn't bad. I can't believe that's Miranda's voice on I Wish You Were Here because I really don't like her voice...at all. Here, she sounds perfect. It's like she's been taking voice lessons. I would see him in concert, for sure. He's very gifted.

I'll play the rank game (not to derail the thread)
1. "Leaving Nashville" 2. "Southern Accents" 3. "I Wish You Were Here" 4. "The Driver" 5. "The Only One Who Gets Me" 6. "Dancing Around It" (Honestly I really like this as a Pop song) 7. "Your Love" 8. "Round In Circles" 9. "Lonely Girl"

1. "Dancing Around It" (the guitar on this is orgasmic) 2. "The Driver" 3. "Leaving Nashville" 4. "The Only One Who Gets Me" 5. "I Wish You Were Here" 6. "Your Love" 7. "Lonely Girl" 8. "Round In Circles" 9. "Southern Accents"
Really the whole album is outstanding

Not all of you placing "Lonely Girl" toward the bottom... 1. "Dancing Around It" 2. "Leaving Nashville" (probably will move to #1 down the road) 3. "The Driver" 4. "Lonely Girl" 5. "Round In Circles" (this one reminds me weirdly of Taylor Swift's "Style" - I think it's the single-note melody?) 6. "Your Love" 7. "The Only One Who Gets Me" 8. "I Wish You Were Here" 9. "Southern Accents" Not a bad track in the bunch, though. And while we're dragging the thread off-topic, here's my review of it: theshotgunseat.com/charles-kelley-travels-new-territory-with-impressive-solo-debut/

Charles Kelley was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. He performed the Chris Stapleton/Jesse Frasure-penned "Lonely Girl". ellentube.com/videos/0_3r4duazmHe will also be on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight.

I think this one might be finished. It had a pretty big loss today on Mediabase (57 spins, over 100K in AI), and has been treading water for awhile. The next couple of days will be telling I think, whether or not the label will continue to push it.

I hope they send "Lonely Girl" or "Dancing Around It" after this. Sad this didn't do anything because it's outstanding.

'The Driver" is down 127 spins and over 300k in audience since last Sunday, so it'll see a pretty large drop in total Mediabase points tomorrow.

Charles lost 71 spins and 264k in audience today alone. I saw yesterday on Lady Antebellum Wikipedia page (not really a great place to confirm but it's a start), that Lady A is working on their 6th album. I imagine they'll have a new song out either at the CMT awards, or the CMAs.

I'd love it if Charles just stuck solo for awhile since his solo material has been better than anything Lady Antebellum has produced over the past few years.

I thought Lady A was going to be on hiatus for a little while too, so I was surprised when I saw they are touring this summer/fall. Just a small one it looks like.

I was a little surprised this didn't go a bit better. Granted it was a totally unconventional release for radio, but given that it was from someone of Lady A fame and featured Eric Paslay and Dierks Bentley, I did expect a bit better response out of this one. And I too would be a bit surprised to see the Lady Antebellum hiatus end in the near future, but perhaps they'll be more persuaded to get back together sooner since Charles Kelley's solo stint isn't exactly doing much of anything.

"Lonely Girl" got 3 adds today so it's more than likely the next single.
I'm not surprised that this only managed to scrape the top 40 on MB. Radio knows Lady A will be back and that Charles' solo career is more of a side project, similar to how Miranda Lambert is in the Pistol Annies but the PA aren't likely to be a major act at radio since they all do their own thing.

Plus this song is quite radio unfriendly. I'm not really surprised by its performance at all, either.
