They need something that's not a bubblegum pop-rock song. All their songs climb fast and hit a brick wall very fast too. They need something with staying power

So it was killing me what a knockoff this track was to Duran Duran's "Hungry Like The Wolf"

Then I did some research & saw the co-writers..Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor & Roger Taylor

Well now it ALL makes sense...though it'll never be the CLASSIC that "The Wolf" has become...it's not too bad

A Target put the album out a week early somewhere. It's leaked. I won't link anything here. All I'll say is this album is way more rock than I thought it would be. They even have some classical symphony on tracks that remind me of Metallica. Some tracks have a Fall Out Boy vibe. Others sounds like Rock Opera Green Day songs. Overall this album is a complete 180 from the first album. This is real artistic growth.

I'm not going to lie...this is probably one of my LEAST favorite singles--if not least favorite right now from 5SOS to me. This just doesn't scream "HIT" to me either. Hopefully this will grow on me but right now i'm not sold! :(

The whole song and music video was cringe-worthy and obviously awful single they've released to date to be honest. Even "Don't Stop" has some decent and catchy tunes than this. Prediction: 21 - 25 Peak.

I've heard the entire album already and this song isn't even near the ballpark of the great material it has. "Jet Black Heart" needed to be the single now. Songs like "Broken Home" "Vapor" "Waste the Night" "Castaway" would be all huge hits. "Outer Space/Carry On" almost is like a modern Queen track. "Invisible" "Airplanes" "Girl Who Cries Wolf" "San Francisco" are also huge productions. The album actually only has a handful of upbeat songs, most of them are dramatic slow and mid tempos. I like "Hey Everybody" but it really misrepresents what the album is all about musically. They literally choose the worst singles, it's so depressing. "Jet Black Heart" is iconic and should be smashing.

They really do. I still can't believe they released "Good Girls" all over the world except the US got "What I Like About You."

I like "Hey Everybody." But it's nothing special. "Jet Black Heart" is just one of many epic genius songs on the album that deserve attention. That song in particular could be something to really set them apart and grow their fame even more. But then again 5SOS is managed by the same people as 1D who also have a reputation in the past as choosing some of the worst singles from their previous albums. It's like people over there don't even understand what radio wants. "Jet Black Heart" is an icon of a song in itself, which means it'll probably never see the light of day on radio.
